Great video. Good description. I bought one in late 2019.. mine is the swb 2.0l Elite 180ps with 8 speed automatic gearbox. 26,000 miles on, I had to have a whole new Adblue reservoir and sensors, all under warranty so happy days,.. However due to Covid sourcing the parts too 3 weeks. All in all, Lovely van and absolutely flies with the awesome auto box. Down side... I'm 5' 11" and anyone taller would find the driving position very cramped,.. if the bulkhead was three inches further back then it would be much better. Overall opinion Chuffed. P.s. My van was £26k plus vat. The equivalent in the Transit would have been £45 k plus vat. So its a no brainer. Cheers.
@G.Williams One year later, what are your most recent thoughts with the Vivaro? I’ve got a XL auto Berlingo on order, which I’m starting to think might be too small and I’m tempted to go for an auto Vivaro instead. What’s the fuel consumption like?
I’ve got 6 seater sportive 8 speed auto on order from Luton I hope it doesn’t let me down, I took out a manual for test drive quick acceleration fairly quite, smooth gear change only issue wing mirrors are fairly small and no blind spots, so I’m going to get them fitted as an extra otherwise very impressed cab layout is better than Citroen in my opinion, lots of tech stuff my favourite is a chilled glove box
i got a sportive version and i love it its a 69 plate and its lwb much better than the older model i had 2005 only problem i got with it is the small door mirrors
Thanks for the video very informative as I am looking to change my van in the next few months. I have the old Vauxhall vivaro Sportive which had the navigation as standard, is it not now standard in this new model? Dose apple play replace it ? The mirror inside the cab is it not for the revers camera 🤔?
Hi thanks for the comment good point regards the mirror . And yes you are right it comes with apple car play . This usually is better as your phone is always up to date . There is an optional extra from Vauxhall to order a new one with a nav function , but most models have the apple car play Thanks again
based on previous experience my bet is it spends more time in the woeful dealer network than it does on the job.....then again alot of modern vans seem a bit too delicate these days
Just flicking through the comments, I'm looking to buy a brand new van in next couple of weeks. I need one that can take 8x4 sheets of ply or plasterboard. My interest was raised with the new Vivaro because Vauxhall claim it is entirely British. Well is it or isn't it? Many people who think they are experts say different things so who can i trust? My reason for thinking of going Vivaro is that IF it is British then by buying it I am supporting the British work force and the rest of us should do the same. If it is just false advertising then I'll just go and buy a new Transit as I prefer Ford except that is no longer made in UK. Can anybody from Vauxhall answer my question?? Also is the new Vivaro the same pattern as the Shitreon, Nissen or Peugeot vans, Eurovan or whatever they were called. I'm getting the picture that the new Vivaro is now unique. The other comments don't give me much confidence.
Hi Tony many thanks for the comment The LWB Vivaro will fit an 8x4 sheet in the van on the floor The new Vivaro is built on the same as the PSA group who brought Vauxhall out in the UK . They complied if Citreon Peugeot and Vauxhall in the van sector . The Toyota pro ace is also the same van Stand a lone manufacturer is mainly ford or Volkswagen but they will be joining together as shortly It’s a very good van. If you want to see one drive one or chat to someone in person we have a team in Birmingham who can help and talk on the phone let us know and will send the details across
i would not recommend him. It’s my second Vivaro. The first delivered in February 2020, but the dealer took it back because there were all kinds of factory errors. The second was delivered in November 2020. Also with these van all kinds of electronics problems. The car will be sold as soon as possible and I will look for another brand. Never again this brand! Greets from Belgium
Not a good van if you are a tall person eyes right at the top of the screen ever with the seat at the lowest position and no leg room when seat is all the way back I much prefer the old Vivaro
