    I liked that parallel between the way Mae and Osha woke up as well because it can be read as their actual situations psychologically. Osha is actively exploring and learning about herself and facing her truths in a sort of playpen while Mae might be trapped by what she thinks happened in the past and the pain in literal restraints. The way they reflect each other is well done so far. They both experienced the loss of their family and coven, and they had two different people address and use their pain to mold them.

    I immediately thought good sis with the whip-saber was sus as soon as she insisted on going. It felt like she needed to put herself in the position to control the narrative if needed.

    Sidenote: Star Wars been eating it up with these planet settings. These places look so gorgeous to me.

    I think Sol did something that he doesn't want to get out to the Jedi Council either on Brendok or somewhere else because it went against the code, and Venestra (Jedi Gamora) is close enough to Sol that she knows about it but not the details. I also think Sol knows some stuff about Venestra as well. They probably both witnessed the negative effects of the Jedi practice of recruiting children and how that can go bad. Qimir was probably a padawan that "fell" from the Order after witnessing either Sol or Venestra do something terrible.

    I know the glove scene you're talking about with Luke and it's when he sees Vader is part machine so Luke looks at his hand that was replaced

      Yup that’s the one. As a kid it ruined me. I didn’t wear gloves much.

    Anakin can still be his special snowflake baby birth even if Osha and Mae were born different. In their case it was more like a planned special birth. Anakin can be magic surprise baby all he wants

    Re: Jedi Chastity. Most of them avoid sex because it leads to emotional attachments. There's some Jedi that have casual sex without attachments and other Jedi that have government mandates to go home and breed because their species has such a low birth rate it's all hands on deck. In the High Republic they also talk about how the teenage padawans get up to all sorts of things at the temple and nobody cares as long as they grow up and move on when they're knighted. Sex isn't the problem, it's the emotional baggage.

      Thanks lol! I love that the Jedi can just tell someone "Sorry you know how it is... Jedi..." and just dip.

    I don't think Seoul is a secret Sith, he's just moving like a typical Jedi cop. Maybe some of those people who tried to capture Mae were on some flirting with the dark side Dumbledore/Grindewild flex on Brendan Fraser planet, tho.

    I've given up serious predictions so now I'm going to say that isn't a lightsaber scar but Qimir was a twin and his twin was ripped from his back

    Counter point for dark gloves meaning the character is evil: Luke wore black leather gloves in Return of the Jedi after getting his prosthetic hand in Empire. He never approached being evil, just tapped into the his aggressive energy (a la Windu) to beat Vader. Must be some new Disney cliché if there's multiple recent characters where this fits.

      @djbenhameen 2 месяца назад +1

      Counter counter didn’t he force choke someone? And the emperor wasn’t cackling with glee because he was aggressive. It’s not Disney the whole movie was Luke resisting the call of the dark side. By those films being aggressive is the dark side. That windu stuff isn’t even in a movie at all. He had purple because he thought it looked cool. 🙏🏾

      @djbenhameen If I remember correctly, Luke did force choke two Gamorrean guards on his way into Jabba's palace, yes, but the only true aggression he tapped into was in response to Vader's comments on Leia. That was his only real flirtation with the dark side. Force choke is just simple telekinesis, and you could argue that his use of it was fundamentally different than every time we saw it with Vader.
      As for Windu, I'm not talking about the color of his lightsaber. I know all about Samuel Jackson's demands on the production. He even had BAMF engraved into the pommel of the lightsaber lol I'm talking about his fighting style, which is more explained in various books and novelizations. Windu taps directly into the dark side to draw power from those he's fighting. It's the main reason he was able to beat Darth Sidious. He was a Jedi Master who used the Sith's main weapon against them, but in doing so he risked losing himself to the dark side.
      Other counter point: Han Solo wore gloves quite a bit during the OT, as did Lando Calrissian, and neither of those characters were evil. Selfish and self-serving, maybe, but not evil. Every soldier on Hoth wore gloves. Emperor Palpatine never wore gloves during the OT. I'm only pointing out the inconsistency, hence wondering if what is being noticed is some recent Edgy McEdgelord cliché lol

      @@Skaldzerker not really man. It’s mainly jokes on here with some logic. We are not “well actually” people over here and Luke’s whole battle in that movie is over good and evil. Thanks for listening.

    And I went back and pulled the receipts on Sol's gloves. He had them all the way back in the flashback episode.
