I do EDC this knife with a tanto style blade. I never use it as a money clip but it clips perfectly in the watch pocket on a pair of jeans. It's an awesome and discrete back up.
I use mine as a money clip i dont put any cards in it but for me it was a gateway to otf knives from that i went to the ultratech then last week i got the combat troodon hellhound and yesterday i ordered the heretic hydra so i thinks its a good first otf great video as always
Yeah dude. Heratic knives are great. You have 2 try a guardian tactical next. Recon35 is the one I have. It's so smooth. I love my ultratech, but the recon35 is smoother.
@@THExDUDEx8624 i was looking at the guardian tactical 45 i think it was the larger one i hear theres ball bearings in the switch making it easier to open the combat troodon is way to hard to close but ill definitely try one thank you bro
You still have this in your edc rotation? I just ordered it really as an off hand secondary defense weapon to my ccw gun. Plus it matches my odg Glock 26 and 19.
If you keep it in your pocket it will absolutely jam. I love mine to death but it's been genuinely unreliable. I've just purchased the tool with the triangle bit to open it up and see what's what, hopefully all goes well. I want to work on it to make it reliably consistent, but up to this point its been foiled by pocket lint and the least amount of dust it will ever see (CA winter flood season, no dust). I really want it to be an EDC but so far it doesn't cut the mustard. Edit: purchased from BladeHQ, not a knock off.
Never saddle a tool like a knife with obstructions. I carry my microtechs where I can quickly get to them, and my money/cards in a different pocket. If you have crap on your knife,it can slip in your hand and the microtech blade will show your hand zero mercy.
Currently use one now. So I would but only because I got it for 210.00 over 250.00 kinda in the hmm range. At the launch it was over three hundred for that price no.
As someone in california i wouldnt use it as a wallet but compared to other ca legal otf options this has got to be the biggest blade for what it is. So its a goid SD options
i live in italy, OTFs and Autos and dagger edged knives are totally illegal. they were threaded same as firearms. i think for me this is one one the only options to go out the house with the plesuere having a OTF in my pocket. and uesd as a moneyclip even in a police search noone will notice this as a knife in general......
Sadly ironic switchblades are illegal in Italy. My grandad brought back a handmade Italian automatic / switchblade stiletto from WW2. As a kid, it was one of the coolest things ever. Actually it still is, altho my little brother got it in grandad's will..... it's ok tho, I got the 1934 Beretta. They make a badass pair.
Well, mine didn’t even make it to the torture test. It’s having issues retracting and it’s fresh out of the box. Actuating switch doesn’t feel right either. Disappointed.
Not California legal.. it's still considered a "dagger" due to the double edge grind, however the later released tanto version is 100% California legal. A police officer could legally ticket you & confiscate it (this version). The majority of states don't allow dagger / double edges & dirk styles whatsoever. Technically it shouldn't be an issue if you stay clear of bad boy police savvy activities. I wouldn't personally use this as a wallet / money clip. I think it's best suited as a secondary / backup or for loose fitted clothing like PJs or gym shorts. Around the house / neighborhood walk to the mail box.
this is incorrect. the double-edge grind has nothing to do with california's legal definition of a dagger. PC § 16470: "As used in this part, 'dirk' or 'dagger' means a knife or other instrument with or without a handguard that is capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon that may inflict great bodily injury or death. A nonlocking folding knife, a folding knife that is not prohibited by Section 21510, or a pocketknife is capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon that may inflict great bodily injury or death only if the blade of the knife is exposed and locked into position." this is a switchblade (also defined under PC § 17235), not a dagger. and california allows all switchblades under two inches to be carried.
I think it's silly honestly. Like many combo items, it's a crap wallet and a crap stubby knife. It's jewelry more then anything imo. Really get a good wallet and a good knife and you'll be sooo much better off. I have an Anzo card holder that is a champ, it cost the same and spares the pathetic knife lol. Just my opinion
I live in France and here we can sell or buy OTFs. On the other hand, it is forbidden to wear it with you outside.I have several OTFs including Microtechs and I must admit that the exocet is among my favorites. It is easily concealable and is very useful for serving in everyday tasks. I have a combat troodon but as EDC I prefer to use the exocet

I have the tanto version. Carry it always. I do use cash most of the time so mine does carry cash only. And I carry a small wallet. Worth it for me.
Great review!

I have the Exocet Sandtrooper with a plain edge and a serrated edge. I found it very useful in that configuration.

We need a phone case that is an otf right ?
I use it as a key fob
As a last ditch self-defense tool, the d/e version just makes more sense.

Nice Little Review. Abiture question, what wristband is that on your Apple Watch ? thanks for the answer.
I picked it up off Amazon. It's for the latest gen Apple watch.

Carry one as a school teacher. Nobody knows.
if i were you, i wouldn't carry any sort of knife at a school. even if it is considered a tool.
if it is a college campus your probably fine though

7 minute wallet review, 1 minute knife review
Ha ha my exact thoughts. This could have been streamlined to 1 minute and 30 seconds
Microtech LOL discovering ways for people to steal 300 bucks from you when they hold you up at gunpoint and you have no cash! Well done
Just... no. I think every knife maker has to produce a pet project that just doesn't make sense. This is Microtech's.
It's not complicated, it's a knife so it is EDC useful.

This is the only otf I can legally own.
