I love the way you guys put your videos together and everything looks so crisp, eye catching, and very well put together. As a videographer and cinematographer, I’m super interested in how you guys put together your videos from the planning to the underwater film gear, and (from a filming perspective) what you guy’s process looks like.
From a former, now retired camera operator for broadcast TV,... Zach you're doing a great job, young man!! Not only do you follow the action well, but your framing is appreciated also. Some people never grasp the concept of telling a story with pictures, and as easy as it is to say and describe, it is entirely different to do. Today's lighter more adaptive gear (less lights to tout out with you, etc. When I started back in the mid 80's I had a camera, a 3/4" portable tape recorder, a tripod and a four light lighting kit, plus a sungun on the camera and battery belt, thankfully things got lighter with betacams and then digital) gives you the freedom to almost be a part of the action you're shooting, and I see lots of people shooting themselves as they pursue lobster, or are spearfishing or a number of other activities. So welcome to the Life By The Bow Crew, and I look forward to many, many fun, action based stories from You, Stephanie and Clay!!
I grew up at the wrong time historically, with all this new technology, as a gear head it's just fantastic!!, now if only my body were about 30 yrs younger!! lol
The music in the videos is absolutely spot on! The editor has an excellent skill set. I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, but there is nothing like the Florida Keys!
My favorite show! Me and my wife have been fishing Channel Islands since covid hit and recorded a bunch of amazing fishing trips. Life by the bow is so inspiring to help others love ocean fishing. Great role models. Thank you Clay & Stephanie!

Thanks once again Stephie’ & Clay for a wonderful flashback to diving the keys as a boy many years ago. I can relive the feel of a bug’ in your hand when they snapped backwards to escape or spiked you with their tail you when you had not learned the skills yet. It was honestly what eventually put me on the path to become a commercial diver years later.. So many reasons to enjoy being young in this video. You two touched my soul once again with this one you two. God bless you and keep you safe.

I would really love a behind the scenes style video about how you set up your gear. You’ve done videos about trailering and fueling and maintaining the boats and what goes on in that aspect, I’d love to see that in a gear version. What type of line you use and weights and what you use for the leaders. And most of all how you tie them, how do you tie the leaders and hooks and all that. How you maintain your rods and reels in the salt, etc

We just came back to Minnesota from a week on Summerland Key. Was hoping to use the fishing info Clay puts into your videos but it was just too windy. (Maybe not too windy for the Haitian guests that landed 4 houses down from us lol)
We did some jet skiing in Key West though. What a blast.
For a week we left all of our daily stress at home and just relaxed.
What was better than coming home to 65 degree weather?
Seeing you guys have a new video out. Thanks. It brings us back and actually does relieve the daily stresses just looking at that beautiful water.

Hola Clay, can you make a video on how to properly cast the net. I see in this video you throwing it flawlessly. Like the technique. Therefore, I wonder if your manner, would be helpful to alleviate some shoulder pain from an old injury. With regards. Charlie Crown
Clay, if you dont mind sir, how did you connect the ski rope to your boat? I have a 21 foot bay boat and was wanting to pull my kids just on a tube this coming summer. Was not sure of how to connect the rope to the boat because I also have power poles. So two questions if if you have the time to answer please, how to connect the rope to the boat and did the rope hit the power poles on turns or the motor? Keep up the good work, always looking forward to a new video from you guys.
If you have stern cleats on each side, just make up a bridal from each cleat behind the motor and powerpoles

Great video guys! Wakeboarding was awesome, Zach must’ve snowboarded a bit in CO. Was wondering if the water was too cold for lobstering, but I guess I better get out there before April 1st. Btw, that’s stand up of you guys to only take the 3 you need and not the 18 you’re allowed. Keep up the great content guys.

Cast net challenge. If you are going to catch your own bait to fish. You need to know how to throw a cast net. Clay is a master. I don’t think we have ever seen Stephanie throw a net. As someone who has never used a cast net ( myself) it might be fun and educational to see the process of a newbie learn how to throw a net. It may not be pretty but it would give people the confidence and direction to learn how. Come on Stephanie show us how it’s done. 🤷♂️

I live in Massachusetts and I’m used to see the lobsters here with the claws, then I see the Florida lobsters without claws, why are they so different?
