The first time I heard this song was from a local band in a local bar, came right out of good times bad times into this, blew my socks off, been an all time fav ever since, Thanks
Man all I can say is this is the best guitar channel, with such a variety of music. I have been following for a few years from SA and I have learned so much from you. Thanks James your a star. Have you heard of Edgar Broughton Band - Evening over roof tops?
Nice job there Dude........ I capitalized the “D”........ it’s nice watching other professionals do their thing.......... The Namm Show starts Thursday on the 16th of January in Anaheim California............ i’ll be playing (Second act outside) I’ll do a plug for you.......... anyway stay Frosty........
Harry the dirty dog brings me back to 1970 . Have to give you 👍👍👍. The Les Paul for a minute you were going to say it was a Frampton series. Still awesome as hell and great tune and playing. Should do some Frampton when you give a run down on it. Thanks ✌🏻
It's alot like the Frampton black beauty guitar, that went down in a cargo plane in South America, Columbia I think , but anyway it was actually returned to Frampton like 30 yrs later , a local by the crash site found the guitar intact, like no real damage, this man saw Frampton on television saying that was his favourite guitar , so the man contacted him and returned it, amazing story, it was on some 60 min episode or something, ...whats the odds , I mean it was a bad crash....thx for the cheap trick jam JJ
Such a fun song, James! Always liked it as a kid, being from California; so nice to hear it all these years later! Awesome performance, especially on that solo part! 👍👍 Bravo! \|/
Jay j...well it's the smoothness .....he just has this smooth way of play ... Been watching for years , if I have issues figuring something out do to lazyness ..which I'm not or whatever reason, click on the jimi jam , it's amazing his catalog, if he ever wanted to be a rockstar well maybe not being a teacher is a much better gig I bet, all on yours terms. Learned how to play doors tunes from him, and a lot more
I just got one of the new Gibson gold top Les Pauls with p90s. As much as I love it every way a Les Paul Custom three pickup is my absolute dream guitar. You’re going to have to do some Beggars era Stones with that beautiful thing.
J(J)ames. I have a Fender Telecaster HH special and a Supro 15 w tubeamp, no effects yet, very amateur guitarist. I have 10's on it. Would light strings be more beneficial to start on...and what effects box would you suggest with maybe a looper scooper.? Thanks for your expert advice. Oh..and very cool. Saw Cheap Trick long ago...wow crazy show. Yay!! 🎸🎶🎵👍
Quite liked that bit of Brontosaurus in there... What! You sold the sunburst? (I'm still regretting selling my Verithin and Selmer amp 40 odd years ago 🙁)
@@jamesjames9275 As of now Epiphone and Squier and is all I can afford. I had my Black Beauty wired so I can use all the pickups individually, but for some odd reason the middle pickup is always on subtly.

Cheap Trick is always refreshing.
I had a 1960 Les Paul just like yours. Had it about 30 years. Talk about sellers remorse
Lonesome Dave holy moly. What a loss
Kick Ass as usual. I used to rock out to that song on vinyl as a little guy! Smiling the whole time your were playing!

Your rock man!!
My left hand hurts just watching this
James, keep up the great work!
Deep cut from CT! Outstanding!
I hadn’t thought of this as a deep cut, but I guess it is.
Roy Wood knows how to write a song!
Thoroughly enjoyed this, such a fun song to play!

Sweet guitar, looking forward to hearing about it

I was actually deciding between this and a gold top with P-90’s. I went with this because I got an insane deal on it.
James James I think you made a wise choice. Three pickup customs are hard to come by for a reasonable price.
Nice Guitar

I'm due for a new Guitar and I'm choosing between a Rickenbacker 325 C64 or a Charvel Pearl White.
You scored!
That guitar omg
Looks awesome! Any plan on adding a Bigsby like Jimmy Page’s?
No way!
Happy NGD! 👍
Everything sounds good on a Les Paul!
Did you get rid of anything to get it? She's a beauty!
Sold the LP burst. No regrets!
James James 😎
Crisp like Kelloggs !
come back James
Where or how do you learn the songs? Tabs, ear, etc? Just curious. Appreciate the channel
I don't use tabs, I play by ear.
Where did you get that shirt?
Quite liked that bit of Brontosaurus in there...
What! You sold the sunburst?
(I'm still regretting selling my Verithin and Selmer amp 40 odd years ago 🙁)
I still have the Tokai, which I like a lot better than the Gibson.
Sounds weird to ask but I’ve been wondering for a couple of years now who’s that in your profile picture on RUclips?
Nigel Tufnel.
For some reason I was thinking it was you with seeing your face reveal on the old channel but pretty cool!!
Epiphone or actual LP Black Beauty?
Take that back, video wouldn't load up before I posted 😂
I don't look down on Epiphones, but I've never owned one.

Looks like the famed Frampton guitar that he lost, then recovered, years ago.
Steve Elling Clapton has one with cream, and Page more famously had one that was lost also
Wait, how many guitars do you own? Electric and acoustic? Lol
In my defense, whenever I buy one, I sell one. :)
James James aaah that makes. They are addicting as hell.
rick nielsen is a super special guitsrist and songwriter.
