Another really useful tip: throwing a golden apple into any dish you cook will guarantee a critical dish, which boosts any buff the dish normally gives.
Another useful tip: You can use time reversal on the rocks that have fallen down from the sky (you occasionally see one fall, trailing blue light) these make for a very good elevator to get gliding and sometimes lift you up to a little sky island with a chest on it.
I've only been playing the game for a few days and I do this multiple times a day lol. I just figured out that I can do the trick with ultrahand then time reversal too. These new abilities are SO much more useful than the runes in BOTW!
I thought this was self-explanatory given the context of the ability and the trailers. This actually was the ONLY practical use I found early on for it besides solving shrines and occasional small help in fights.
Another good tip is if you have a BOTW save file and horses on that save file, you will be able to use those horses right away from any stable. No need to go and try taming one. Its pretty cool that they did this.
@@deathnotelover11 it was super cool to see that Zeldas horse Gannon's horse and the couple others I had were just sitting there. Was a really pleasant surprise
Another super helpful tip is after you leave fruit at a cherry blossom tree go on your scope and pin 6 lights at a time, then go on your map and edit the pins to whatever stamp you want. Then even after the lights fade you still have all the locations!
And everyone called BOTW a masterpiece 😂 TOTK is just on another level in terms of how you can play a game. videos like this are a necessity because it’s can get extremely overwhelming anyway thanks dude your vids have helped me out a few times over the past few days and it was very much needed.
Another one I noticed that I haven’t seen mentioned a lot is much like the shrines/light roots, the black walls in the depths map correlate exactly with the bodies of water on the surface map. So if you want to get somewhere in the depths, check the surface for rivers first. If there’s a river on the surface, there’s gonna be a wall there in way the depths. Makes it easier to plan ahead when you’re setting out to explore areas you haven’t lit up yet
I like how they managed the game, enemies don’t carry the claymores and stuff they used to carry, so far. It also really incentivizes using the fuze feature over doing castle runs off the start
You can also make your own makeshift elemental weapons Fusing elemental fruit to arrows give easy elemental effects (only last for 1 hit if attached for a weapon) You can fuse Rubies (fire), Topaz (lightning), Opal (water), Sapphire (ice), Shooting Stars (light) to make elemental staves from any weapon but are more powerful is attacked to a magic rod. Amber & Diamond can be fused to enhance attack power with Diamond being really powerful if you get it early game otherwise it'll be on par with mid/late-game enemy horns
A good tip is that the depths actually follows the outline of the surface map almost perfectly, cutting certain areas off until you reach hidden chasms to access them and such. Essentially, almost all rivers will be replaced with walls in the depths to make you go around. I have the surface mini map active if I'm in the depths trying to access certain places marked from old maps etc. Hope that's not too spoiler-y
3:45 You can also use a bomb flower which can be more affective if you hit the middle of the pack, these can be easily found in the depths, just be sure to have lots of food because enemies in the depths are a lot more stronger than surface monsters.
Pro tip, if you're in the depths, and open your map to the surface, your minimap will also show the surface, and since the depths are just an inverted version of the topography on the surface, it can help you find your way 😁
@@LuciusC Super useful early on, and even later on too, because while it doesn't give as much of a damage boost, it means that you aren't screwed if an archer targets you, or if you can't hit-stun an enemy. Not something you'd want to do with all weapons, mind, but it is useful.
I was wondering how the supposed new house is like? Cause I’m skeptical if they made it better or not, like maybe have an area for farming food at least or a vendor nearby to trade with
You know that one episode in the animated series when link shield jumps on a bomb and gets launched up? Well, if you fuse a bomb flower and a shield it works too!
That ultrahand/recall trick can be improved by taking something else along for the ride. Use 2 flat platforms and when you recall up m, UH the other platform with you and send it high. Repeat for an ever increasing height
Oh my god I preordered the game through target and I just got an email that says it’s delayed till May 26th. Wtf. Lol luckily I knew it was coming between the 13th and the 16th but I can’t wait so I pre ordered it at game stop, the other day so I can get it today. I am just planning on returning it but I feel bad for anyone who isn’t able to do that or didn’t do that. Target sucks. Never pre ordering a game from Target again. Im so excited to get this game.
There are two light pods you unlock under the Great Plateau (that I found thus far) that do not have a corresponding shrine above. BUT they're locked to important points above from Breath of the Wild. The first is right after you go in. It is directly under the first shrine (Magnesis) you enter in Breath of the Wild. The second is under the rejuvination shrine you begin the game at in Breath of the Wild.
Here's a tip for the depths that took me a little too long to figure out. If you're ever trying to get somewhere and a huge wall is blocking your way and you're following it trying to find somewhere where you can continue to the west let's say... Check the regular overworld map. You can't cross bodies of water in the depths. So if there's a river in the overworld map. That's the impassible wall in the depths.
I was torn between buying the OLED or not since I had a lite and was just not fond of the ideal of not playing on a big screen and honestly so glad I bought it. Pick up time 1h🎉🎉
Thank you so much I JUST started the game Im not even on the Lookout Post yet where Purah told me to go this is a really fun game thank you for helping us have MORE fun!
Another advice from me if you want to farm elementary materials for arrows: Shoot or even throw an elementar fruit/item at ANY Chuchu and make sure to kill it with it to get different type of element jelly! No need to search for specific ChuChu!
This was a trick in BOTW as well, although they were less useful there. Side note, it also works to change the element of jelly that's just laying on the ground, so you can change it later. Just be careful not to actually strike them if you're using an elemental weapon or they rupture. But with something like a rod you can batch convert dozens of jelly at once.
Ok I was a bit timid watching this vid because I already kept myself from watching any trailers or any playthroughs or streamers play this because I really wanted to experience the game for myself completely blind. I decided to run around and check out old Hyrule. This is going to be a long game I want to enjoy playing. I'm currently on my way to Hateno Village. The new shrines are quite a bit different. Spent 45 minutes in the castle fighting new enemies. The Horriblins were fun to fight. Now, I'm looking for different armor and weapons. What I don't like is the way items are listed. BOTW was better in my eyes.
You only need one miner's set piece. You wear one and just run through the depths i the dark because the gloom glows. Use pins to mark the lightroots in the distance and just go running
Always keep a weapon or 2 in your inventory that has a boulder or a spiked iron ball fused to. Use these weapons for ore mining, zonaite mining, and breaking armor off of armored enemies. (Use 2 handed weapons for this)

More tips, fusing a cart or minecart to a shield turns it into a skateboard, fusing a spring makes enemies and projectiles bounce of the shield
no shot... bout to try that cart one
If you try to shield surf with a spring you get a big jump out of it
Cartshields can be used to ride rails, too.
3:45 You can also use a bomb flower which can be more affective if you hit the middle of the pack, these can be easily found in the depths, just be sure to have lots of food because enemies in the depths are a lot more stronger than surface monsters.

Yoooo!
That's awesome 😎 I had no idea!
1 charges Is 1 ball drop. 2 is 3, 3 is 5, 4 is 6 and 5 gives you 10. Use small charges for this effect, always use 5 to double your money's worth
5 gives you 12, not 10
@Khana Santamaria then they updated the game to give more. Point being use 5 charges instead of one.l or less. For 30 plus use 5 big charges.
