I am 71 years old just started taking line dance classes ...... Your instructions are so clear .... Amazing how relax and easy steps ...... You did demonstrate .... Bless you and thank you .....
I am a 56 year old woman, never dance in my life before. After 2 strokes and a severe paralysis on the left side of my body, my dear friend who is a nurse suggested that I learn line dancing to keep my mind sharp and my body more fluid. I searched RUclips and found this video to be encouraging and detailed enough for me to follow. I am grateful for her teaching style. Will stay with her for future dance steps. Liked and subscribed❤
I really like the way that you put it all together at the end, start from scratch, run it through, start over, and string it together. That is so helpful. Because just showing the steps, it could leave someone confused where you leave off. Where do I start again. Now I'm facing this whole new Direction. Us white boys with no sense of rhythm don't know how to deal with that, LOL! I love country music, but I did not grow up line dancing so I don't know these things. But I feel like I'm missing out on dates because I don't, LOL
We are but young university students in Scotland (FREEDOM!!!!) Your videos keep us going through the daily grind, preventing mass depression. Sending LOVE from SCOTLAND 🦄🪻 XOXO
Thank you, I just left a line dancing class totally depressed because I couldn't follow the instructor...you are WONDERFUL and I was able to follow you and actually dance! Yayyy!!
My young daughter is a ballet/tap/modern dancer - she wanted an easy instructional video to line dancing. You delivered, thank you! She hooked it quicker than me!
THIS is what dance lessons are supposed to look like. Thank you so much for these videos, you did such a great job breaking this dance down. Looking forward to seeing you teach the other dances as I want to gain confidence to get on that dance floor at the country bars I go to! :)
Looked at several tutorials and yours is the best. Simple explanation, breakdown of each steps and then put it all together. It is great that you place the viewer behind the instructor. In reality that is how a person moves in this dance. I think the mistake a lot of tutorials make is that they position their body facing to the camera in stead of the opposite side like you did. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome tutorial! I like that it's not a mirror view of the dance, it's easy to follow along because you're facing the same direction as we are. Thank you very much!
I'm watching this 7 yrs later... cuz I knew how to do this 7 yrs ago.. thank you for this, your happiness is expressed through camera, I actually smiled, and I don't typically smile anymore. Good job, great video!
Thank you for an awesome lesson!! I'm going to play a bluegrass show and get the boys to pick a country tune while I lead a line for the first time! Your lesson was excellent and instruction of distinctly higher quality than other teachers -- many thanks again!
Coral, your instruction in this video is excellent!!!! The way you speak, as in the tone and cadence are perfectly done. I hope you are doing great things in your life, because from all these comments, it appears you have helped a lot of people "love" to learn to dance and not "dread" it so much. Thank you for sharing your talents, bless you!!!
You made that look and sound so easy!!! Thanks!! I gotta perform in a cowboy and inflatable horse costume where I've got TWO dance breaks...You're the bomb! Thanks!!
Thanks coral I wanted to learn this since 2 yrs but couldn't find any suitable and easy step by step tutorial thanks to you now I started to learn passionately country club dance
I'm from the UK and really got into a style of music from Northern 80's bands where they combine railroad rockabilly with new wave (see Prefab Sprout 'Faron Young' for a good example). I then watched a great video of Roy Orbison and Springsteen playing together and they looked so cool. I now wear white shirts and bootlace ties, cuban heels the full wack. I get some sarcastic comments from some people but I know I'd probably get a lot of love if I was in the Southern United States. I'll be finding out more and more about this fantastic style and culture. This video is so well done and your approach to understanding how it may look confusing at first is top notch education. Keep on doing what your doing! 👏
You are a great instructor 🤠 👏🏻 I wish you were back her teaching us some more line dance steps. With all going on in the world we need to help occupy our time.
was perfect and at an easy to understand slow pace. Really step by step process. The best video I've found so far. I get confused easily so this helped.
I've had to learn many dance steps and routines over the years. I feel qualified to give you an A+ on your instructional video. Great job! If I would make any recommendation it would be to demonstrate the dance at the very beginning so that the viewer could decide if they liked the dance well enough to learn it. This one was a cute, all-purpose dance that will come in handy for those of us who take the time to practice until we "own" it. Thanks for the vid!
Can't believe we're dancing this in online class😂 P.s: I love the steps, it's easy to learn but I feel so embarrassed doing this while filming because my parents are watching me like: 👁️👄👁️
Love this! A dance I can actually get the hang of and do, and a tutorial I can follow easily! We have very, very little of this dance in England so I appreciate your videos a lot!
Definitely using this to "change it up" for my PE students. I teach exactly the same way, but they could use a different face once in a while! Thank you!
good vid, thanks - keep up the good work. one item (there's always something): Grapevine or Weave steps are the most misused term in line dancing: "grapevine" or a "weave" step is just five or more cross steps in a certain order. For instance if the first cross step is behind the other foot and after the uncross step the next cross step is over the foot and so on.. For instance in the 12 Step or Paquetville or serpent or serpentine you start with the left foot and do 2 rock steps and on the fifth step with the left foot taking a short side step to start the weave or a grapevine pattern.. step with the right foot crossing either behind or crossing over the top then an uncrossing step then with the right foot behind or crossing over the top and so on.. This series of CROSS STEPS is referred to as a "grapevine" or just "vine" or a "weave" and, as you can see, in order to know if a series of cross steps are designated as grapevine or a weave you have to see at least 2 full cross steps or 5 steps.. As you watch, see if one foot, say the right foot, crosses in front of the left then uncross and on the next cross step cross behind the left and then uncrosses and cross in front of the left and so on. One foot is said to "weave" the other.. If a series of cross steps do not alternate front and back (or back and than front) they are not a "grapevine" or "vine" or a "weave" which is why you have to see at least 2 cross steps or 5 steps to know. One cross step then uncross step is not a vine or a weave (think I’m being too picky??) Confused are we yet..lol
Oh my goodness :) Thank you so much! That was amazing. I always wanted to and you made me feel like I just accomplished something. Yay. I'm in South Africa, but I was raised on American TV so I'm a cowgirl deep down. At 39, I promised myself I wouldn't get to 40 without knowing how to kick it like my favourite ladies
I'm not athletically coordinated, but I can do it eventually if some will please just go slow enough and do enough repetitions like you just did. I also appreciate you saying which foot the weight should be on, that is a huge help. Seeing it from the back is also great, thank you.
Thank you for this breakdownof the dance ... .... some of these seem somewhat easy , but there's still a lot of steps involved, lol. You did a wonderful job explaining and demonstrating. ..just seems like a lot of stepwork, we older folks have to remember the count, etc. 🙂😁💃🏼
hello! i like your teaching! i had a brain aneurysm plus a stroke.. people on youtube facing me i get very confused..lol you turned around at teaching really help! now i have to keep the beat! geeee! my left side can but my right side is lost! lol.. but i will keep watching your lessons. thank you so much!
You are too funny! I'm glad you liked it and I'm glad it helped! You will get the beat eventually, just keep practicing and you will start to feel it! :-)
I wish I had had a dance teacher like you when I was in high school! Mine was so mean and impatient that I am terrified of choreographed dancing to this day. But I can freestyle like nobody's business. :)
This very good looking young lady is a fantastic teacher, she does not rush the lesson as so many other people do.

I love the way you instruct... step by step until clear . And then, the music. Thank you!
I've visit this video not because it's my free will but for my Academic needs 😅 but it's nice too because I love cultures. ♥️
thanks for sharing the steps. it was easy to follow because you demonstrated so well slowly and gracefully so I was able to grasp it.
