I have an E90 M3 2010 Competition model here in Australia which I have owned for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I've done all the preventative maintenance including Rod Bearings, throttle actuators and main bearings as well as as adding carbon fiber bits here and there. Now going for for around 60k. I have had multiple offers from prespective buyers but will never part with it. A real drivers car
I paid $56k for mine 3 years ago. The prices went up during covid then settled down again. Currently they are heading up in value again. I would expect that you'll pay $60 -$70k for a good one now. I believe that only 20 E90 M3 competetions came into Aust as the E92 (2 door) was the more popular version to have. I have just had the valve covers replaced from the magnesium alloy ones to the aluminium covers to stop any valve cover oil leaks (including from the oil filler cap). Mine is used as a daily driver and I wouldn't have anything else.@@pavelsidor
Great little review mate. Why has YT only thrown this up to me now, 7 months late?I've a Space Grey E90 LCI too, and in six and a half minutes you've got this nailed. Mine has a carbon plenum and stage 2 tune and it's just near perfect. The only thing I'm considering changing is the gearing as you rightly say is very long. It will be proper mental with shorter gearing! After four years I can say there's still nothing on my radar I'd change it for that doesn't cost several times as much. If you can live with the high running cost I can't recommend it enough.
They are a sweet ride and I came close a couple times to grab one but my B7 RS4 can rev right out to 8k and sounds so good doing it! Cool videos, keep it up mate.
With the right induction kit and hi end exhaust there aren't too many better sounding n/a cars on the planet. I know they have issues especially with the engine but if you can find one that hasn't been limiter bashed when it's cold they are very reliable.
Funnily enough that is one of the biggest complaints about the engine that I have heard. To get the power out you have to be trashing it which is fine on a spirited Saturday drive. But something like a slightly tuned 335i in my personal opinion would make a far better daily driver. You can't beat the M3 for the smile factor when you are treating it like an M3 but the daily aspect leaves something to be desired.
@@KiwiCarLife car is currently for sale in WLG and looks like its been painted (poorly colour matched) in the images and since you had a first hand account of the car, I thought I'd ask. Cheers
Great car and review! Looked like it really gets up and goes! Really? they are 30K over there in NZ?, blimey, folks definitely buy one, that is huge car for the money!
@@KiwiCarLife Haha fair enough, but still even 40K is not bad, these cars were something like 140k brand new, so a good deal less money to buy nowadays and I think they will be a future classic. My uncle imported one from England with nearly brand new miles on the clock many moons ago and it was a stunning car. There are a handful of modified ones here on the Gold Coast and they are more than quick enough, plus with a decent exhaust they sound incredible!
Hmm I think this drives better than the ISF, higher revving, better gearbox, better infotainment, adjustable suspension, LSD etc. But the Lexus is more reliable... I don't really know tbh
It needs a rear wing for sure!!.... maybe the one off that Mazda MPS will fit with a bit of gorilla glue?? HEHEHEHE... has the rod bearings been done though??... but it looks like great fun and controllable as hell.
Not a whole lot that gives it away that it is M car????????? He missed the fact that this is sedan with voupe frond end and every body panel is different from norman sedan so just a few subtile details

Very nice!
I’m from Brisbane! How much did it set you back the competition spec?
And how much were rod bearings? I’m in market for one

The e90 is a better handling chassis. Look at the tops gear lap times compared to the e92.

Awesome man!
Nice video mate, to the point without the usual YT chatting away. Owning a E90M3 for almost 9 years I'd also confirm all you say is true...🙂
Thanks man and nice car!

Cheers man yeah the RS4 is also excellent, hopefully gonna film a review of one at some point and then I would have done the ISF, C63, M3 and RS4

Oh absolutely agree
Nice video, a review on their GR86 would be awesome
Yeah hopefully gonna line that up
Absolutely love these
Delightful vehicles
winter coat and shorts ) true NZ review
Haha classic, it's a fairly light puffer though
初めて購入したBMWが F10 535iでしたが、E90 M3に憧れがあり、今はM3を乗っています。駐車するだけで楽しい車です😄
Yes
Beautiful car, and gorgeous country NZ is!
Thanks!
Love these for how they rev
Oh yeah man it's glorious aye

I dunno probably… why?

I'm picking up an E90 tomorrow, absolute awesome car, not an M3 though

I don't anyone has ever compared an M3 to a trumpet before but I get it.
HAHAHA
Your mic/muff seems insane, all that wind and you can nearly hear any wind noise at all
Haha yeah that little fluff thing makes all the difference
Possibly, with a manual box.
The DCT is extremely good though!
@@KiwiCarLifeno doubt but a third pedal is missed.
Bonnet struts on order😅
Haha classic
Yes.
Yes
My daily! :)
Nice!
how does it compare to your acourd in terms of driving enjoyment and and as a daily car?
Well obviously this is much better in every way haha
would you consider getting one over the Isf?

What tyres are you running? it seems a bit too slippery for an M3.....My E90 wouldn't step out like that.
It was greasy out... think they were contis or something
@@KiwiCarLife Ah I see, got to have the Pilot sports on there, nothing comes close to those.
Which one is nicer going sideways isf or this?
M3 coz lsd
@@KiwiCarLife true. Nice m3 though great drift around the roundabout !
NICE 👍
Thanks ✌

Not sure if the rod bearings have been done but it ran great and was glorious to drive. Very predictable
Man you are scaring me, it can't be Wednesday already??? Haha
Haha yeah g!
Did you prefer this or the ISF?
Tbh yes I did... but I'd still get an ISF due to reliability
There’s with a manual are much more fun
I imagine

Yeah but to the untrained eye it’s not extremely easy to spot
