@grules8707 after about 2005 or 2006 they changed the frame colour from silver to black. I believe black frames were also used for the start of a new generation. My friend has the 450EXC model before mine and there are significant changes to the frame.

I have a 2005 450 EXC but it has black frame and forks. Love this bike.
