Beautiful truck and that Detroit sounds wicked! Train horn is cool too, but you can't beat the classic sound of those 24" Grovers on the roof. Do they still work?
16IVS Thanks, the truck is so short it only has room for the P3 and bells are mounted in a non traditional manner due to space plus I have 4 other trucks and each one has a different type and model including a K3 and a K5HL. Thanks for watching
Ur welcome agn. To be more honest here, the Nathan P3a horn that I've mentioned is actually a shorter or smaller P3 horn in contrast to the P012, so it should be even better able to fit this truck (that is if ur open to the idea). Just my insights 1ce agn.
16IVS : This may sound strange, I've been a locomotive engineer for 16yrs now and I can't for the life of me acquire a set of locomotive whistles. Where are people getting their hands on these whistle sets?. Kind regards!. Eric Dee.
@@michaelsorrentino7409 I believe I would trust Detroit Diesel over wiki and also have you not stopped to consider the truck was built in December of 1973
Oh my god I love it, Sad that you don't see these cabovers any more, The best sounding trucks ever, in my opinion
Thanks, yea things are definitely different now
That is really cool looking cabover, man. Awesome footage too.

The Grover's still work but I need to put a pull cable on the valve, its not in a good spot to reach without a cable. Thanks for watching!
the frame is so short that i have no words, LMAO
Love it.
I’m guessing that’s how Optimus Prime would sound in Transformers: RoTB
with the frame that short, that could be your daily

Matt, if you still own this truck... how about another video?! 👍
Still got it, I will see what I can do, thanks for watching
Buzzin half dozen
Афффигенно!!!!!!
Why couldn't the air horn on this rig be no more than a New Cast P3a horn (NC P1,2,4a bells)? Or even just a Hornblasters imitation k3la horn?
16IVS not sure what your asking but its an old cast P 0,1,2. Thanks for watching
Ur welcome, it was just a friendly suggestion btw.

No 6v 92s in 73 by detroit.repowerd maybe??..more likely 318/871.
If you get on Detroit Diesel website and search the 92 series it will plainly says introduced in 1973, I have had this argument before
@@matthewjones8620 hi matt.wiki has written 1974.so how is correct here??
