Really like the "poke first, go in for the kill" gameplan. A lot of times I've tried to oneshot someone, just for them to live at 10 hp and use their escape/get off me tool. I'll try to implement it, thank you for the guide!
Amazing guide bro, I knew you cooked when you mentioned you didn’t want this to be like other guides that basically just explain the abilities. This is super helpful. I’ve been looking for guides like these for all my characters, this is the first actual one I’ve found
my mind was blown by everything you said between 7:00 and 9:06. you gave us all the details of how exactly her combo's do damage and why like we were 5 yo. thank you!
I have bad aim as well so the only thing i do is to just snipe pple from affar bc its easier to hit far target( dmg will be reduced ofc but doing dmg is better than missing dmg) The only time i fight close is when im ulting or sneaking on an off guard player But this playstyle is not best so practice fights close range until ur comfortable to do it closer
I understand what you mean by "self sufficient" is that she can just do her own thing on the map and play away from the team and can just play around health packs for sustain, but I feel like among all the strong duelist like Hela/Hawkeye/Psylocke/Starlord/etc, she's actually quite "team reliant" I think. And by that I mean if your teammates (at least the tank) aren't doing enough pressure from the front, it's really really hard to pull off a successful flank. All the psylocke games where I'm popping hard like 30-50 kills are all when my tank is playing quite well and pressuring a lot from the front.
Last minute grinded through Bronze 3 to Gold 3 mainly as Star Lord so I could earn that Moon Knight skin. (I got it, so worth it) Started working on the same thing today, but noticed I had been struggling a lot. One match I died to a Psylocke who kept hunting me down. That only got me interested in trying out Psylocke, and this video hooked and sold me the character. Even the simple left click spam right click is insanely cool and fun. Great video!
Finally a guide video that doesn't spend the first 10 minutes explaining what every single ability does. You are goated for this. Hands down best guide video I've seen yet. Subbed
Haven't watched the video but i got Psylocke to GM1 lets see if i learn anything new Interesting, i use my combos as Left click-> Right click -> Left Click -> Retract -> as opposed to the instant retract as the retract cancels the fire rate CD, someone correct me but this should be more overrall sustained dps, maybe less burst though. I agree with avoiding the dash in the combo, its too risky in higher elo where dashing even slightly off can get you killed. Especially in this game where you get caught on corners easily 16:22 I disagree, this is very useful for when you right click and finish a target with the output and you can retract just to squeeze out a little more dps on another target. Ive finished low hp chars back-to-back a couple times with this trick. Overall very good guide, I think this and Eskay's are the best on YT. Somethings i think you should've mentioned (a bit nitpicky) are matchups. Psylocke can 1v1 any character in the game but there are some matchups that imo are in their favor. A) Black Panther. This is my toughest as a good BP will only challenge you when hes full HP(300) as he wont die to your combo, he generates shield, and hes hard to hit. Personally when i encounter a BP on the flank i take the duel but go back to my team or a health pack if i go low as this prevents him from diving supps assuming you have the aim to hit him. It is 100% your job to do this. 2) Mantis. I never dive a Mantis unless I 100% know shes used sleep as she can kill you from hitting it. I also dont challenge a mantis if the other healer turns to help them as you CANNOT outdamage a mantis with a pocket. In these cases its best to poke around a corner and wait for an opportunity. If you keep her aiming at you her resources will be low since she won't hit most shots and her team will be fiending for it. ALSO very important is you can kill a mantis through her ult with yours if shes the ONLY person in your ult. Because of this i tend to solo ult Mantises when i find them alone as they'll instinctively pop ult and then die, which is a huge trade for you. 3) Psylocke 1v1s. First to go invis will lose most of the time. This is my experience, so save your invis and if youre around a health pack(where this 1v1 will happen most) get it first even if you're not low hp. If the Psylocke has a Magik Team-up, the one with the Team-up will win given equal skill. 4) Groot, Thor, Peni. Maybe its just me but these are the easiest tanks to bully on Psy. Do not be afraid to bait them into a 1v1, you will win almost all the time as they have big hitboxes and hardly any defensive CDs. 5) Namor. This anti-dive character will ruin your plans but in my experience you have to find an alternative as ive spent matches clearing his squids but end up losing. Ideally, you should ignore him and play around corners he cant see you but honestly I swap if the Namor is quite good as its a very difficult matchup for me.
As a gold psylocke this on great ASSUMING you hit your shots. Also often times there team is always together that it's hard to actually get into a 1v1 situation and hard to actually confirm kills I can't do much if I'm being jumped by 2 of there teammates AND there getting healed. Honestly I find venom the easiest to bully but the hardest to kill. Thors are 50/50 since all good thor usually puts enough pressure where I gotta dip groot is a non issue and peni....how do you even get close to penj her invisible mines are annoying to deal with and she almost always has her team with her. As for 1v1s that's just a skill issue on my part. There usually 50/50. My issue really is just that it's hard to do anything when there entire team is there
@MythicAce218 hey man, Im currently GM3 again with a 70% wr so far. I would suggest starting on your team and looking for a safe angle to take for a couple seconds. The big click for me on Psylocke was that you don't HAVE to live in their backline. You can pester the supports or DPS and if 2 of them take their attention on you, you can just leave while still peppering them. They'll try to chase you but you have more mobility so you should get away most of the time. This way, you create isolated targets and you can either look to take a 1v1 or go back to your team quickly and take the temporary player advantage to burst a tank or DPS. If your average accuracy is below 31%, try playing a bunch of doom matches and mess with your settings. I was stuck in GM because of mediocre aim but once you can consistently hit the one-shot combo, carrying matches will be a lot easier. Lastly, don't tunnel vision into shooting tanks. There are better characters for that like Bucky, Hela, etc. only shoot tanks if they're alone without a team (like a Thor that pushed too deep or a Hulk with no bubble), or if there's currently a support Ult as it'll help you build Ult faster since you can't kill anything else during Luna or Cloak Ult.
@doodgoi9102 living in there backline is also hard to do when there entire team is actually together it's the same problem I have when playing magik where I can kill anyone because all of them are together(tho I've seen some good magiks do well against anything entire team is ain't that good.) I gotta check my aim when I get back on but it's average at best. I'm always worried about messing with settings because it always feels so werid to play with higher sens Thank you for that tip of not living in backline. I'll keep that in mind for when j can really be in there backline I usually don't focus tanks unless there below half health anyway But anyway thank you. Gold is where j should be at(def my skill level atm MAYBE low plat) but man the silver climb is harder sometimes. Between the smurfs. teammates that don't be a team and being forced to go healer only for pur dps to suck. It is not fun. Esp as a moon knight main(might be switching to pyslocke tho cuz she mad fun)
@@MythicAce218 The biggest tip I can give you across all characters is to be patient. Someone always makes a mistake, it's just a matter of making sure their mistakes are punished. If their team feels like they're always together it means you're too early or too late and need to wait for your tanks to take aggro or fall back if most of your team is dead. Some games are unwinnable but if you're actively trying to get better, watch back your replays and question your positioning, if there were any play that could have been better, and why you died. Do this and I assure you, you'll make it to diamond in no time at all. After that it's just a matter of refining your playstyle, reaction times, and teamplay.
I think you got insane potential. Well spoken, nice voice, very informative, a nice bit of humor as well. Earned my subscription! looking forward to your future posts.
Previously I had been doing Left Click -> Right Click -> Left Click -> Right Click, but now I realize that clicking right click twice before left clicking again is where the real damage gets done.
I saw a psylocke guide with a crazy combo. The dude sat in bad breath distance of the tank and did like a 8 shot dps combo with melees mixed in. He had a few other long ass combos but I never see them in psy gameplay
yea as i stated a lot of people tend to overcomplicate things in hopes of it looking and feeling cooler but the reality is: left click > right click > left click go brrrrrrrrrrrr
Hey, thanks for the video! literally the BEST hero guide video I have ever seen. You should make a whole youtube series dedicated to showing every heroes combo potential. THAT would be dope! I am NOT just saying this to be nice or something either.... I literally think this is probably the best youtube video I have ever seen that thoroughly breaks down how to play a hero/character in a game. So... thanks again brutha!

Honestly the best guide ive seen for her by far. I play on console and its hard to do a 180 dash back but i know i can have my sensitivity a bit higher now because ill be so close to them and i can poke from mid range to get my abilities back. I was playing her almost like Sombra from overwatch staying midrange only dashing if theyre low hp, but her kit isnt purely midrange, she feels great to play! by far the most fun character in the game along with Magik imo

Noticing that as a tank/supp main since I've fought good Sais and shut down bad ones.

Firstly, this is great. Thanks for putting this together. In your opinion, if a Psylocke pick isnt working, is there a go to second pick that will generally be strong where she isnt?
The ult focuses whoever has been hit the least I believe. So if there are 3 people in the zone, it will hit each person once before hitting them a 2nd time.
So I’m watching this and I’m thinking to myself, after hearing 18:50 , a quality of life for psylocks ult is having 3 extra key binds for when she ults she can either target vanguard, strategist or duelist, it might seem clunky but I feel like it would make her ult better without making it overpowered, only argument is keybind for console players but tbh we have the pads on the right be barely use, and in her ult she’s basically not doing anything but moving so it’s not that hard to click on the pad for switching targets based on roles, but idk thought I’d leave this here 🥹
I have been overprioritizing tanks it seems. I noticed the synergy of getting her cooldowns back after a rush by using enemy tanks as a battery, but I was spending too much time on them. Once I get my CD back I need to pressure priority targets again to help the team.
Like tysm. I got MVP win after i watched this guide video. It helped me alot to understand her abilitys and play style and the game strategy of psylocke🙏🌸
I play around plat, and I seem to struggle killing Luna and cloak and daggers, they seem to be near impossible to kill because of their survivability- all other heroes seem easy, any tips for that? Usually people on the team would be screaming to target the supports but I feel that Psylocke is more of a opportunistic character right? As a higher ranked Psylocke player, do you try to mainly target supports when you can to win team fights or just try and bully the squishies you know you can kill? Otherwise great video/guide love the enthusiasm
Thnx for this video bro really helped me alot i have a question tho what are your aim/ sensitivity settings and which crosshair do u feel works best with psylocke?
I thought I was the only one thinking you can shred tanks with this, especially lower level players should do that as they can't miss the basic combo on tanks and charge right click back with the passive
Hit Eternity a little while ago, thats why theres a title update but im GM in the video!
i watched 4 Psylocke guides and it is the best

The ult focuses whoever has been hit the least I believe. So if there are 3 people in the zone, it will hit each person once before hitting them a 2nd time.
So I’m watching this and I’m thinking to myself, after hearing 18:50 , a quality of life for psylocks ult is having 3 extra key binds for when she ults she can either target vanguard, strategist or duelist, it might seem clunky but I feel like it would make her ult better without making it overpowered, only argument is keybind for console players but tbh we have the pads on the right be barely use, and in her ult she’s basically not doing anything but moving so it’s not that hard to click on the pad for switching targets based on roles, but idk thought I’d leave this here 🥹
W's gang boutta go crazy w her
I'm a GM psylocke main and didn't realise that was her passive lmao, good video
nah but that spawn tip got u my sub icl 10/10 guide
funny thing is I utilize almost all these tricks but im just soass at aiming i miss 30% of my shots bruh

That thumbnail DAMN
Bro I watched 5 minutes and felt like I had already seen enough
Thank you for the good guide Margot Robbie
No problem thegrayfox23
Bro is elite in rivals and streetfighters
I have been overprioritizing tanks it seems. I noticed the synergy of getting her cooldowns back after a rush by using enemy tanks as a battery, but I was spending too much time on them. Once I get my CD back I need to pressure priority targets again to help the team.
My dumbass didn't know her cooldowns are quicker when you do damage. Probably why I'm plat
Like tysm. I got MVP win after i watched this guide video. It helped me alot to understand her abilitys and play style and the game strategy of psylocke🙏🌸
What sensitivity do you use? Great guide btw!
W guide bro 🔥
great vid ty for teaching
that was great thanks!
Great video brother! Can you share your sensitivity settings?
for psylocke specifically im on: 400 dpi, 3.6 sens
@@BeagleRivalsdoes that mean if i have 800dpi, ill run 1.8sens?
14:17 sorry bro its hard not to blow my whole load whenever i see a luna 😢
The ult targets the person that has been hit leaset so if someone new has entrede the cirkle it Will hit that person
do you have a guide for your crosshair lol? insane guide btw
