I’ve heard so many good things about this game. It’s probably time I give it a shot. Great video!

Probably?! It IS time to give it a shot! It's so enjoyable. I know there are so many games you've gone over that I need to give a shot as well. Boo for backlogs..

I’m sold. I really want to play this now. I missed it growing up. And I was a Sega Genius kid. Great job my dude.

Great review brother! This is a game I’ve been meaning to add but for some reason just haven’t yet 🤦‍♂️. I will be at some point because this game is awesome! Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank ya! Next time you see a copy don't pass on it! Unless it's super expensive or something lol. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you gave it a playthrough.

You're right about how the game teaches you each of the mechanics in a safer environment before raising the stakes. Something most great retro games do.. but the fact Rocket Knight is able to pull this off while still changing up what you're doing so frequently is very impressive.

This is very true and probably why It's so enjoyable going back and giving this game a playthrough. I know I've fallen into my routine of beating the game but I always wonder if there is a better method I might be missing.

Another overlooked platformer on the genesis is high seas havoc. It’s pretty hard, but the difficulty is alleviated by the infinite number of continues (so a game over won’t make you start from the beginning).
It’s really pretty, it’s got a great soundtrack, and is very well animated.

High Seas Havoc looks awesome but at 150 bucks I'll have to pass on buying it. I'll have to try it through other means. Thanks for the recommendation!

@@EveryDayRetroGaming yeah it’s overpriced for sure, the cheapest copy I’ve seen was at a local game store going for 96$ complete. The manual is very barebones so if you just get the game and case with no manual I’ve seen the game at around 60-70$ online, but if you need the manual it’s a needlessly expensive purchase and simply isn’t worth the asking price.
