Social media should be as wholesome as this. And you are right, our brains need some rest because we've just be feeding it too much explicit and unnecessary content.
    Absolutely adore this page❤❤😊

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "There is a piece of flesh in the body, and when it becomes good (reformed), the whole body becomes good; but when it becomes corrupt, the whole body becomes corrupt. That piece of flesh is the heart." (Sahih al-Bukhari) mansh'allah my Allah give us the patient to just sit and enjoy our present in alone time with Allah . fyi somalia look beautiful ..

I'm a Quaker, and I COMPLETELY agree, our main practice is Silent Worship and its incredible how much the practice is affected by the speed at which people run now. At Quaker schools, the silent worship takes on SUCH a holy feeling, its the gift to silence and stillness until the Light compels you to speak. its hard to hear the holy quiet voice when there's such loud worldly noise. ❤❤ love this message.

so real, so real, so real. silence and stillness allow you to hear your inner voice clearly, allows you to hear Allah's wants for you clearly...it opens new paths because the paths of distractions are closed and we all know that when one door closes, another opens.

After a very traumatic loss, I started recording my thoughts on my phone and randomly began walking in the woods for hours after work. I had cultivated so much inner peace during this time. I have also been asked if something was wrong with me for just sitting and running through my thoughts and I thought that was wild but that is the modern world for you. Been wanting to relocate somewhere peaceful as well... thanks for setting an example.♥

When I'm sitting in a relaxed state and someone asks me if I'm okay, I am so triggered and thrown off! Stop! Sister, every single point that you've nailed in your initial video are the same reason why Tanzania gave me so much peace in comparison to USA; I would move to Tanzania in a heartbeat and will move there In shaa Allah. Silence, peace, and connection to God are my only priorities in this life, Alhamdulillah -- Jazakallahu Khair for your reflections.

i used to go retreats with my church, That was on Saturdays and Sundays. Where silence with the HOLY spirit and verses were read to take you inside that place of love and devotion. I am going to add that to my spiritual nourishment.. I am more MYSTIC person.

journaling in silence has been one of the most transforming things eveerr. Every night before going to bed i try to write down everything on my mind and let my thoughts flow. it doesnt have to be much, if nothing is really on my mind i just write down what happened that day. it has helped me discover myself better and reflect more on myself and the relationships i have.
deleting or restricting social media has been so beneficial too. i deleted twitter and tiktok at the beginning of the year already, the only thing that i struggle with is getting rid off is instagram. but i try to make an effort to dont spend too much time on there or deleting the app for a few days at a time.

I mostly agree with you, dear Nadifa. I'd just like to add that the problem is in the amount of boredom one gets exposed to (often involuntarily). Most people can survive and manage to deal with their boredom/loneliness for a while but when it extends for too long (due to a certain lifestyle, rejection from society, or mental illness) they can't.

    • @Nadiifaa

Yea for sure, I agree! Certain cases can make it really hard to find the joy in the silence, boredom, and loneliness

Ma sha Allah blew me away with that first line of poetry..Allahumma barik! May Allah increase us in gratitude and mindfulness. Reminds me of the hadith:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took hold of my hand and said, “O Mu’adh! By Allah I love you, so I advise you to never forget to recite after every prayer:
“Allahumma a’inni ala dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni ‘ibadatika”
O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner.

Your points reminded me of the book Stolen Focus by Johann Hari. I agree with you that we as a society have become so uncomfortable with silence. We are increasingly becoming normalized and dependent on constant distractions in our modern, fast paced, short term dopamine driven world.

    • @sakhak751
      @sakhak751 8 месяцев назад +1

Also you know how you mentioned at 7:14 how you like to zone out the book describes that as mind wandering and there are many scientific benefits to it. But in my opinion because we live in an increasingly digital world were often seen as unproductive or daydreaming if your not constantly doing something; even if that's mindlessly scrolling through your phone for hours.

This topic of stepping away from all the noise and becoming recluse reminds me of how prophet Muhammad (SAW) would go outside of the city Mecca and into the cave, then subsequently receiving the first revelation of the blessed and holy Quran.
