According to the Player's Handbook, Resurrection is a Necromantic spell, but Necromancers aren't really known for using it. Clerics and Palidins and Priests usually cast Raise Dead and Ressurection, while Necromancers cast the spells that make Zombies and do nasty things to people who are already dead. Minor Spoiler: We're most likely going to find out what happened to Keyleth's mom, but not for a LONG-ass time. It may not be Keyleth who finds out.....

So the only thing I hated from this season and major change from the campaign is Kash. He doesnt die in the campaign so that was a huge blow. I totally understand it's just an adaptation, but I love his character so much lol Kash is a cleric of the life domain though.

So if i remember correctly, after the incident with Pop Pop and Grog becoming Pike's adopted brother kind of, he eventually left and met up with Scanlan when he was off Barding. They met up with the group and when they decided they needed a healer, Grog took them to get Pike. I'm like 90% sure that's the most basic rundown

As for the search for Grog and Bob spoilers, that timeline shows all their live dnd games that they played in Exandria, and those 2 were one-off one shot games, separate from the main storyline. The one shot dnd games were filler games that they played in between campaigns 1 & 2, or games they played as rewards for the milestones being met of the kickstarter fundraiser milestones for the animation you’re watching! Sorry, I forgot they showed those on a timeline, but not a big spoiler, and not a spoiler for the main storyline arc.

Taliesin originally played a dragonborn paladin but it was created for their "one shot" that turned out to be so enjoyable they turned it into a full campaign. Taliesin wanted a more developed character with a unique class, so he created Percy. That is why Percy was last to join the group.

In D&D, when you're high enough level, death is an inconvenience; they didn't want it to be like that in the show -- they wanted it to be impactful...and they succeeded.

They appear to be using "Demon" and "Devil" interchangably; in D&D, there's a difference, which they can't use because of copyright, but they do imply the difference. Demons are from The Abyss and are Chaotic Evil -- no rules; Orthax entered into his bargain with Percy without any consent -- he's a Demon. Devils are from The Hells and are Lawful Evil -- they have rules, which they will follow to the letter, but they'll screw you in the fine print; Zerxes didn't pull anything until he had a contract -- he's a Devil. Zerxes tells them to be careful about names because if you know a Demon/Devil's true name, you can have power over them -- they keep their true names as secret as their stash of kiddy pron. Forgive me if someone else has said this in another comment, but you can watch Zerxes make that deal in "Exandria Unlimited: Calamity" -- for Critical Role, it's short...only about 25 hours. Druids don't wear metal armor -- only leather or natural materials. Zerxes doesn't have much more of a goal with Pike beyond just fucking with her head. I think, in the long run, Pike will be okay.

I totally understand feeling like you're "not good at" emotional media, but it looks, as a viewer, like you ARE good at it, that you feel the emotion and understand it, and it makes you react in an emotional way yourself :) I would much rather watch someone who let themselves be engaged in the emotions of the characters, than someone who was trying to act like things didn't affect them. Given everything with Percy's history (noble family, middle son, very sheltered, then SUDDENLY TRAUMA up until present), and also his face once they were done (like he'd had a revelation. 😆) And because Vex has lived in very different circles, has so much more experience of the world, is older than Percy, and is very sex positive in general (at least in the campaign). I feel like she would absolutely have enjoyed flings in the past with zero baggage or shame (and I love that for her). Plus, as you say, attachments for Vex are frightening (in a similar way to Vax, though it manifests differently in him) so finding herself in a situation where she doesn't WANT to cut and run would be unsettling, even before the history where everyone she cares about gets hurt. There's no confirmation either way in canon (as far as I can remember) but that's my read on those two. For the entire grain of salt it's worth :)

Spice, btw, is an in-joke from the campaign. In the game, they spent more time in Ank'Harel, and Scanlan kept looking for a spice called "fusaka." He was convinced that it was some kind of exotic drug. Hmm. Keyleth definitely inexperienced. Percy might have had sex at some point (although I doubt it), but I'm positive he's never been in love before. Pike told the Everlight that she "mixed it up," and I think that was her term for "messing around."
