In 2016 I worked as a laborer on the tramshed renovation job next door and some contractors used the street with no name open area to park cars and store some building materials like steel reo. We also had access along some of the lower area to transport materials by hand.
I can tell you this, there was a lot of negative energy on that worksite, back biting, cynicism, near physical altercation i saw and overall not a pleasant place to be. The principle contractor ran out of budget for the site a few times. I worked with a telehandler operator and we went from a respectful dynamic to him nearly decking me over nothing. I do believe after watching this video there may be a demonic presence in the area there that have lingered since those murders and ritual/s. The area may be closed off as it is butressed against and at a close level to the elevated lightrail tracks.
In my view, that entire area between the tramshed and the lightrail the street with no name should be excavated and cleared out totally of all that awful Lantana and bush and road and perhaps have a few stalls set up there or additional parking. Also perhaps have an exorcist purge the entire area.
it could be on some bad type of portal .
That's just any worksite.
This road is and was apart of Maxwell road use to contune though to a dead end you should be able to fined it on the old road maps from the 1950s thought to the 1970s
" lots of privacy to have a crap in the bushes ! 😮
This was a awesome video I want to go there now with my ghost hunting equipment
Interesting.
Maxwell Road, Forest Lodge NSW 2037
The Street with no name actually does has a name Maxwell Rd
Bin chickens 🐔 are people 🎉reincarnated..come back .
Part 2, staying overnight on the Street With No Name?
3:40 Run, it's the 4 bin chickens of the apocolypse 🤣
lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bin chickens are called Gladys
It was used as a garbage tip back in the days. I think it's fenced off because there's lots of toxic stuff buried. Council should clean it up and make a park out of it. Otherwise people keep throwing their rubbish over the fence. Yes, it also was a murder scene in the 70s.
That was my first guess: the earth is probably contaminated with lead, mercury and other toxic nasties.
My husband and I have visited the Street With No Name a few times mostly at night and trust me, it is as creepy as hell. When we went there, it was completely closed off after the body of a homeless man I think his name was Reg Malvern was discovered. The place gives off a really strong uncanny vibe, especially at night. It is I think, one of the creepiest places I have ever been.
There's something underground hidden they don't want people on the street there it has the same curse as St James Train station underground abandoned tunnels people homeless same thing disappear
Geez i live in Glebe and had no clue about this. I go for walks down there at night and get this uncomfortable feeling all the time. Now i know why.
@@EdmundSampson-pd7vialways one guy that feels the need to be a f***wit
I also knew nothing about this street!
You could walk down that alley and look in the window of the tramshed before they redeveloped it.
I was just going to say this.
oh my god. i remember looking through this as a small child. but i have a very vague memory of it. i remember looking down into a window into a sort of muddy pit, can't really remember now, but i always was adament that there was some sort of window in the side of the path that peered into something abandoned. i'm 19 now, and recently brought this up with my parents, wondering if they remembered, but they didn't. till this day i thought i must've dreamt it! but this has FINALLY given me the closure i needed after all thsese years of wondering. wow!
For those saying its actually Maxwell Rd, look closer. The street with no name is actually parallel with the rail line in between the line and Maxwell Rd.
Nope it clearly shows on my maps it's maxwell rd.
@@shanerorko8076 same here. its clearly maxwell rd... there is no road between maxwell and the line. the title of the video should be changed
It was never a street. Occasionally homeless people camp on the site. That’s why it’s fenced off. It’s officially know as 12 Maxwell Road. The alleyway became unused and closed because locals didn’t feel safe using it. The area now is much safer than what it was.
More info about the poor people who were found would have been interesting. This couldn’t be hard to research?
The long abandoned Queen Victoria Sanatorium here in The Blue Mountains is one of THE most unsettling places I’ve ever been too…especially at night…
My grandfather died there in 1996 when it was an aged care home before it closed in May 1999.
I have slept there in a tent... But the grand stand was more creepy to meself
I wonder what its original purpose / use / plans were. Was it ever an officially gazetted street? It’s funny finding all of these quirky roads around Sydney that were built for a reason that never came to fruition.
So interesting never heard of the street...i guess police never found who killed all these kids?!!P.S.I heard old Queen Victoria Quarantine Hospital in Blue Mountains has panranormal activities too.
It certainly does. I’ve lived here in the Blue Mountains for over 50yrs & it’s definitely known locally for lots of …activity. As is the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba,The Gully in Katoomba & the Woodford Academy in obviously,Woodford. I think they have the occasional ghost tour that operates at the Academy…
@@Rowena-kt4lu I know the caretaker of the old hospital site ,which is private property now, and he told us that one day while working in workshop on the hospital site he saw on the door small child standing and looking at him.He though child was lost and start asking where is parents.Child start running and he after him but afterwhile in bush child disappeared...he couldnt find him.Within month he became mentally depressed and suicidal it took him 2 years, with the help of family, to recover...
@@dankadesign7462 Wow,that’s full on. That would be so difficult to move on from. My partner went for a look before it was sold,& felt uneasy,he felt as if someone was following him, turned around to find wet footprints behind him coming from a nearby room, like someone had walked through a puddle, right behind him. This is why I don’t go in these places😉. He just strolled out of there cool as you like & then told me about it. 🫣😜Bonkers stuff.
You could walk down that in the early 80s right up till the early 2000s I used cut through there weekly or even every second day in the late 80s to to late 90s on the regular locals walked it with dogs and joggers. I looked at it maybe 2yrs back. Was also a dumping ground for rubbish stash spot for stolen bikes and a get away for crims being chased by cops lol. I didn't know about the murders but I did hear of muggings that happened there. Interesting thanks for video and stories. Lol I can tell you 4 stories about that spot about old 70s race cars a postie bike fall from trying to do Graffiti and bizzare photoshoot in the tramsheds. 😬
Great video and Thnxs for the history I knew about two of the murders but not the rest.
The walkway next to maxwell rd was closed because there were too many muggings happening on a weekly basis.
That area in the 70s and 80s(when I grew up there)was extremely quiet.Hate to know how quiet it would have been before then.
Well those houses there would be at least 70's likely older, I assume that oval has been used for sports for a long time.
I'm from Canberra, so i don't know much about Sydney, but my mums side came from Bexley, Kogarah area.
@@shanerorko8076 Have another look. Those houses are from about 1900 - 1920.
@sigmaoctantis1892 I said at least, I have no idea, but I'll take your word for it.
@@shanerorko8076 I lived in Glebe in the late 70s and those houses were old then.
According to google maps, the street with no name is 12 Maxwell Road
My Google maps shows me exactly where this place shown in the video.
Yep, I thought so too.
It doesn't show Maxwell road. It shows the viaducts and jubilee park.
A little research might have helped.
@martyhowie75 Try using the google map app.
I remember the Police speaking to me in 1978 about this street. I was 12yrs old, but i was found clinging to life near the Tram Museum at Loftus in May 1978, I was dubbed the feral kid. brutally raped tortured and bashed near to Death. The bloke who did this was sentenced to 18yrs in 2020. for what he did to me and several other little boys. He played a big part in the pedophile ring at Daruk Training school for boys at Windsor west of Sydney.
I'm sorry this happened to you
That horrible what happened to you. Why did the police speak to you about this street, was it related to what happened to you?
Yeah would be very interested to hear more info about this too.
Sentenced in 2020? how does that happen?
Sorry that happen to you
Closed off to stop people dumping rubbish
The 3 year old Simon brook was found at 268 Glebe point road in the opposite direction of "Volta' on Alexandra Lane from where he was kidnapped.
Exactly. Poor little boy was killed by that sick freak Derek Percy. Don't you love it when people make up lies for RUclips?
I know this place, some derro kids tagged my truck in the middle of the day while i was inside. I didnt realise at the time
Had no idea of the sad history of this area. I’ve ridden past it a few times on old school BMX rides
You walked faster out than in! 😅
I went there last week and there was a homeless bloke living in a blue tent. Freaked me out so I left.
I remember U2 sung about it………………
Sydney has some really beautiful rail infrastructure.
Will you also be going there at night for Halloween just you did for Macquarie Fields station back in 2014?
Definitely named - Gazetted as Maxwell Road, Glebe. The fencing and signs are because it's been used as a works depot for light rail, roadworks, and other purposes over the years.
Does not take long to find that out. These kinds of videos would be so much more informative if the creators did some research. It looks like the land may have been part of Jubilee Park cut off from the rest when the Metropolitan Goods Line was built. This line is now the light rail line.
Definitely Maxwell Rd. Definitely wasn't fenced off before the Tramsheds were renovated.
A works depot for *TRAMS,*, roadworks and other purposes....
@@davidcarter4247 This is now the *TRAMWAY LINE!*
"Light Rail" is a *PRETENTIOUS BULLSHIT TERM* which was likely dreamt up by the Yanks who are *infamous* for creating *pretentious bullshit terms!*
The reason that area is fenced off is the soil is highly contaminated. It’s either too expensive to clean up, or it could be that doing so would risk spreading the contamination if the wind picked up some of the soil.
The street with no name actually runs alongside the viaduct (where the gate was at the bottom end). It’s now a gully, as the contaminated dirt pile where the asphalt is spreads into it. You can get in there by walking along the light rail tracks a short distance. The gully is very steep, so if you’re going in make sure you wear good shoes, or you might get stuck. Had I known about the contamination, I probably wouldn’t have gone in, so that’s something to consider. Yes, it’s creepy in there.
That walkway used to take you down to Harold Park trots back in the day too.
Exactly! Was closed off when they decided to put in the light rail. Nothing to do with any of the murders. People love to run with urban legends, hey?
I'm guessing the "satanic murder" was labelled that during the nonsense-fest that the 1980s Satanic Panic. That was both painful and boring to live through and it made it painfully clear which of your friends and relatives fell for stupid rumours.
Don't panic, it's satanic.
Yeah just like c virus showed us who the sheep are these days 😂
I used to live like 100m up the road from Maxwell Rd and used to use the ally way every day to walk to work in Annandale way before the Tramsheds became a bougie dump for the wealthier folks.
Lots of dark stuff has happened in Jubilee Park. I'm glad they finally got that skatepark in after 30 years of proposals. Bringing more people into the area brings more eyes into the area. It used to be very creepy down in Rozelle Bay at night even in the 90's, when shipyards and factories still littered the foreshore, and Harrold Park Paceway set the boundary for where the gentrification began up Wigram Rd. Popped through this fence a few times before the Tramsheds got re-zoned but never knew of these stories about it. Creepy.
Even on the link in the description it is clearly called Maxwell Road...
the alleyway used to be a throughfare during the 1980's & 1990's, Maxwell Road was open with no Gates, I assume it all got locked up when they redeveloped Harold Park and the tram sheds should be opened back up or turned into more parkland
One if the most boring videos I've seen.Hardly looks scary or haunting in any way at all.......... you need to try harder to make your video's more interesting.
No one forced you to watch it dipstick!
Wtf were you expecting? Ghosts to be flying around?? 😂 🤡
A dumping ground possibly by the murderers. Definately needs clearing so it can be reused. Murdered spirits, if any, needs to be freed🙌🌈🇦🇺💯✅🙏🙏
I just happened to be in that part of Glebe back in about 2017 and took a look around. Unfortunately the wire on the gate wasn't cut then so I was stopped at the gate however the allyway was not so overgrown then either so I could take a walk down that until I got to the gate at the end. I didn't find it eerie or creepy at all.
Still a bad place. Obviously a murder place poeple might copy😮😊
Thanks for taking us around
The council needs to clean it up , it looks derelict. Obviously a killer around
You go in the middle of the day when it’s not even creepy! We were there tonight the chain and lock has been snapped so you can waltz on in. I think you need to visit this place at night I think you will find it more challenging my friend. 😮
Hope you have something planned for this years Halloween video
Great video, cheers mate
It might b worth asking the elders of the local aboriginal tribe its history b4 Europeans
Nice one Phil!
so what was the purpose of the road any history about it ?
My grandmother used to live in Forest Lodge. In the years prior to 1965, one of my uncles used to take me and my siblings to see all of the old trams that were stored in the tramsheds at that time. That part of Maxwell Road was a cul-de-sac, mainly used for maintenance access to the then goods railway (now light rail). I do vaguely remember the deaths that Phil refers to being reported over the years.
the street with no name is named maxwell rd
A nightmare on no name street.
it's called Maxwell Rd on google maps
0:43 You're at the Jubilee Park *TRAMWAY* Stop!
Maxwell Rd
Do a night trip 👍
Dude, go back at night.
Interesting, thanx for sharing.
Before i even knew this Street was a thing I remember going to the Light rail stop at night and looking down the street, getting chills...
Probably just a cold breeze though ;)
I worked in a Jewels Supermarket that sold products with 'No Name' on them.
Hahah jewels closed around 1998
@@mikek2258 I worked at Lalor Park in 2007
@buda3d2007 thats strange,
jewels was officially absorbed by iga in 1998.
It was previously owned by flemming family.
The flemming family owned sydney based supermarkets and sold to woolworths limited in 1960.
@@mikek2258 last store closed in 2008 under the jewel brand name sake
@buda3d2007 i cant find any info on that being the last store, only info on it shutting in 1998 around the time i remember it being absorbed at umina just before yr 2000.l it turned into iga, it's now a coles from memory.
must of been a few independently owned stores or something out western sydney.
It would be good if you put links / dates up of all these victims, if you know why don't you put up your evidence. I am aware of the 2 year old slain there that was linked to over killings in different parts of Australia but you have mentioned a lot with no more info.
No, this is not Maxwell Road. It has no name. It is only very briefly referred to as Maxwell road to make referring to it slightly easier.
That alleyway with the street with no name its over grown with weeds and shrubbery to keep people like you out !!!😅
Maxwell Rd.
According to Google Maps, it's Maxwell Road. 😁
Bono even sang about that street.
What a waste of land should build apartments there
I love to go there and see myself I'm into haunted places
Thanks mate I'm going to take my missus there either this weekend or next
How'd it go?
Whatever Happened To That Missus Of Yours?!!
look up 12 maxwell rd , the street does have a name
didn't show much
The extreme brightening caused by iPhone HDR is not appreciated. It hurst my eyes and it is annoying that I have to go to Settings and turn on Low Power Mode (it disables HDR) in order to watch your video. We need RUclips to add a setting to disable HDR. People who suffer from migraines have a real problem with this artificial brightening.
maxwell st
It appears it is a Satanist's killing ground.
haunted you say.....
Wow that's going to a job order going to put it in to get the boys to fix that fence so no one goes in there to hurt themselves thanks
6:54..... it is now a *TRAMWAY* line!
Went there 2 years ago, I was 12
Apparently I started crying
Can’t remember any of it, I was just doing an ‘all the tram stops in Sydney’ video and I just stopped after that stop.
Never again.
Thanks for taking the time to research and explore.
Last week that gate was open, and there was a kid"s bike dumped in there🫣
Born in Sydney, grew up in Sydney, but those trains! I haven't been on a Sydney train for so many decades that it was the old silver rattlers that were running at that time. I reckon it was the late 70's, maybe early 80's since I've been on one.
