I disagree on the term "enhanced" because colors is ultimately a subjective thing. Some people are going to prefer the hacked version whereas others will still prefer the original Mega Drive version :) For the most part I don't think that this game needed a color hack, few Mega Drive games need one IMO (some exceptions being Rainbow Island or Raiden), but still cool to see a different take on the graphics although I prefer how the original version looks overall.
Interesting, I liked the color corrections for the most part, the main menu looks gorgeus, the rest of the levels are fine, some high contrasts here and here, case of The Pridelans for example. Overall not bad, it makes it more look like the SNES version. I also liked how Simba looks less brown-ish. It must look good on the older tv screens.
Except the stampede stage,( I think the original is much better) all the stages have been improved. The difference on the menu picture is like day and night.
I honestly don't now what they was thinking choosing those color pallets making the Genesis version of the game. They must have been taking acid or something.
@@OkamiAuraHenshin I doubt it has stretched sprites/graphic assets so much as they look stretched when viewed in 4:3 ratio. I imagine that viewed in its native 8:4 ratio that everything in the SNES version will look the same width as on Genesis, although the SNES version will now very obviously have a much smaller horizontal view. I would love to see this on a crt display showing us how its supposed to look.
It looks good that’s for sure
Nice and well played episode, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching :)
I prefer the original bigtime. Comes down to taste I guess.

As is usually the case with this guy's work, some parts look better and some parts looks worse.

color correction making a blistering african desert sun look like an overcast british day ?

Unnecessary change Simba's colour
Both are good but if I’m not mistaken there’s a problem gripping on the snes version that makes it worse

SO FINALLY IT´S TRUE: THE SNES VERSION IS BETTER, SO THEY NEED TO MADE PATCHES TO IMPROVE THE GENESIS ONE. SNES WINNER, GET OVER IT BABY.
SNES version has stretched sprites/graphic assets and shitty collision detection. It was never better.
