This is great! These would be pretty much the choices I would have picked to showcase 5 plugins. Great video Alex, love your channel! I have yet to check out Stratus but Cargo Cult's Slapper for my outdoor verb is great! My favorite "abstract verb" has to be Soundtoys Little Plate or Valhalla VintageVerb (or any of their verbs for that matter) Pitch N' Time Pro would have been a great addition to this list, one of the best tools in the toolbox for a sound editor. soothe2 has been a new addition to my DX Chain and it can really do wonders with getting out resonances
Thumbs up for WNS. I have RX Advanced but still use WNS on every dialogue track... and it's been the same plugin for ages, it's super light (especially for a denoising plug) and if you don't have the resources to get a Cedar there's nothing like it in the same league. Super useful.
Yeah it maybe would be nice, but he is showing the best plugins he knows. Obviously there aren't going to be any comparable free VSTs. Maybe you can make a video of the 5 best free EQ, metering, reverb, panning and noise removing plugins, but of course they are going to be nothing like the best paid ones. They will all miss critical features or miss ease of use. Unfortenately audio tools are E X P E N S I V E :( Btw, number 5 apparently already is a cheaper version of a really expensive one. woah, it is only 45 dollars? That's really affordable, I might even pick that up!
Another great vid. Would love to see an in-depth video on convolution reverbs. I use the Premiere Pro plug-in which works well but can’t figure out where to find more reverb profiles to load in. I’ll definitely check out Stratus and Altiverb. Thanks
1. What’s specifically wrong with Presonus Studio One when it comes to editing sound for video? 2. When recording sound on set, how many inputs would one need for basic sets that require maybe a boom and two or three lavs? I’m trying to decide between a mix-pre 3 and 6. 3. Besides recording them, what else goes into SFX creation like whooshes, drones, and ambient tones? 4. What lav recorders do you recommend? Have you heard of Tentacle Sync Track E recorders? 5. I have a couple of XLR cables that make over-modulation noise in certain positions. Any solutions? 6. Why are short shotgun mics better for indoors? Senheiser 416 vs Rode NTG5?
Great video as always! I would love to see an in-depth video on Stratus - basic how-to
yes. i always go back to altiverb or paragon for outdoor stuff.

A similar video with comparable free VSTs would be nice.
Exactly

great video I'm gonna have to look into Cargo Cult's Spanner
It’s awesome, and the rest of their stuff is super useful too!

Do you have a view on how Cargo Cult Spanner compares to DearVR pro?
Do this plug ins can be use in Adobe Audition and FL Studio?
Stratus over symphony?
Does anybody know about Spanner vst alternative for Windows? Please

That would be Avid Pro Tools!
