My daughter sat beside Nicole watching their children playing in the park at Black Rock Victoria bayside. They spoke for about 20 minutes and, because it was out of context, it was not until about 30 minutes of “I know her from somewhere “ that she realised who it was. That’s the measure of her modesty and down to earth persona.
Loved to see this side of Nicole. I am an Aussie, and it is wonderful to the the growth in her as an Actor. She still is such a beautiful person and a lovely role model.
Gosh. I’ve never seen an interview with her before, she’s completely adorable. It’s amazing that’s she kept her Australian accent. My Aunt lives in American and she’s lost her Australian accent.
There is something about Australian women, Margot Robbie is amazingly beautiful and here (and still) Nicole Kidman is so beautiful it's like looking at the Sun, I don't know the relationship she had with Tom Cruise but to have been married to someone that beautiful and charming I don't believe I could get over losing her. "Dead Calm" and "Moulin Rouge" are two of my favorite films of Nicole's.
🙄 What a shallow thing to think. A marriage is based on more than mere looks. The best looking spouse in the world, could be a grumpy, argumentive and selfish partner in real life.
When I saw that BMX Bandits picture, I thought it was a joke. I kept staring at the picture and for the life of me, I could not see her in that little girl's face. Amazing how much she's changed.
Funnily enough I am Australian and my husband and I were taken for South Africans when travelling in the USA - it did not occur to us that we would be mistaken for South African - English - UK yes.
To an American or English ear, South African English and Austrailian have much more in common and are more likely to be confused. Most South Africans have a heavier accent than Trevor Noah who's worked alot on his since he moved to the States, and Americans don't travel to these countries alot, nor is the immigration of from them prevalent. I think to European ears you can usually differentiate thanks to the influence of Afrikaans identifiable as a Dutch accent in SA English and sometimes a more staccatic delivery. I also think a heavy Cockney accent may be perceived as Austrailan but rarely Austrailian perceived as British English in the US, they just have very little exposure to it or any Emglish media, only a little bit of film and inteviews with English actors (who often modify their speech over there). British English most Americans have heard is all RP with no more color than Ricky Gervais. I remeber back when Mel Gibson was hot, Americans had real trouble following him at first. Americans are also very racially aware so if you're black, to an American your probablt from SA, thet honestly don't know that black peoples first language is likely to be Aussie or British. It's funny, there's a yt video with Idris Elba on YT and the e n t i r e comment section is about the shocker that he not just speaks British English but IS a Brit. The perspective beyond their borders is very obscure to say the least. Of and btw, the term RP is also unknown over there. English to most Americans is limited to RP, Glaswegian Scottish and a generalized Irish twang. Perhaps the use of "Godday mate" is identifiable as Aussie to them. You're unlikey to find an American hearing the difference between Canadian French and European French (Candian being taught as "French" in schools) Brazilian vs Portugese, etc etc. American actors are crap at learning other types of English, wheras forreign English speakers in the US can't make it unless they are great at learning American. With very few exeptions. Like Russians they are stuck in their own bubble.
🥴 Well Americans aren't renowned for their intelligence. When I was traveling in the USA, I was asked the most ludicrous questions.....Did we have fridges in my country. Did we have ice-cream and candy. I am from London.
@@MrsSlocombesPuddyCat It's remarkable, I totally agree. The US is very much like a third world country in many ways. It's gottten worse in the last decades too. But what you've experienced is unfreakingbelievable. I can't think of any country I've visited where every adult wouldn't immediately know better. 🙄😣
Nicole , she's completely charming and down to earth in this. Jonathan on the other hand . . . not his finest hour! hahhahaa I think he must have been extremely nervous before the interview, increasingly during and certainly afterwards.
Nicole Kidman is such a down to earth, kind, empathetic person. I write this like I know her.😄 🤣 Another happy fan of all she does. (I obviously do not know her at all.) 😊
I saw pne of her earliest movies and thought it eas called: 'Bankok Hilton'. Have tried to find it back as it was such a beautiful movie but never could gind it again, so thr name might be different; Nicile must have been 18 or so in it. Anyone knows ehat the name avtially was?
You are correct, it is called Bangkok Hilton. I think you can find the whole series here, on RUclips somewhere, since I watched it just a few weeks ago. Have a nice day😊!
Ugh this guy .. kept making her uncomfortable. Hope she never interviewed with him. She is very classy, I would have walked. Dude shut up and let the guests talk.
Saw her recently on the BBC "One Show", bless her heart, I felt so sorry for her, I think she was jetlagged , she had to keep handing off questions to her co star in a film or play they were in together, and were promoting. We've all been that tired, but on film......... Savage.
This is obviously a very old interview - Nicole Kidman clearly handled it with grace and humility - he is rude arrogant and would’nt get away with any of it today. Thank god things have changed at least on the outside anyway. Much respect to Nicole Kidman ❤️🙏
This was a weird interview. He calls her old, stupid and weak with backhanded statements and she totally catches all of it. Then to top it off calls her mom a bitch. Guess it’s the type of humor
I have British friends who would never make these types of jokes. Guy is an idiot. So glad she met the wonderful Keith Urban. She was too classy to walk off.
He totally blew it! He went way too far beyond the good taste with the interview. Graham Norton, which is the GOAT in this business would never do such thing.
That is a matter of taste. Graham is terrific and makes his guests feel good. For the viewer, however, Graham can come across as a little too predictable and shallow over time. Ideal for viewers who like it a bit more chaste. In this respect, a quick-witted Jonathan may be too direct for someone who is used to everything being "bleeped" away. Like Ricky Gervais, Jonathan is less known for hypocritical flattery.

Her interview with Letterman post divorce is very funny.
Far more likeable than when she was with Tom .. must be so happy with her new Husband now!!❤️
Great interview, Nicole is so natural
I could have listened for hours, and her laugh is infectious what an absolute beauty she is.
Wow. She’s wonderful and such a class act 😍. My mom is also a “pull yourself together” kinda mom, and I love her to bits.
I remember her from bmx bandits. She's an a-list hollywood star but she just seems like that girl next door.
Gosh. I’ve never seen an interview with her before, she’s completely adorable. It’s amazing that’s she kept her Australian accent. My Aunt lives in American and she’s lost her Australian accent.
20 years ago!!!she looks amazing!!!she still an enchanting human being!!!for a rock star!!!
You two cracked me up. Thanks for making me giggle throughout this video.😀💕
I laughed so much. So refreshing to watch them banter
Always loved Nicole Kidman … she gets good movies !!
He is the funniest!! I love her acting, she's very lovely.
He was rude and without respect to her familly!
@@adagross2488 What are you talking about?? He's a late night talk host/comedian, she expects a little ribbing on his show, take a pill.

Yeah no he’s not funny. Like a letchy creep. She was so patient and classy
Jonathan Ross makes Alan Partridge look professional and smooth.

The comment about her mum....felt that from here...ouch...!!

What a lovely genuine Star
Great rapport between these two .Excellant interview
You’re wrong She was uncomfortable half the time, couldn’t wait for it to end.. listen to what she was saying
