    Hey Brother!
I have the same T15g Gen2 and was looking for the new SSD.
I did ended up buying same SSD(samsung 970), did I did good, or should have bought 980/990, or different brant at all?
Would you please give me a recommendation on RAM please, kindly?
Thanks for your work, you are cool and calming😌

Thanks for the kind words! The Samsung 970 remains plenty usable for me. Newer ones would perform better, of course, but I'm not sure how much of that difference I'll be able to feel on a day-to-day basis.
As for RAM, here's what I use in all the Thinkpads shown in my channel. I like them specifically because they use SK Hynix modules and are on the inexpensive side:
      64GB kit (32x2, what I use): amzn.to/41fa3ni
      32GB kit (16x2): amzn.to/3VKtO5o
Full disclosure: these are affiliate links. I earn a little for driving traffic through checkout but don't get any share from the products/suppliers themselves. :D

Hey man thanks for the video, really helpful. I did all the steps above but I can’t find the extra drive on my pc. Any other recommendation?

Did you mean to say that the slots themselves aren't there? If so, I'm not sure if there's much else that can be done.

Thanks this was really helpful. After installing and formatting. how do I use the new ssd or transfer files there (for me I want to move my steam games from my original ssd to the new one and make it so that whenever I download new games they get stored on the new ssd) When I click on This PC on file explorer it still only shows the disk C with the original storage amount

Try to get the drive set up in disk manager. Open the Start menu and type "create and format partitions" to open it.

You first need to set it up using disk manager. Open the Start menu and type "create and format partitions" to open it.

I got some transparent foil on my P15‘s thermal pad. Should it be removed? Only for high end SSDs?

Have you experienced any cooling issue? If so, would you say it is a deal breaker? I would like to get one, but many reviews mention its cooling problem which will slow down its performance. Just curious. Thanks!

It ran a little warm at first, but I wouldn't call it a deal breaker. Applying basic ThrottleStop settings helped a lot. Cheers

Did anyone tried 4TB drives with this laptop?
