- Brandin Podziemski is one of my favorite players to watch in the league this year... yet he's a 20 yeear old averaging just about 10 points/game at the time of this video. Why? He plays the right way, he works his way up the ladder game by game, and he truly controls the controllables. It's crazy fun to watch, study, and learn from!

I'm glad this man isn't going unnoticed
I love his hustle. I was impressed by the amount of steals and offensive rebounds he was getting against Denver on Christmas Day
Fax
A hustle that you can't teach to a players 💪. Podz is a big steal in the draft.
Crazy as an Illinois fan seeing this man get no minutes now a rook in the nba. Crazy how one year can change your life
He had the work ethic, and took advantage of the opportunity.
That really overlooks Santa Clara, and the year he had there. Also, at Illinois he just did not start... he did play.
Absolutely love this guy's motor. I remember seeing him play against the Blazers and he led the team in offensive rebounds and had a really efficient scoring night. He plays exactly the way you want a guy to play if they say they want more minutes.
his motor is absolutely ridiculous. once he can reign that in and give the team much more poised controlled minutes he will get even better
He’s all solid pluses, zero minuses. How often do you get that from a rookie? He already plays with more poise than half the vets in the team.
His Iq is exceptional hopefully overall development let's him express it more and he keeps his ego down. No more Jordan Pooles and Patrick McCaws
This video break down, added edits, and narration was top tier. Well put together 👏🏼
Great video, kid has a bright future in the league! Hopefully GS can bring in more guys like this over the years and keep their winning culture alive.
I stayed patient, knew I was just in love with the game even though my game and the politics were agaisnr me at first. I kept working and played literally 4-6 hours a day as much as was possible. Played Vs older comp often at the beach. Played Vs older comp during after school pick up as a freshman. Yada yada. Slowly got a lot better at doing whatever I wanted to do. Eventually saw those above me fall behind me slowly. Long term ended up fighting for the starting PG role junior year, making some nice highlights, had 14 assists in one half of a winter scrimmage Vs Canada team, but coach couldn’t trust me as the season grind got going so ended up back on the bench mostly. Senior year I was the starting PG. Finally. It was like a dream. I was ending up in the paper. I tied the school record for assists with 16, and broke it about two weeks later with 18 vs our school Rival Oyster River. My teammates showed me this website that talked about the best teams and players across the county, and we had made the blurb for our state in D2 and they mentioned how I was the heart and engine of the team and about my record setting game. Man it was like a dream. I was literally living my dream. I was doing the things that I used to be pretend I did during my 4-6 hours of play when I was 11-13. Heck I had surpassed my own expectations of what I would be able to do. Starting varsity was like a pipe dream, let alone setting school records???
Entering the last 5 games of the season, my coach moves me to the bench, we play without a point guard, because he just wants to go “bigger”.
He leaves in the off guard/3 who literally doesn’t really even love bball and is a family friend of his who shovels coaches driveway and has Christmas dinner with him. This is the same coach who made me promise afrer promise but no matter what I was able to actually achieve on the court, he was never able to accept my game since it wasn’t what he liked. He was an old white man who always focused on the 80s lakers. I was a record setting sprinter who played like I was a mix between a QB and Allen Iverson. Fans adored my game. I used to have little kids come say I was their favorite player. When we faced off in the playoffs Vs the team who I broke the record against and I had been moved to the bench role, when I finally checked in at the scorers table the opposing coach caught my attention and asked “what did you do????” Incredulously. He couldn’t fathom why the player his team had zero ability to stop from warping the entire defnese was sitting out most of the first half. This made me cry later on when the game was over. During my career I had numerous OPPOSING coaches and players give me the kinda props that just feel kinda cathartic. They appreciated my game so much instead of being mad, they tipped their hats to me. Yet my own coaches never gave me the slightest praise. Yes they might have let me start and play the whole game for a time, but never really validated me the way they did their personal favorites. One time with 5 seconds left I dribbled the length of the court and drew the D and dropped off a dish for a layup at the buzzer for the win. Next practice coach literally gave the credit to my teammate saying “Bret can’t save us by driving the length of the court every game guys!”
WHAT.
I could go on and on. I could tell the story about junior year UMASS college camp where coach stuck me on the varsity B squad as an incoming junior despite promising me a shot to start A, and I ended up dishing 20 assists and knocking our own schools A team out in the first round of the camp playoffs at the end of camp. Coach never once mentioned this. I literally destroyed the entire team. Our teams leading scoring senior that year, Matt, was in awe of my game. After that B Vs A win he was just laughing saying “Schuyler just owned all of us.”
I know I sound, idk, arrogant, and so on, you name it. But that was never how I WANTED to be. But I say ALL of this because of this videos advice to just let go of the politics and stop coach blaming. And I honestly did that for years. And I proved myself. I surpassed everyone! I surpassed my own goals! I actually got invited to be a practice player for the UNH men’s D 1 team in college! But still, I don’t think I’ll ever get over the unfair treatment I dealt with from these coaches. It was bullshit. It’s disgusting. And I honestly want to get involved in player support one day so I can confront other coaches who do this. I eventually went on to, a couple years after HS graduation, getting addicted to opiates. It was directly related to how I was treated by these coaches. When you are on one hand getting the craziest valdisifpn ever from rabdom people on the outside, but your own people on the inside disrespect you over and over? I honestly can’t really feel the pain anymore because I think I’m still working on un-numbing myself.
I know a LOT of kids who have little ability even by themselves on a hoop complain about not playing and politics. Their parents don’t care if their kids are good, they think they just DESERVE playing time. That was not the case with me and I really feel like it’s not the case wirh every single player either.
I understand why this content creator said what he said. He doesn’t have the time in this video to be inclusive to all situations. On AVERAGE, you are better off just letting go of caring about politics or not and just grind. But sometimes, at least for me? I wish my parents and ME were more willing to confront these assholes. I wish I had actually considered transferring to the schools where these other admiring coaches were at. And this brings me to :
Guess what? Brandon Pods? As much as he put his head down and worked hard, guess what else he did? He transferred out of a college with a coach that wasn’t giving him a shot and went somewhere where he would actually be valuables for what he could do, and no politics got in the way. So I appriwcste by Any means comment, but he’s sort of off at the end of this video. You have to know when to just shut up and work. But you also need to know when you have proven to yourself how good you are, and no one around you admits it, it’s time to go somewhere else. My biggest regret is that I didn’t try to transfer to my schools rival and beat their asses. The irony is my mom is friends with teachers at that rival school and they are well known for being more open minded and balanced, while my HS is well known for being littered with biggots and right wing voting almost entirely. Simply put: I do not give off energy that meshes well with that lol.
Thank you for the video and how you are helping hoopers around the world!!
Appreciate the love!! Always ❤️
Having a very good Floater game is so underrated. Makes quick small guards so much more dangerous.
Beautiful break down! Great example for the young hoopers
Thanks my man!
That's dope. Giving props to him by making a video about his skills. Sickk
dude your channel is amazing! I hope you never stop making them lol and I'm wayyy past my hoopin days but I stll love to nerd out on it
Seeing him live the intensity as well as his impact is definitely there
So proud of this young man
All I can say is, glad you're still with Us. I would have enjoyed your playing skills. I To loved playing ball Thanks for sharing
Love to see it man.
Great vid🔥. Learned from this
Gotta love his hustle
Most impressive to me (besides the rebounding) his how left-dominant he is without it seemingly limiting his effectiveness.
He left handed his dominant hand
The best team to watch. They are all great.
POLISH THUNDER🌩️🌩️🌩️
Start here: maintain athletic ability from youth to adult body size, then be 6'4", next be the best HS player in your State, follow that up by attending university out-of-State on scholarship before transferring to the one you really want to go to b/c it has links to a popular NBA player (increasing your chances to be drafted), get Co-MVP in the league w/ the star of that year's NCAA tourny favorite, and finally get drafted by the most dominant team of the last decade that has support to train you, a top-tier coach, and 4 All-Stars to alleviate any pressure to perform immediately.
Podz has a BULLDOG in his chest!!! ❤️ A HUSTLE THAT YOU CAN'T TEACH TO A PLAYER 💪
It is kind of amazing that he just showed up and starts. At 20!
Can you make a Trae Young floater workout by any chance? I know you already have one but its kind of hard to do if you don't have anyone to do it with.
Word !! He’s 🧨
Thanks coach, the book is fire by the way.
a derrick white breakdown would be really nice
he plays the game the right way love bros game fr
He’s under a great coach and ex player in Kerr….a true prospect for the future
Body control is probably his best attribute
Happy new year family! What are you guys' goals goig into the year? On AND off the court...
Get better at ball handling and defense. Then off the court I want to build strength and a crazy vertical 🔥
Dunk at 34
Warriors fan and i love him, we are kind of ass but once we figure stuff out we will be a great team. Brandins game is so niceee
That's what basketball is. Less dribble, IQ, simple but effective.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I called it during pre-season i said i like this kid i hope they keep him... then they wasnt playing him at first and i was like play him play him! Lol finally they did and the rest is history my second fav player now on g.s.w curry #1

🔥 content
Can I do game like actions if I’m training by myself as the drills while going full speed or game speed bc idk how to pick the drills for my workouts and I just overcomplicate it
Can you do a player break down on Kylan Boswell from Arizona
Hey coach, this might sound ridiculous but what if there are no pickup games, like ever? I live in a small town with only one consistent workout partner. What should I do?
Can you do a Ray Allen attention to detail?
Super fast, left handed, curly hair - now I found my son copy and player model! Thanks
He's like Goran Dragic ngl💯🐉
His left layups has a ginobili feeling to it
This dude is pretty good, not to mention he is left handend, which makes him more dangerous.
I watched a Santa Clara game last year and I was like whoa . Suprised his collectible cards don’t sell for more, It takes time.
This is what young guys who are planning to play professional basketball needs to hear and see. Not everyone can be like Kobe, Steph, MJ, etc. So the next best thing is to have a high IQ and know what u can and can't do. U don't need to be a great scorer, u need to first learn how to play winning basketball, defense = winning basketball imo. Every team will likely already have their no 1 - 3 option in terms of scoring, but defense is where its okay to have an abundance of.
im a 9th garder on varsity, im a SF can u do some workouts for my postion i want to help my team more offensively.
watch kawhi highlight and try to copy his move everyday
and train your muscle
this guy reminds me of dragics.
pointGODziemski
The basketball world is gonna learn to respect any prospect who’s coached by Herb Sendek.
Check the resume, lol.
The man put Harden, Jalen Williams, and Podz in the league…and he’s got one out in Santa Clara right now who’s gonna be very good as well.
He looks like a RUclips that made it to the nba.
You can tell he looks up to kyrie
“How to come out of nowhere” PAUUUUUUSEEE AYYYEOOO
If you think if it that way I guess… 😂🤦♂️
Bruh that was just a normal sentence. Ur hella sus to be thinking like that
Pods always look like he got beat up... LoL
Bp rising superstar just like jk, moody, tjd , kerr should give them more mpg every game.
I find his patience and decision making ability even better than curry. He knows what hes doing every play i can see that
2020 draft so weak. Now it's has shown huge potential. But the most hyped drafts don't live up to expectation.
Damn
He look likes DELONTE WEST
Let's go for kyrie Irving video
I’ve made like 5 hahaha
😮💨
Trade Klay and let this man be the full time starting 2 guard
this guy called me a pussy on 2k, i said he wouldn't be anything after that but i guess he proved me wrong
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Title is sus 😂
How?
He’s more mentally there than moody and kuminga
Kerr: “You gotta show your humility amongst the veterans… otherwise Draymond will punch you in the face and we’ll trade you next year.”
Kerr: “Even if I tell you to stand up for yourself and instigate the situation. Make sure you stay on my good side or no matter how well you play or how much the team needs your young energy, if I end up not liking you, you’ll be sitting on the bench next to JK while we let the veterans ruin another season with flagrant fouls, terrible shots, suspensions and of course over pay them for their efforts no matter how old or slow they get.”
1st team all rookie?
Is he cocky like Jordan Poole cocky? or like a humble kind of cocky?
I see Manu Ginobili
I just hope he wont be like JP. He got good prospects, hope he can really make it in nba
He's better than Jordan Poole
All young hoopers care about are the highlights...
I still prefer DiVincenzo more
Steve loves cocky players. So now Poole is out of his team.
There's a fine line between the right kind of cocky and the wrong kind of cocky though if you know what I mean.
@@lawbinson oh yeah definitely. JP morphed from being cocky into being a clown.
By Any Means, should I do steroids?
Just don't be the next Jordan Poole
Nowhere near it… completely different player
Don’t be cocky, but have confidence in the Lord. read 1 Corinthians 10:31
Keep away draymond from him....
