Heres another great HOW TO video on a very beneficial mod for your 2010-2016 HYUNDAI ACENT. I purchased and Installed the ROSTRA Electronic Cruise Control Kit Part number 250-9628.

I just finished my install and it works fairly well. Sometimes it doesn't want to set the speed but if I hit resume and then hit set it works. I might email the manufacturer see what they say. BTW I used an open fuse port instead of cutting into that pink wire just so I wouldn't have any problems in the future with that wire. Thanks again buddy.

Hello sir. I was reading comments about this cruise control setup on Amazon. Comments were great except one. He said it only engages at 55 mph. He also added that if you engage the cruise below 55mph that it will speed up to 55 mph. Is this what you experienced? FYI amazing video. Very through and appreciated!

I recently bought a 2017 hyundai accent and that's when I saw your video. but what I did was buy the original steering wheel controls of another hyundai that does have cruise speed then I downloaded the electrical diagram of the car and I realized that the three cables that go from the computer to the steering wheel did not have them, I installed them and everything works perfectly. If you want you can write me so that with all the details you can do it to your car if you still have it or you can make a video so you can help more people. Thank you. Nice find. I have a 2013 accent crdi 4 speed automatic. Where did you find the electrical diagram? I already bought the US accent steering wheel cruise control buttons but I haven't installed it yet. You're help is greatly appreciated.

My question is what does the clutch harness tie into? My 2014 accent is a manual. I was hoping to see the clutch wired in or instructions on that part of the harness.

Hi, I installed the rostra CC in my car 5 months ago, everything went well.
But two months ago, I have had a problem with the rostra control 250-3742 (same as your video).
The problem is, that it can not light up easily, it lights up after many attempts (led flashes, and does not light up). You can help me. I would appreciate. Thank you very much
Hi man thanks for the video, Finally I found a solution for my car it is 2015 model. But I have couple of questions since you used it for a year now.
Have you had any troubles like buggings, not responding or any problems? And have traveled between cities or driving in highways by it?
is your engine 1.4 or 1.6?
Because honestly I am a little afraid because it is an aftermarket product.

my engine is the 1.4L ... and the cruise control works great to this day!, no issues at all. and my wife uses it for at least 80 miles Highway everyday going to and from work. So it works great 👍
This video was amazing. I have the 250-1862 for 2016 Kia Rio. I'm having the hardest time trying to figure it out and this helped me with some of it even if they are different. It's still a struggle for me but I'm on track a little more now.

after a brief look, yes this 250-9628 will work on your car but it says to check if you have other things too like manual transmission and/or mechanical throttle control, becasuse if. you do you may need more parts.... check out their website www.rostra.com/search.php

the Brand I have is Rostra.... you can find them on eBay , Amazon & straight from Rostra.com. Id recommend going to the Rostra website first to figure out what Part Number Kit goes for your vehicle.

Hey man I just bought a 2016 accent yesterday and Can't believe I didn't check to see if it had cruise control! How is your cruise control holding up? It looks like you made your video 6 months ago.
I did the exact same thing a few days ago, but mine is a 2017. I felt stupid right after I left the dealership.
The cruise control is working perfectly still!. in both this car and in my new 2017 Accent which I installed it on. Mine is a Manual transmission and works perfect!

hmm that is interesting.. I just got my 2017 accent and I had the pink wire...... not sure if it makes a difference but what trim level is yours? and what region are you located?

What could have disconnected or got loose, the control's green light turns on but the speed control doe not work anymore, it was working fine
Not sure.. but I would first check if the pink speed sensor wire came a-loose or if its not that check those 6 wire connections from the hand controls to the harness that goes to the control box.... if neither of those work, maybe try contacting Rostra for some troubleshooting tips, or maybe just replace the control box itself. I believe there's some type of warranty on these things but I don't know their terms and conditions.
I had a cruise control in 2004 accent, and now I have a 2015 accent with 6 spd manual transmission, but cannot find the installer who did my 2004, I had cruise control in my first Hyundai standard transmission away back in 1988,I watched the video, but feel there is something missing (the vacuum advanced chamber)
Really i found the specific piece cruise control for my chevy; do you think could i install the original piece, although my car does notcome whit this accesorie from concesionary?
not sure.. but there may be a way. I'd ironically say keep scanning RUclips see if anyone else has done your specific vehicle. Sorry im not much help on this question

Hey man, I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT, the red ignition wire you spliced to the pink is different in my car, and it doesn’t say in the instructions (same instructions as you) where to splice for my car. Any idea?
I don't know off the top of my head but check out www.rostra.com and search up your vehicle and it will have the kit information and some supplemental help too!

you'll have to read specifics on the Rostra website www.rostra.com/search.php But I think they make one for your vehicle because your IX35 should be similar if not identical to the Hyundai Tucson which uses the kit 250-9627. But definitely do research first.

just to share with you and anyone else..
I have a 2010 Optima (Diesel Manual 6 speed)
and installed it 5 years ago.
but... Instead of the green light - I added a LED to the gauge cluster and wired it there.
instead of the big ugly stock, I took apart the buttons and replace the inside of the original buttons for my model.
now, after 5 years of working fine, I got some problems, not sure where from, but I would make an investigation and edit my comment maybe in the future.
sometimes it don't set (coast), and sometimes after setting a cruise speed, and pressing RES, it would just cancel the cruise (but not turn off the module, the indicator is still ON on the gauge cluster).
What i've noticed is that the module is very sensitive to other consumer, one time I left the cruise ON without cruising, and when the music hit a loud bass - it suddenly on itself started cruising.
Install also steering wheel controls for your stereo bro

Sure does.... I never did a video but this exact kit worked on my 2017 manual Accent. there's just one extra wire that connects to the clutch wire. and it acts just like the brake one. When you press the clutch it disengages cruise control.
I bought an NCS kit, but I'm only getting the speedlimiter to work, all the other modes deactivate th+e instant I turn them on.

Watching a lot of these because my rostra cruise is stuck and won't disengage, so when I start my car it's instant 7000 rpms and no regard for button presses or brake and accelerator attempts to disengage. Literally had to turn my car off to slow down lmfao the cruise was professionally installed many years ago 🤷

Not really an issue, but when you click "Set" at the speed you want. Theres about a second delay before it takes over. So if I let off the gas right when I press the button the car slows down briefly then accelerates again to get back up to the selected speed.... The simple remedy to this is I just keep my foot steady on the throttle for a second after I press the "Set" button. 👍

I don't think this exact kit works for your car. But www.rostra.com has many more kits all you'll need to do is type in your year, make and model into their search bar and it will show you the kit you'll need

Let me know if anyone has installed a Rostra Cruise Control on a 2017 or 2018 Hyundai Elantra. Part No. is 250-1884. It looks moderately different and I have a few questions.
