Cant believe how much he has come out of his shell, he was so timid at the beginning. Just goes to show good care and patience definitely pays off with animals. He really looks to be enjoying his new manoeuvres. Great job Petco!
I have an electric blue crayfish who's become so friendly he'll gently take food directly out of my hand. When I first got Shorzie (My Crayfish) he was the runt of the litter and would usually sit in the corner of his tank, took about a year of changing around his enclosure and gently hand feeding. I also had to downsize his tank, I initially put him in my 50g along with my Tetras, but he destroyed all my plants and ate a few of my fish... LOL!
I think about this every time Felix makes an appearance. About how he used to hide and hiss, and freeze completely. It has been a true joy watching him.
Every time he reaches his little Mitten out to touch you it makes me want to go hug him. I know you love Felix. I think Felix is the one that loves you more than you love him.❣ you have to spread your love around to everyone. He only has you!
I also work with chameleons and we have 2 at my work place that are as friendly as Felix. Always clawing at the glass to be let out and wanting some attention
Felix has the best enclosure for a chameleon I've ever seen you can see how happy he is .He is one spoiled boy but what would you expect for such a star 🌟 😍
I just have to say, I love you Pedko, you bring out the best videos for us all to watch and I hope to one day visit the Dark Den all the way from South Africa
In my experience of keeping a panther for years. They will dig sometimes at the bottom, and they arent always the best at not falling haha. Be careful, not sure if this will work. Keep up the good work!
This is such a wonderful enclosure! I can totally see it working. I hope the future is bright and im interested to see how well this set up works. Its so much more inviting and inclusive then a glass tank
Felix is cold and grabs on you for heat. Are there self heating pads, and sweaters, for iguanas? **snip** Green iguanas need lots of heat. With a baby green iguana, one heat bulb is sufficient, but with an adult green iguana, you need a bank of at least six lights in order for the green iguana to adequately heat up its entire body. **snip**
From Reptiles Magazine: I suggest using incandescent heat bulbs and a double row of fluorescent UV bulbs so that vitamin D synthesis is possible. UVA and UVB should both be provided for optimum results. Strong UV fluorescent lights are needed to prevent metabolic bone disease. A hotspot of at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit should be provided. Additionally, the heat should come from above the green iguana, so the parietal eye is engaged, thus enabling the green iguana to thermoregulate as required. Located directly on top of the head of green iguanas, behind their eyes, is an unusual scalelike organ called a parietal eye or pineal body. This scalelike sensory organ can detect light, dark and movement. The parietal eye is extremely important for thermoregulation purposes and to warn green iguanas of predators approaching from above, such as birds of prey. Of course, parts of the cage should be cooler, so the green iguana is able to choose the temperature it likes by thermoregulating between hotter and cooler temperatures. A high end of 120 degrees and a cooler end in the low to mid 80s works well with green iguanas. The real key is allowing the green iguana to choose its own body temperature, and all the keeper has to do is provide the means for it to do so.
I've already learned so much about my Bearded Dragon from your channel, as well as a love for spiders. But this episode was so cute! I love how Felix reached out for hugs when ever you walked by
I'm always amazed at how readily he comes up to you and interacts with you, given how chameleons so often are. I also love the open air setups you've given him, he seems to really thrive in them. Really neat to see how curious he is about every new thing, there's so much more to their little brains than we give them credit for.
This Dark Den looks so amazing. I bet it is so much easier now it’s attached to your home. I just couldn’t imaging how that basement could turn into this bright working space. Not only are you a fantastic animal keeper but a pretty great builder. Bravo sir.
I don't think I have ever seen a chameleon this well taken care of. I particularly loved the time lapse of him running around, testing the new branches.
I adore your channel and all of your animals. You are such a good dad to every one of them. They are so blessed to have you to care for them. Thanks for always giving us such good content and enjoyable videos to watch :)
Honestly my favorite resident of the Dark Den. Chameleons in general tend to have large personalities. But its so cool to see one that's so friendly & chill.
You should get an abronia lizard or two, they look stunning and have about the same care as chameleons as far as I know. Maybe they could even live together with Felix? who knows.
Felix is a lucky guy to have you as his owner. Wonderful that you've considered his mental health and made his living space as natural as possible. Will have to keep your cat fully supervised, now that Felix can climb down so close to the floor.
When you first get Felix he was very fiesty to you, now he wants to be on your hand. He loves you, cause you care good for him. Chamaleons are really very very cool animals, I would like keep one also. (My only pets are 13 tarantulas and I love each of them)
I'm so glad that Felix found you. You are the perfect 'dad' for him. Clearly he loves having more places to go, even though he really isn't going anywhere. LOL
Dude, I remember when he first got Felix. and he was so scared and wanted nothing to do with him. It's so heart warming to see him be all needy, hahaha. So cute!!
Its so cool and interesting how curious he was. Always learn something new everyday, and today i learned that Champollions can have super expressive personalities.!
I didn't know that chameleons were so curious and big personalities. Felix is adorable and even though he's brightly-coloured he's hard to seeing all the foliage. I guess that camouflage works really well
Chameleon tongue problems are usually caused by early age calcium deficiencies, and yes unfortunately you've done the mouth feeding so much that he's probably learnt not to bother.
Get a go pro u can put on ur head, and keep the glass fill with soil, and make a springtail, rollie polies, worms a insect habitat plant it alot add wall plants n bark n logs would look amazing like a indoor habitat to the fullest
🙃🙂🤣😅😆 the way he looked at you after you left him on the edge of the glass😅 the way he looked at you was hilarious. Like, " Wtf??? Dad? Really???? You put me on the edge of hell and walk away? 🖕dad.
Felix’s “Pick me up, Dad” pose is so goddamn adorable.
I know right ..... And it's so sad when he reaches out and Petko walks away 😢
I be screaming in my head PICK HIM UP PETKO, PUCK HIM UP lol 😆
@@iGoddess yea "PUCK" HIM UP!
I think Felix exploring his enclosure is my favorite time-lapse ever. He's a cutie! Lol. Thanks for another great video, Petko.

Didn't work with Chips.
@@headrockbeats because Chips is active when petko isn't around most of the time. It's harder that way

He’s like “why is my favorite loud warm squishy tree always moving away from me?”
13:15 Felix climbing up the wire like "oh nah bro you gotta replace this tube."

Its beautiful to see the transformation of Felix, from shy and cranky to adventurous and clingy.
Felix is so inquisitive and adorable, love that curious boy
I also work with chameleons and we have 2 at my work place that are as friendly as Felix. Always clawing at the glass to be let out and wanting some attention
I would add a manual water dripper above the leaves that will slowly drip water all day so he has access to water whenever he wants.
Imagine a 24/24 streaming of Félix' enclosure chillin and doing his stuff, it would be so cool and relaxing, like lofi clips with the girl studying
Yes please
Yes please!! I need this in my life..😍
that's a really good idea
Great idea, I would definitely watch!
Yeah that would be awesome 👌
I'd totally watch that!
Maybe put some relaxing nature sounds along with it 🎶
I just love how Felix has warmed up and become so much more courageous in the time that you've had him. Felix has a great dad!
Just love chameleons little graby mitten hands
This one dislike was Felix knowing he can't escape.

It's amazing to see the progression Felix made from always trying to hide from you to always reaching out to you. Absolutely adorable ❤
It is so nice to watch how much he adores you. In the beginning he was hiding from you and eying you suspiciously.
"I thought that I know the word, but it seems that it's knot the case" adorable! Haha
