Road Fighter is a racing game. Oddly enough, there are no explicit opponents, even if initially it may seem so.
In this run, mtvf1 ( tasvideos.org/... ) destroys as many other vehicles as possible, racking up quite an amount of destruction.

I like to think that it's actually going that fast given how zoomed out the race car is. But the lanes and the highway are both extremely wide for some reason...
Of course that doesn't explain how fast the semi trucks are going.

I can't believe this game did not release in the USA until 1991. If it had released in 86 it would have been a classic in the US like Excitebike or something, but by 91 we had F-Zero, so it was a bit dated.
