One of the most brilliant and inspirational musicals regarding our beloved country .... ever made. All Americans should reflect on its meaning and message.
@cyberlarry7 I was at the play. Ben Franklin was played by Pat Hingle. Brent Spiner really surprised everyone who didn't know he could sing. There were a LOT of Trek fans in the audience who came just to see him. It was a wonderful show. Too bad it was only a limited run.
Dude! I had no idea he could sing like this! Damn, "Data" has an awesome voice! :-D I can TOTALLY envision Brent S. as "John Adams," though. His acting skills are through the roof!
"The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. [...] as the Day of Deliverance [...] It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations [...] forever more. [...] Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. [...]" John Adams July 3, 1776 (RUclips won't allow the full quote, but the lyrics are taken directly from this letter to Abigail.)
Do you know if there's anything better than that? Like... a quadruple threat? (lol) Coz He (like myself) can sing, dance, act AND play musical instruments. He's just awesome. He can paint, too, if i can recall. :D
Brent has always had a beautiful voice. :)

He's a Triple Threat; he can sing, act, and dance.
Yes! Mr. Spiner as Mr. Adams!
*falls on the floor and surrenders* Now, I knew he could sing, but this is INCREDIBLE.

Yeah, not gonna lie--Spiner's got some serious pipes going. I'm diggin'.
He was also in "Sunday In The Park With George" where he sang in the second act
+Edmund Vitale Actually he was in both acts. He plays Franz, the coachman in the first and second act, and he plays Dennis the technician.
I wish there was video

John Adams is fully functional.

I just keep picturing Data singing this...
I wish there was a video also. I ordeded the the cast recording. But I haven't gotten it yet.
Where can I get the full filmed version of Brent's performance? The library has the musical, but that's not his.

Where did you get this Audio track ? I would be more than intersted to hear more ! Jeeee ... I would have loved to see this musical live on stage !!
Por Jhon Adams 😢😢
@druidkat7 Oh God, what a fan are you that you don't know he's a dreamy singer? Never heard about Dreamland?:-)
@rwexelblat Mee too... But I'm afraid it doesn't exist.
@theatergrl28 I know what you're talking about.
@SulliMike241 nobody. :D
Who says Brent Spiner can't sing?
He can sing very well. I have the 1972 movie version of 1776 on Blu-ray, where William Daniels (KITT's voice) sings the same song.
Not as good as the original...he was a little too intense.
