Hi, Erica -- this video was great. It's good to see someone else doing this type of thing and the thought process. I'm by myself most of the time doing this without anybody to bounce ideas off (well, sometimes my husband pretends to help hee-hee) but mostly I'm alone in my sewing room talking through this stuff just like you did! Nice to feel validated hahaha! Thank you!🪡
Erica thank you for all the videos you have made because I have learned something from everyone of them. I really enjoyed you sharing your family with us leading up to Christmas in the past and hope you return to it this year. 😢I know last year you said it was just too much work and I understand but I really enjoyed the time you and your husband answered questions over trying new tea.😂
I REALLY liked this "pick the fabric" video. I enjoyed the brainstorming this way and I hope you do some more of these decision making videos for other projects.
Hello Erica. Thank you so much for your generous way of sharing all your secrets of success. I have a bit of the same method as you, but I hate getting to the end of a project (after so much work) and having regrets about my color choices. So for some time now, I have been saving images of all my fabrics on my computer by running them through my computer's scanner. The colors of the fabrics show up quite well on the computer screen. I thus made a "bank" of the colors of my fabrics and it is on the computer that it is much easier to arrange the colors while having a better overview of the final result. It seems a bit long and boring to start this way because we all can't wait to start sewing, but being more certain of less regretting the end result is a plus for me. Thank you so much again, you are so inspiring! Big hugs ❤
Would LOVE to see a live on this process. ❤. I watch this and realize I do a lot of the same process-I always dread cleaning up the mess I make though 😂
Bonjour Erica. Gros calins ❤
I suggest going in to your local quilt shop, bring in a pattern you like, and ask for help. They are great at helping you choose fabrics that blend well together!
Erica, your videos are so helpful. I have a question that I hope you can help with. I ordered backing fabric for a quilt, when it came in I had ordered knit fabric. Can knit be used or do I need to order different fabric? Thanks!
I've never used knit fabric on a quilt before, however, I believe you can use any fabric you like for the backing. I would probably make sure to spray-baste your backing/batting so that it doesn't shift. And I'd probably also quilt it with the knit facing away from the feed dogs so it doesn't get bunched as you go. I would also pre-wash all of your fabric just to be safe.
Great show!!! I have my 11 year old watching to learn how to crochet ! She loves you too! Thanks ❤
Than you. Very helpful. God Bless!
