Those ridiculously large rims, probably 22-24”, and tires with almost no sidewall, essentially turned that pickup into a heavy car. That truck is just a pavement princess.😁
Pavement princess! Love it! I have not heard that term before.
More likely 26" or 28"
Mall Crawler.
💯
But it’s pretty.
Jeep dude wasn't happy that he was put in that position! Good on him! What a good guy!
I would love to have one of the red hats
Someone needs to educate the guy in the GMC that those wheel and tires he has on the pickup are totally worthless in mud and snow.
It was said in the video it is 2WD.
I never understood what people put big shiny rims and stupid tires on a truck then go off road and wonder why they get stuck
@@paulmatakovich9096 did you not notice the Carolina squat on the truck also? Should let you know enough of the mind set of the owner. It's not about have a functional truck.
But.....what would we watch????? 😂
@@paulmatakovich9096if you pick the right tires and are a great driver you don't!!!!
Shout out to the fellow Jeeper who didn’t want to make Jeff lose out on money and wasting gas for coming up there
Jeep guy was most kind to try to help out but he was totally correct in what he advised the Denali man. If you've called a tow truck service, you should be relying on that professional tow trucker to recover your vehicle safely - - - not a guy with the best of intentions but without the proper equipment, training, or experience. Excellent recovery, EA !!
Yes and no on the training and experience and proper equipment. Yea it’s nice to have an 80-90 thousand dollar tow truck but a lot of the times you don’t need all that, sometimes all you need is a strap and a truck
😂
@@Richpope87 In which case you don't call a tow truck. That's a $h!t move.
Betcha that’s the first mud ever been on them tires.
I bet the pick-up driver didn't say anything to the Jeep driver because he probably hoping to get unstuck before you guys came so he didn't have to pay any money for the rescue. The jeep driver probably just doing it to be nice and not expecting to get paid for it.
What I thought to. He was hoping to get out to avoid costs. Probably wouldn't even call to cancel either.
Definitely a possibility. I’ve had that done to me. As I pulled up, there was a 4X4 truck pulling out the van I was supposed to winch out.
The tires on the van looked more “off road worthy” than what’s on that truck.
That guy took a 2WD pickup to the mountains? That was a hard lesson to learn.
I lost count the amount of people I or my dad have towed out of ditches back home. And the stories I heard of "I wasn't driving very fast".
3 cheers for Jeep guy ! … he’s a man of honor
shame on the high heel Birks with white socks wearing Yuppie 🤨
thank YOU, ✨Miss Kendra, Kristen and Jeff …
Jeff,Kristi and family, I have to say I really admire your patience and tolerance for silly or nasty people. Not sure how you do it. Keep up the good work you do and more importantly, Be safe out there
Jeff- did you seriously have to turn that truck around FOR that guy in front of his girlfriend? Please tell us you confiscated his “Man Card”…..I’M DYING!!!
🤣 Yes I was like WTH. maybe dude not want brown in his underwear.
"You are not going to leave me...." Of course not, Jeff wants to get paid before he leaves.
There is no way I could live up on one of those mountains. I would never leave the house. 😂❤
There is no way I would have hooked my jeep, and yes I have a wrangler, to that Pimped up lookin GMC truck!
I know nothing about tow trucking. I've never been towed. I've never been to Gatlinburg. Just western Tennessee I've subscribed for the last 3 weeks. I've watched all videos for the last 2 months. Will keep working my way backwards. I like the illegal parks especially at that church with the crazy signs.
You go !!!
The guy was hoping the jeep would get him out then he could disappear without paying to be towed out.
Good job on everything. Those air BNB rental owners need to post 4X4 or AWD vehicles are highly recommended for the rental property and they might as well leave your business card with the renters 😂
Greeting EA Family! Hope everyone is enjoying a nice St.Patty’s Day!
Jeff, these younger drivers today, a lot of them never drove these back roads or mountain roads so it’s understandable when they get in these situations, and the young man was very lucky he had you to help him. Jeff and Kristen when my wife and I come to Gatlinburg, it’s nice to know everything auto has your back 👍🏻. From Kentucky 😊.
Shame on them people who rent out those places and don't give all pertinent information. In the end it costs them multiple ways. Having to refund money getting bad reviews etc.
Unfortunately, you have a very small window of opportunity to get a refund from those places and it usually isn't going to be the day you attempted to arrive.
That was really awkward. Nice truck too. Great job guys, stay safe out there.
Ah, give the dude with the pickup a break. I don't know any guy- including myself- who didn't go through a phase where how his ride looked to his peers was his number one consideration. I'm sure that when he bought it the last thing on his mind was navigating a muddy mountain road.
Me not paying attention, I though they were driving Big white in the beginning of the first clip. Jeep guy was nice when he found out they called a tow truck
big wheels with almost no rubber and no body clearance on tires that is half the problem 2nd issues is bringing a mall crawler of paved road lol all show no go
Just because you have 4 wheel drive.. doesn't mean 4 wheel drive with street tires will get you where you want to go.
Man, what was the jeep guy's problem? He apparently was trying to help but when you show up, he starts yelling saying it wasnt his job to pull him out as if he was being forced or something. What a weird way to act.
Sounded to me like he was kinda reading the kid the riot act for having him help without saying someone was on the way already, hoping he’d get out of having a tow/recovery bill. If he’d have known EA was called he would’ve left it alone. It teaches responsibility which seems to be lacking in youth these days. Own up, pay up, and you’ll not do that again, lesson learned, fortunately unscathed.
@@ridingwithairbubble1694exactly
Wait, those low profile tires and ridiculous rims didn't help him in the mud? Shocked, I am!
People watch the recoveries on Utube, go buy a kinetic rope, and are suddenly experts at it....
After running with an off road club form more than a dozen years I started to understand just how little I knew about recoveries....
Do Yo Thang, team EA! $4k worth of wheels and ol boy is stuck...Most Denalis I've seen are AWD but that doesn't mean they can't get stuck. Y'all ROCK! Be safe!
we see more AWD/4WD vehicles upside down in the snow around here than anything else, especially after the first snow fall. just because you can drive all 4 means you can drive like a fool.
@@johnhufnagel 100%
Wise advice on the air bnb! Hope they got some $ back
Great job as usual Jeff & Kristen. I agree with some others regarding the pickup with the giant wagon wheels and rubber band tires. You indicated the Police stated teenagers were "joy-riding" in the service van. Guess that meant the van was stolen? Always an adventure, especially when you think it's going to be an easy day. Keep yourselves safe EA Team!!
we call that truck guy a "smooth brain bro dozer" around here. those wheels looked like they belonged on a donk.
That's embarassing with the dude in the truck. He's got huge wheels on it and rubberband tires that he slid off. Then to top it off he couldn't back out of a drive way, if the truck is too big to back up then trade it in for a sedan.
Love the channel and your work ethics. What I love more is that you’re both real.
Good on you Jeff, nice to see you are looking after your fingers by wearing gloves too, Thanks for the video.
Great video Kendra. Joy riding guys looked like they were having fun till that ditch reached out and grab em and Jeep guy was trying to help just from the wrong end. That GMC is not set up for mountain roads or back roads. He needs to keep it on the highway.
To bad i didn't see you guys around this past weekend. I did wear my pay to park shirt. You guys are great and please stay safe. I will be back in a couple of months hope to see y'all. Donna
Sorry we missed you! Hope you had a good trip!
So in a situation like the big wheel guy, would the Airbnb reimburse him for the cost of the rental since he was unable to get to the cabin? I think the owners should have to maintain their roads leading to their property.
Jeff and Kristen, you guys are amazing! Great video! This is one of those things I've never experienced. We've lived in Florida since 1967, and although the sand here can be a real trap, we don't have the same environmental things to deal with as one does in the mountains! We have some that are worse, but some are not as severe!
Sand is a whole other beast!
Grew up and learned to drive on that old sugar sand. Traded that for the mountains a few years back. Everyone I know from FL up here agrees that's why we adapted to driving as well as we did. Just wish the tourists from down there would practice a little before they come on vacation.
@@user-ql3fd2zd3u I have to tell you that we get plenty of Northerners who really either have a healthy disregard for the traffic laws and good driving practices. I was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, and we've been in Florida since 1967. Most of those years we've traveled back to Fort Smith to visit family. I do miss the mountains of Northwest Arkansas and those around Franklin and Johnson Counties. Sugar sand is really bad. We lived in East Texas while my husband was in college, and not long after we first moved to Florida, my husband and one of his brothers drove to Playlinda Beach in Brevard County, he pulled up to park and the sand caved in. Getting out cost us the bands and linkage in the transmission of our car. So, I've learned how NOT to drive. I'm 78 years old now, and vision issues took me out from behind the wheel of any car more than 6 years ago. My husband has passed on now, but my son drives me wherever I need to go. Thanks for reply. @hamrad645!
P. S. To reply to Lee Carlson, we took I-40 from Memphis to I-540 at Van Buren, where we took 540 on into South Fort Smith. For some reason, your reply isn't showing up under my original post. Don't know what that is about. Before I-40 was completed (and that's a whole lot of years ago) I really can't remember what highways we used to take. But, we've been in Florida since 1967, so you can guess or add up how many years ago that's been! LOL!
lol the last tow you did the truck looked like one of those squated boys big wims and 2wd 😂
Even if it was 4 wheel or all wheel drive , with those rims and tires he still would have got stuck. But once again EA made easy work of gettin unstuck .
People just don't know how to drive forward, let alone backward. Then, they attempt to drive on back roads that are muddy. They need to drive on flat land only.
I hope those lads were all punished for taking that van.
That truck SHOULD have tow loops. Not going to pull the bumper off
Kids dad bought him a truck, but failed to buy him some common sense. Nice rims don't do the same as nice tires.
Beautiful Partnership ❤
Thank you for another amazing video. Keep up all the hard work Team EA!
I just told wy wife that she ever needed to be towed again to leave the keys with the vehicle. lol.
I have yet to wrap my head around these giant rims with low profile tires. Looks cool driving around town maybe but ...
Why is it that so many roads in that area have such steep ditches on the side? I've driven countless back country mountain roads all across the USA and can only remember a handful of small spots like that but in this area it seems the norm and part of the design. Is it so rock and mudslides have a place to go and don't wash away the road? Just seems like these roads are begging for one tire to slightly go off the road to fully eat up any vehicle with no unassisted escape.
People try to help and sometimes that is a disaster! You two are awesome! Take care!
2 wheel drive trucks have their purpose. They would never work for me.
You two stay safe and keep doing a great job on the tows and getting them out of ditch
And I do like watching Big Red at work, BTW! 😀
Rip the bumper off or catastrophic failure axles brakes rear end shaft brakes driveline drops then got a slew of catastrophic failure and that's why a tow truck is better than pulling😂
Why the assumption that the Jeep tied off to the truck’s bumper? I’ve pulled many of trucks out with a Jeep and would only tie off to a bumper if it’s aftermarket welded. Jeepers don’t just yank with a rope and have the stuck vehicle rev in gear. It’s like you didn’t grow up in the mountains (we’ll call the Smokies the mountains) and didn’t own a low-geared Jeep. The dogging on the Jeep was off-putting, ignorant, and unnecessary.
Jeff, you got a hair cut and beard trim. Was it getting long for ya. ? It doesn't effect your towing at all 😊
Imagine needing another man to drive your truck for ya 😂
I need to get 4 of those flashlights !!! Amazing 😊
A full Buc-ee's costume? Seriously? 🤣🤣 What kind of furry **** was going on there? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He had no idea what you were talking about when you said "the hoghead was buried" 😂....
Hello from the Netherlands.
thanks for the video Jeff en Kristie and the EA-team.
Kind regards, Hollandduck
That sure did look like city tires on that truck. Probably not the most compatible for mountain roads. A beauty of a truck though!
Yeah, that tire and wheel combo should never touch dirt or gravel.😁
If people only had more brains then money , the 4 grand he spent on stupid wheels would have saved him
On the GMC truck you did a great job as always
Hay guys The other Van was a GMC newer model. That van was a Ford
Great job on the wench outs thanks Kendra stay safe and God Bless
id have turned around and left them stuck and if they called back said well you had it covered so i left
Great 👍 Video EA family.
When will we get some "MEMEBERS ONLY" content? Like some Videos of confrontational encounters with tow away customers or your encounters with questionable folks who need wenchin' 😂. If you guys start posting "MEMEBERS ONLY" content 😉 then we can get more "MEMEBERS" in our "ONLY" Everything Auto fan club. 😊
I hope I spot you two next week while visiting Gatlinburg. It would be kind of cool. For me at least, lol
Time 11:11 I don't think that's the same vehicle there Jeff?? One was a Chevy and this one is a Ford.. same white color.. but different vehicles.. 😅 it's ok. It's early in the morning. LoL
Wonder which licence plate is the legal one for that van, or if either plate is registered to it?
Bashing on Jeep guy in this video and others in past videos just doesn't sound very professional to me. Yeah, he may have been using the wrong method, ( and whos to say any tow guy wouldn't damage the vehicle) but he offered his help with what he had to assist the GMC guy. It seems to me that if I was in distress, from out of town, as he was and someone offered there help I would be grateful and if he was successful in the recovery I would call the professional tow guy and let him know (maybe even offer some $$ for his time.) Just my simple view. Stay safe!!
It's a GMC so it wouldn't take much to tear the bumper off
Wow, 😅. This is going to be an interesting season
GMC pickup..
Lmao 😂😂😂
Fancy oversized wheels with summer street tires/tread in a 4x4.. does Absolutely No Good on a rain-soaked dirt road.
That GMC was 2WD.
Be safe out there! Pay to park!
maybe both their bumpers would come off or a tow hitch going through a window
Another cowboy cadillac truck... looks good on hard surface highways but not any good off the highway....
I have a o3 georgieboy all most same floor plan
HEY! Hello Jeff and Kristen!
Just out of curiosity, at what altitude was the white van at? Ballpark is fine. Thx!
22:32 why would you try to go up a muddy mountain road with those ridiculous over sized rims and tires ? That is not a muddy road truck thats a pamper me truck lol . But i was raised on muddy roads and trucks lol
Deadman jack and a come along I'd got that jasper out.😄
Yeah right there off to the right on the left on going up on the right going down
Sounds like the road in the Ozarks going up to Eureka Springs... it does exactly that.
Love the episodes. 💜
How come on some episodes you put a cover over plates/blur them and others you don’t?
It’s public information… they don’t even need to cover them.
What are people thinking of going that far in woods in muddy conditions
Not the same van
@@michaelellis5338 I was talking bout Ford truck that was stuck
OMG!! Doesn’t the guy in the jeep have enough sense to know he’s gonna yank the truck’s bumper off???🤷♀️
Hello Jeff!
Jeep dude trying to be a wrecker 😂😂
What are thoese orrange rods on the front of your truck?
Tho helpful if your truck hood high cant see road. Also other is can help guide where winch point to point
Those are so he can see where his winch is while he is driving.
Pimp rims and street tire combined with no knowledge on 4wd operation...
Do you guys ever sleep? 😊

Hmmmm...Have to work on your Chevy or Ford skills there Jeff!
Hmmm, lots of spam in your comments.
Report report report…
Never understood the point of 2wd trucks, like seriously, your buying the truck because you dont want to get stuck... He should of saved his money on the oversized rims and tires and just gotten a real Truck.
