- I loved learning about grog’s past in this episode and seeing pike and scanlan flirt more, I’m ready for them to get together. This one is shorter because I got so immersed that I didn’t talk a lot. I hope you enjoy the video and I would really like suggestions for a show I should react to next!
Pikes hair actually turned white as part of the dnd campaign when she died and got revived at some point and the experience made her hair change color.
10:00 Grog fought Earthbreaker Groon in the arena of the Stormlord, the actual god of storms, battle and competition. Based on the tribes name and focus on physical might it is likely that in the past they followed the teachings of the god which of course include bravery and "true" strength, but theres no sign of religion or those values under Thunderlord Kevdak
Some of the flirting is because Pike does like Scanlan, but she is also being tactical: she knows how to motivate her friend to do his best.

Pike's hair turned white from a trauma, just like Percy's. Some reactors mistake that for Pike's mother, but you were right.
They are very careful to show that Grog only killed armed opponents. And the little flash of light that that drew Grog's attention to Wilhand's locket - could that be the work of the Everlight, the goddess of Redemption?
and yeah, that "but what if I need you?" callback hits hard. and what a set up for what may be the best episode of the season.
Sam based his character, Scanlan Shorthalt, after a real musician, Marshall Mathers. Including working with Dr Dranzil (Dr Dre).
