After watching this channel for like 4+ years I completely agree with this premise. It’s all about smooth relaxed acceleration for the first 100m under 11.5s. Then maintenance of 95-100% speed while being completely relaxed under 10.00s for the second 100m. Thus running the first 200m in 21.5s or faster but without expending too much energy. This allows the athlete to run a more even split race which is the most consistent, sustainable and repeatable race plan for breaking 44s
As athletes approach perfection, they develop greater symmetry and balance in all aspects of their performance, which is essential for continual improvement. There is no doubt that, in the future, someone will run 400 meters in 42.0 seconds, and it will be a very even race, something like 21.3 + 20,7. Thank you for sticking with the channel; It's greatly appreciated.
@@TheWayToWin this is fascinating because the top runners seem to run a sub 21 first 200m which makes it awfully hard run a faster second 200m. Are they too focused on dominating and messing up other athletes’ plans?
What should I do for like example I run the first 200m in 26s and second 200m I run 28 or 30s and I getting slow in the second curve got any tips for maintaining my speed till the last 50m

@@TheWayToWin do you always expect a 400m runner to run a faster first 200? compared to the last 200m?
in a perfect race, second half is always faster

He’s definitely hard to beat. Wayde will probably have to run 43 mid to win gold
With his height, stride, strength and smoothness, Steven probably would've excelled at the 800m, too. Y'all know who I'm thinking of ...
Thanks for this. 🎉
Thanks for watching
"Seemingly effortless" still uses up a lot of energy to run that fast.
Yes a better description is efficient running 🏃♂️
