Ramen quick recipe. Add a small spoon of peanut butter and mix into the sauce/water with a couple drops of sesame oil and sliced green onion. It tastes like Thai noodles. To solve your fire alarm problems get a high smoke point oil. Olive oil smokes at a low temp. High temp oils are avocado oil (refined), almond oil, corn oil, canola oil (aka rapeseed oil in Europe) , grapeseed oil, peanut oil, safflower oil, sesame oil and sunflower oil. They won't smoke up your apt like the olive oil will. American cheese isn't exactly cheese. It's a processed cheese food. It's a food product made from cheese and unfermented dairy ingredients mixed with emulsifiers. It tastes like mild cheese but it's super melty. Thus the US's infatuation with grilled cheese sandwiches, hot cheese dips, and nachos.
I would love to donate the $10 cost of the mug to Ukraine, however I would rather just not get the actual mug, so that I can avoid the $16.20 shipping charges to the States. Is there a way to donate otherwise?
Tips from a Mexican woman who loves to cook three times a day When in doubt go with medium heat. Or even just quarter heat. You're better off cooking low and slow until you get used to cooking. When using lots of oil don't go above medium heat. Unless you are confident in the kitchen. Change your oil depending on the purpose. For frying you can use vegetable oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, or avocado oil. Olive oil is best for lower temperatures.

Late to the party, don't think anyone's said this yet: "sazon" is a pre-made spice blend associated with latino cuisine (I'm familiar with it in Puerto Rican cooking in particulary). It's a mix of coriander, cumin, achiote (aka annatto), garlic powder, oregano, salt & pepper. Hope that helps someone out!
In Brazil we literally put Sazon on everything! (Try popping popcorn kernels with Sazon in it.. amazing!). I also never knew the breakdown of the spices in it. As far as I knew it was just a little packet of happiness 😂
You should check out Muenster. Taste is close and delicious, the melt is just as satisfying, and it’s actually cheese 🤣 haven’t had craft singles in years now. Might have to grab a small pack for the childhood though lmao
I can understand tiktok's obsession with cheese! Jarlsberg is a Norwegian style of Swiss cheese. The mozzarella would have more lactose than the Jarlsberg because as cheese ages the lactose is turned into lactic acid by the bacteria that help turn milk into cheese. So a young cheese like mozzarella is worse for lactose intolerance than cheeses like aged cheddar or Parmesan.
Controversial opinion: Jarlsberg is also a terrible cheese. But it's still better than American cheese, which I'm not entirely convinced is actually cheese...
@@ingvildkjellstadli185 😄I find that mass-produced cheese has a tendency to be a bit meh. If you can get hold of some artisan Jarlsberg, it might convince you otherwise. I make my own, so it is probably not the same as the Norwegian stuff, but it is really nice (if I do say so myself). American cheese does actually have cheese in it, but it is processed in such a way as to make it melt consistently and how good it is would depend on how good the cheese used to make it is.
Hey...just turn the heat down a smidge and cook it fir just a bit longer. Your heat is way too high, which is why everything is too smokey. You can do it!!! :)
Elena: I burn everything *proceeds to put burger patty on the highest flame possible, turn around and talk to the camera* Me: *crying with anxiety at the amount of smoke coming from the pan* Of course you burn everything, sweetheart! Lower the flame please 😭
Higher heat means the outside will burn before the heat has had a chance to penetrate to the centre. So heat depends on what you're cooking and how thick it is. With burgers you could flatten them to help them cook quicker
Ellbat you are one of the people who I thought would be able to do anything decently 😭 never thought cooking will be a weakness, but this was fun nonetheless
I actually have tried the last one, I found it really nice and have grown a habit of eating it in the middle of the night whilst doing my non ending college assignments. I will definitely try the second one, your reactions were quite convincing:). Enjoyed watching♡
Ellbat I think in the Ramen one, you need to maybe fry the noodles a sec, just enough to dry them. And add the season pack after draining the water to enhance the flavor. And then, don't use olive oil bc it burns at high heat. It needs to be a vegetable or canola oil bc they have a high heat resistance & won't burn. I've never made this, but I've seen the videos & I am someone who is obsessed with cooking/baking.
Watching Ellbat cook has me actually quite impressed every time. How are you still alive? Your survival skills in a burning kitchen are unmatched, you know that?

Ell, Simple rule when doing things in hot oil. Turn your flame down to medium when the oil gets to the temp your looking for! Sending luv from south eastern Arizona
Uh okay low heat is always better. Or waiting for oil to warm in the pan before you put something in it. Since that's a gas stove I recomend not going over medium heat unless your trying to boil something like water. I don't remember the exact textures but you can get a heat thermometer and hang a sign for what's well and medium temp. There's also a way to use your hand to compare. You can also just cut open the burger to see how pink it is. You also know when to turn the burger over when the "blood" wells up at the top. Also low heat and longer cooking time usually means its cooked evenly all the way through (for most things, not just meat) rather than being burnt on the outside and raw or Luke warm or undercooked on the inside. For deep frying...well the deep part is that they are submerged. And certain oils have a low burning point. For deep frying you usually need a high burn point because you are usually using a high temperature to fry them quickly. You might be using an oil that's only for low heat.
The last one is kind of a "crunchwrap supreme" from taco bell. I just know that because this week I saw a video by Ethan Chlebowski where he made that. But it was a bit different with more vegetables in it. It looked delicious so maybe you should try his recipe.

A question: are you cooking with oliveoil by chance? If so don't, it burns wayyy too easy. go with some kind of flower based cooking oil or just fat. they can take way more heat without burning.
@@Ellbat also make sure to turn down your temperature when you put something in the oil. Also have a cooking lid close by. And take the pan off the fire when you are done and then try to pick everything up from it, maybe?
You're best using a basic vegetable oil with a higher smoking temperature. Sunflower, corn, peanut or canola oils are all great options for deep fat frying. Olive oil is nice for pan frying but burns faster. Coconut oil is good for light pan frying like veggies.

Different oils have different smoking points so if you’re using an oil like olive oil it has a very low smoking point (will smoke on a low temp) so for things like frying you’d use something like sunflower oil as it has a high smoking point :)) less fire alarms screaming at you 😌
American cheese is that cheese you get where each piece is individually wrapped in plastic, and it melts at a very low temperature, they sell it at most supermarkets. It's literally called "American cheese" or "American style cheese"
Hun please use a lower flame when cooking meat!!! Otherwise it'll burn if you use much oil. Also, you can try and cover The burger with a pan lid when cooking and the lowest flame possible so that the inside will cook neatly. Loved the video anyway 💕

I love Ramen with cheese.. been eating it that way for 25 years, until my T1 Diabetes diagnosis in Jan 2020, now Ramen is off the menu for me.
Jarlsburg made me think of Skyrim. I’m American but I can’t get behind the burger. Or the others, to be honest, but I would willingly die on a battlefield for some tahini.
I second that, tahini is so good 😩
a comment for the algorythm because i love you
I appreciate you!
meats smoking when theyre cooked is supposed to happen, totally normal! the crust meat gets on the outside is the reason it smokes while cooking, but its also the tastiest part :) if you have a super sensitive fire alarm meat will always set it off, i open a window whenever I cook any type of meat!
I feel like I got way too excited seeing Jarlsberg in this video LOL. Did not expect you guys to have that! Love from Norway
Ordered the beautiful mug.
Thank you so much! X
I have to agree the buffalo chicken taquitos looked the best of them.
you'd have been better off with mozzarella slices rather than Jarlsberg if you wanted the stringy cheese!
A lot of our sliced cheese is square but that's definitely the American grilled cheese king square right there
The TikTok vid used a completely different type of noodle which is eaten without soup, flavoring added after draining. Mi Goreng, it’s delicious you should try it~.
I don't remember the other cooking videos being THIS chaotic but 100% this is the content I needed today!
I feel you with the part about failing exams. Every time I try to get driving license or mechatronics technician qualification my mind goes blank on tests. Loved the video though
Absolutely love the cooking videos!!
As an American - we typically use uhh American cheese for burgers. It is the classic cheese for them!
Aka barely real cheese. Don't get me wrong, sometimes there's nothing like it.
I prefer sharp cheddar. But I also put sharp cheddar and/or mozzarella on very nearly everything. I'm a broken American. I have tastebuds.
LOVE this cooking video!!! Definitely need more of these!!! SO enjoyable!!
Thank you !! 💙
This is hilarious! I could watch a whole playlist of you cooking, very entertaining.
Jarlsberg is a very popular Norwegian cheese, also one of my favorites! I'm surprised it's actually sold outside of Norway.
It’s so yummy!! Defo buying it again!!
I love the style of this video!
Thank u so much !! ❤️
The second one was just rolled tacos but with buffalo sauce so if ya wanted you could put like sour cream and shredded lettuce and taco sauce on top
Hun please use a lower flame when cooking meat!!! Otherwise it'll burn if you use much oil. Also, you can try and cover The burger with a pan lid when cooking and the lowest flame possible so that the inside will cook neatly. Loved the video anyway 💕
But cook fast :(
This was such a good video I need more ellbat cooking videos in my life
Cooking advice. Cook most things at med to low heat. Once oil is heated after 45secs at high heat reduce to lowest setting. Or just use oven so you never have to cook again. lol Or become vegan and all cooking times are reduced. LOL x
Will try!!! When I was vegan, it actually took way longer to cook 😭 food prep was LONG
@@Ellbat I bet you dident burn yourself prepping it tho lol x
Heat control, Ellbat, heat control, start hot and them bring your heat down according to what you are doing.
American Cheese, They Use American Cheese, That's Genuinely The Name Of The Cheese
Tortilla burgers are amazing, I'm gonna blame the lovely chef on this one, and the ingredients TikTok suggested lmfao 🤣😂😂
Those ramen springrolls are just an over complicated mac and cheese... but with ramen, the second one is fire, but the last felt like the person ran out of bread and was just like, let's see if the wrap will work.
