I started a press on nail shop 3 years ago and it went VIRAL on TikTok. I had more orders than I could handle and had to teach my boyfriend how to do nails as perfect as me so he can help lol. but unfortunately I had a high risk pregnancy and had to shut it down for the last 3 years. I had been missing my business SOOOO much the entire time. so I finally decided to do this again BUT something in me was telling me to start over from scratch. I know that sounds dumb throwing away all my past customers and reviews and followers but you have no idea how strong this feeling was. A fresh start. so I did. and now here I am BARELY launching again. so this is all info I probably know but you can never learn too many new things and I actually did get useful tips from these. thank you for taking the time to make these videos and im eager to watch the rest!
I was literally so scared to start, and I bought everything to start. This is video came at a perfect time. I can do this I just have to believe in myself.
This came just in time for me. I purchased everything I need, made 15 sample sets, and have a website but haven’t really promoted it much yet. But I did managed to go HAM and gained 300 followers from 0 in three weeks so I’m patting myself on the back for that .
OMG WAIT- I found you on TikTok when I first thought of selling press on nails. Now I'm actually taking it seriously I fall into a pit of your videos and taking on genuinely helpful tips?! Wow, life really does go full circle. I didn't even realise I was watching the same person-
I'm not sure if I'll start a press-on business, but I really enjoy your videos. So many of your tips apply (see what I did there?) to other endeavors. Keep up the great work!
I have been kicking around this idea for about a year now, and I almost gave up because I didn't think I could do any of the designs that I see a lot of others doing. Hearing yo say stick to your own style really designated with me. Thanks for a great advise. Great video!!
I think some of these are just good advice for business in general. I think one of the more important things when it comes to not only grabbing but maintaining customers is good customer service. Doesn't have to be perfect, all you really have to do is respond asap and do your best to work through any situation. Nothing turns me off more than a company having awful or barely existing customer service.
I was obsessed with press on nails back then and I wanted to start making my own! I saw your vids and it gave me a push to start making my own ! Thank you so much:>> I'm currently making my first set hope it turns out good
I would love to do press on nails the only thing stopping me is feeling like i have no creativity like I would go to Pinterest and try to recreate the nails I like but then I feel what would make my press on nails different from any other and why they will buy mines:(
This is honestly so good advice! I'm thinking on starting an art doll store, and I can apply most of this to it, and I think maybe you can apply to other types of online stores too 💖
Thank you so muchhh because I really don’t wanna get my hopes up and make $0 in sales again I was thinking about definitely starting off in person just to get it going then eventually get online and start shipping
I know this is a little off-topic but think I would be better off doing Ready to ship, Pre-set, and maybe mystery sets of nails. Would that be a good idea?
I recently started my own press on nail business, and I've been using sizing kits as my way of sizing the nails . I've seen other methods for customers to size their nails, but as the person on that has to receive the sizes . I'm not sure how it works . For eg.Large, medium , and small . How does that ensure its fits correctly for making exactly 10 nails .I tried to explain this as much as i could .I hope this makes sense 😅🙏🙏.
they can measure the nails. For example index: 11mm thumb: 13mm middle: 12 mm pinky: 09mm ring: 10mm This can be classified as the basic S (small) and if their nail sizes fall in between those numbers they can file the cuticle area of the press on to adjust.
Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to make such valuable content. A question about driving sales through TikTok- I know that app is designed to keep people on it. Which would you recommend between TikTok and Instagram for driving traffic to your website?
what do you enjoy doing the most? Which sets exite you you to make like "ooh this set is going to be fun!". Thats your style, I'm finding that 3d, isolated chromes, cat eye and charms exite me the most.
Your videos are so helpful as im in the process of starting my website but I was wondering if you had any tips for setting up a Shopify website? I’ve been working on it for a few days now but its very overwhelming and confusing and i feel like I never make any progress because of it.
First and foremost thank you foryour honest guidance we appreciate your transparency and elegance in articulating ur pros and cons/ methods to the business side of this career. The support in this chat is amazing 😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶💗💗🤞🤞🎉🎉
