LEGO Submarine Ride with Real Sea Animals | Better than Disneyland Finding Nemo Ride?

- Lego Deep Sea Adventure ride at Legoland California. "Come aboard a REAL submarine and submerge underwater with real sea creatures as you dive for treasure on an interactive treasure hunt." - legoland.com
You will see over 2000 live sea creatures like fishes, sharks and stingrays in this ride.
Wouldn't it be cool if there were live sea animals in Finding Nemo ride at Disneyland like this submarine ride at Legoland?
Ride filmed March 2024.
Disneyland’s submarine voyage definitely has more detailed sets and an overall better story and atmosphere I’d say. But I love that this is actually underwater with real aquatic life! Legoland really does well in the ecosystem of themed entertainment.
It does make me wish Disney had kept their submarine voyage themed after "20,000 Leagues" ... having the squid tentacles suddenly wrapped around the submarine was way cooler than the animated laser-projected Nemo characters.
I do wonder if a long time down the road, they considered building a version of it using an aquarium for their Disney Adventure Park. That seems like a logical extension of it. Maybe "real" divers than can be easily dry docked for maintenance and avoid using fixtures that can't be removed for cleaning. Between the tracks (that needed underwater maintenance) and the fixtures (that needed the same) they cost to maintain it was problematic, from the recent video by Bright Sun films (which interestingly the Algo sent me to this after that).
It's even better than Submarine Quest.
😂

Glad to see a fellow defunctland viewer here.

my compliments to the sub deisgner - they created an almost perfect echo chamber
Honestly, Disney and Legoland still need to step up their game to compete with SeaWorld's world famous Submarine Quest. 😎
Submarine Quest had *eeeeeeels.*
I thought you were serious and had to look that up... oh boy...
I’m way too claustrophobic for this ride. 🤣🤣🤣
Imagine being stuck in that tube with wailing kids-I'd be hitting the emergency button ASAP!
Crazy that this attraction is made entirely of Legos that's actually really impressive
The OG Submarine Voyage at Disneyland is better than Nemo. This Lego submarine ride is great too.
Wow this one has actual fish!
thank you for being such an important part of my learning journey! ️
The sea animals are so pretty🐙🦑🦐🦞🦀🐡🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🦈!
The small sharks 🥰
If we had this in seaworld orlando it would be a hit, but all they want is rollercoasters now
i agree
last time seaworld made a submarine-themed attraction, it was a complete disaster.
@@hsc894yeah the submarine quest ride. It was just a moving train traveling outside the open with cheap mobile phone app attachs to it.
Zeer leuk atractie voor de familie!!!
Great ride for people who are afraid of the water or cannot swim. Fantastic ride Thank You for sharing.
Truly better than finding nemo submarine ride with underwater scenery, I enjoyed it!
Één fantastische en geweldige ervaring moet dat zijn de zee dieren!!
Fish: Aaaaah, what a lovely day to go for a swi- WTF IS THAT?!
(audience laughs)
I don't know, but it sure looks hungry.
I mean like... they have to swim everyday right?
@@Yekky72637 yup
Disney is great and should have a Real Submarine ride ETC !
Can we have a high budget Aquarium and theme park hybrid that is made by Disney or Universal that have this type of ride but it’s more realistic?
This would be good at chessington world of adventures
I remembered this ride for my birthday
There HAS BEEN a concept for a real diving submarines atttaction with Legoland. The technology does exist. That's not the problem. However, they came up with THIS. The biggest flaw in make believe and theming, is that everybody (if not blind) is clearly seeing that this is a hanging monorail system. It is destroying the guests experience of "diving'. That was and is NOT the case with Disney.
I would say "not comparable". Disneyland's Finding Nemo attraction was created with a storytelling focus, taking guests into the world of the Finding Nemo film and not so much a real life aquarium thing. This is its own thing. If the Imagineers were tasked to create the attraction with real marine life, they would've totally delivered something similar (if not better) than this.
Hallo nace, met de duik boten!!!
We love this ride!!!! It was closed the last time we went. But that was awhile hahaha We planning on getting passes again this year!
I still don't understand why they don't even try to hide the surface. It was especially noticeable on that one when you can look out the front and back and see the "subs" in front and behind.. sticking out of the water.
I think I even noticed it as a kid.. it seems like they could cover it with black balls, like Cameron did for The Abyss. They should at least put black fabric just below the surface.. it would sure enhance the effect!
I'm sorry, how have I JUST learned of this!?! Actual sharks on a submersable ride sustem 🤯
Kind of a bold statement but the aquarium aspect is pretty cool.
Yes, traveling inside a 'real' aquarium is better than inside a 'fake'...
If Disneyland could pull this off, it would be an extraordinary experience...
>>> But they can't ---the amount of water in the Disneyland ride makes this one look like a bucket-of-water. To change the Disney ride into a 'living' aquarium AND KEEP IT THAT WAY would require an absurd budget that could never be sustained
That is a great ride! Really cute! :)
Well done...a great concept that works
Logo underwater and finding nemo at Disneyland are both better
Ummmm, that’s dope! Who gave Legoland permission to make such a cool ride?!?
It all started when a man fell into the river in Lego City...
We have one of these in Legoland Windsor uk 🤗 now under construction for the rest of this year
I went on it just befroe christmas, was really good.
This might tempt me to go. Do you know how wheelchair accessible it is by any chance?
@@graceical2822 If you watch the video there is steps into the submarines, I dunno if they have an accessible option.
@@graceical2822 they normally do, however this ride will be closed for the rest of 2024 season 😥 they are having big maintenance.
Looks like a nice place to re home my Clown Trigger.
Yes it is
I love how people think Lego is supposed to be realistic 😂
Submarines don't hang from a ceiling. So, no, not better than Disneyland.
Lego park of zo iets, ben daar nog nooit geweest ze hé!!!
Still safer than Oceangate

Better? We’d be the first in line to bid Nemo farewell at Disneyland but this was NOT better LOL
However, it’s quite a cool concept. It’s a shame there were no moving parts or really any impressive show lighting. The live fish make it a really cool experience, especially for kids. This was equivalent to those conveyance paths one can ride through a glass tube set inside a large aquarium (always exciting).
It’s a cool way to get us closer to the world of the ocean.
Keep the videos coming as they’re always great quality 😊
I want to go on the Submarine ride
WOW, this is so much better than Disney and I never say that lol. Purely for the vehicle model alone- it’s WAY less claustrophobic. Roomy, not fully under water, no steep stairs, less people per vehicle… Disney should take notes and do a full revamp because Nemo is typically at the bottom of everyone’s list these days. The fact that it’s a living aquarium as well is super cool!
Nah. They're gonna get rid of that ride instead of revamp it. As much as this ride is better, its still a boring type of ride in general. No repeatability.
@@gissnericI mean, I agree with you entirely. Just wish they had done something like this to begin with when it redid it to Nemo. 80% of Tomorrowland needs a major overhaul… it’s been ignored for wayyy too long.
It's a "better" submarine attraction because it's not a submarine AT ALL?? That makes absolutely NO sense. And I was just at Disneyland last month and Nemo had a 30 minute wait, which was on par with the waits for most of the rides that day.
@@ghosty4 You okay? It’s my opinion lol. Yes- I prefer this ride vehicle to the Disney one, for the reasons I listed. Yes, the wait is always long as hell, which doesn’t mean anything because all lines are just as long especially with the implementation of Genie+.
But, if you spend any time in various Disney forums, Finding Nemo will be brought up as a least favorite quite often. I will not be surprised if it gets scrapped for its space eventually. Which is SAD, the lagoon itself is so beautiful and classic.
Nice
Wish the finding meno had real fish in the pool
At epcot in disneyworld, they have a ride in the aquarium tho it's not a sub
Worst ride to be stuck on during a zombie apocalypse.
Oh they changed it? When I went as a kid it was Lego Atlantis
Went 2 weeks ago, Despite seeing RV style ACs on top, they either were not working, or they didn’t turn them on because you can smell the stale air/breath of the last riders when they open the sub. Add a 80 degree sub it was disgusting

Did not expect the New Orleans accent.
Sadly ours at Windsor has closed this year
Imagine if it was full of children that loud in a tight area light that... the one child was bad enough...
Question - what happens during an earthquake and the ride vehicle falls off the track???
Earthquakes in the UK????
@@The_Original_KL This Legoland is in California - plenty of fault lines.
I stand corrected, thought it was Windsor I skipped the first few seconds also didn't know there was a Legoland in California. 🤣🤣🤣
👍
I hate that Disney has the nerve to stay complacent in the lagoon for the nemo riding 🐠 and then hideous, bogus, unnatural coral
Real fish and sharks but no fantasy or adventure!
I wonder what the fish think 😂
this is... original
But, is there a Lego(tm) Frog?
You go in the cage
the cage goes in the water
the shark is in the water

🎵 Farewell unto you, you fine Spanish Ladies.
Great footage. I went on this last year when I heard about it even existing. It's a great little ride ( Just an oval shaped track for those of you watching who don't know ) but shows a lot for it's simplicity. The best part is, Cedar Fair who owns Sea World dropped the ball in a huge way when they flubbed their "submarine ride" a few years ago. Meanwhile a mere plastic brick park comes along and shows everyone how it's done. Don't get me wrong, I love Sea World too but not since it was obtained by Cedar Fair. Legoland's got this one nailed.
Cedar Fair does not own SeaWorld.
@@gaptoothed Thank you. Correction, owned by the Blackstone Group, a multinational asset management company. Now that I've read up on them, I think I found an owner that's even less desirable than Cedar Fair. I know too many people that work at the local San Diego park and have heard their stories ( and witnessed firsthand ) how terribly prepared they are. I've been shown open doors at the back of gift shops that lead to money drops. Any park guest can open this door if they know what they're looking for. The prevailing attitude is that upper management just doesn't care. Now that I know it's Blackstone, it's starting to make more sense.
Nothing can beat Nemo
Pretty much *everything* beats Nemo.
I forget Atlantis!?!
Do you really have to put and compare Disneyland though? Cant Legoland have their own credit. Disney is not always the standard.
It's simply being compared to another ride that also is a ride, I honestly can't think of any well know park that has a submarine ride so why not compare it to the Disney's ride?
Better than finding nemo 100%
So much noise, you can't hear any information
this is a another stark reminder of how Disney imagineering is failing, this is amazing
Nope. I’m too claustrophobic for that mess.
way better.
Nope! Apples vs. Oranges. Completely different ride experience.
Why can Disney do that?
lego
But its different.
Saya lihat lihat sumua diteL agak asli ternyata tidak asli ditelnta
Oh and any ride is better than Disneyland's submarine ride... the walk to the toilet is better than the submarine ride.
Um, YES!
🕌🌃
It's basically a glass bottom boat on a track. Id rather go to Catalina Island, CA and enjoy a real one. You would see more fish, plus enjoy the islands natural beauty.

The Deep Sea Adventure Legoland California ride is better then Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland
Bad words.

Zero people subbed to me 😡🤬
Good no need to
Yea Nemo Disneyland should drop the long claustrophobic subs and add this ride system. They will save on labor too not having to staff drivers.
