- Here's a video review of the Toy Story Collection series Buzz! In my opinion, this is the definitive Buzz Lightyear figure. It's also of note that this is the same as the Signature Collection Buzz Lightyear that you can find in stores now.

This was made before Toy Story 3 came out, that's how old this is.
I always wanted a Buzz Lightyear toy so bad when I was a kid and saw Toy Story.

Omg memories!! I watched this review back in 2009 and I freaked out because of how much I love buzz and was currently searching for a figure that had all the features, and this review totally convinced me to buy the figure and I thank you that....but nowadays I can't decide if I like the tsc version better or the Disney store one. I love the tsc because of the quality and accuracy of how he was in the film. But the Disney store one has all the features including the light up wings plus the helmet button and karate chop but it doesn't flow in the dark or have the rubber gut, I honestly want Disney to take the Disney store one and make it glow in the dark and put him in a completely accurate box with no tsc blurbs on it, but I doubt that'll happen lol thanx for reading my ramblings to anyone who did:)
John Francis the Disney one is cheaply made, I had it in 2014,
he broke in a year, not rough play the helmet button broke

@@fawflethetawfle2404 yeah, nowadays I agree. TSC version is much better made, I also have both, and the Disney store version basically fell apart.
Brilliant toy, been seeking some good Toy Story figures since the new film came out.
Being 17, I grew up on Toy Story, and should comment that Toy Story is amazing and a must-see.
I got this Buzz Lightyear when I was 10,now I am 15 and it’s still my favourite action figure!
When I was a child my mother bought me the toy story movie.
I loved the movie so much and I fell in love with it that I believed that toys could move
when you're not around! all the characters were amazing, but The character I liked the most was Buzz Lightyear.
Later, I decided to get Buzz Lightyear. My mother
and I went to Disney store to get it, but unfortunately when we
got there, we didn't find the toy. We only found the spaceship
empty. Then I got really depressed and I started crying and
moaning. You have no idea what it feels like to look for
something and never find it! Eventually as years went by, I
started to forget about the whole thing. And then one day, I
finally found Buzz Lightyear online ten years later after I turned nineteen.
I am happy because I finally found him, but I'm sure that I would have been happier and even more excited if I'd found him back then when I was nine!

I know how you feel. When I was looking for bullseye at Walmart In 2010 they didn't have the collectors version and they just had the stupid Hasbro plastic toy! Not the doll like in the movies!

I have the original Buzz that was created for the first movie, and he also has a pretty nice glow in the dark feature.

I remember watching these reviews as a wee little boy, i have been wanting this guy for years. I got woody and bullseye for tax returns and i just got buzz last Christmas and i am so happy every morning because I wake up to see the guys i admire the most finally in my hands. :) im hoping to extend my collection

It's so awesome at how the details in the movie is there. Starting with the box.
I had a Buzz Lightyear when I was a kid because Toy Story 2 had just come out and I was a big fan of the first film. I also had a Woody besides that. I remember I used to throw Buzz around to see if he could fly, LOL. :)

the boxes were in great condition
The box is wrecked just to be accurate to when it first showed up in the movie. It was crashed.
But it's not. I'll never understand how people are rationalizing poor shipping methods and calling it "movie accuracy". There were a great number of these in store that were in pristine condition and this one was messed up because it was shipped to my home. Nothing more.

Honestly, I think the shipped ones come busted like that probably because the cardboard/plastic of the box are just very flimsy that they are easily damaged.

nice review once again, we saw this at Toys R Us too and we were very excited to see it. yeh the boxes were also all badly damaged.

I just got Jessie and bullseye for my daughter and have been debating on finishing off the collection with Buzz and Woody... Your review has made it impossible for me to not go out and buy it. Buzz is clearly better than the others however bullseye is amazing! Thanks for the review.

well the only thing that I noticed was that in doing the demo on Buzz Lightyear you really couldn't see him glow in the dark I think that you have to put the light on him a little bit longer and all over so that the demo of him going in the Dark Knight come out better and the laser doesn't sound like the same one in the movie it sounds a little bit different and I'm in agreement with you wish there were two bowls for that laser one when you can just push it and it goes off in the other one way you could push it down and keep it going off then I do think that the wings could have been bigger but I look at Buzz Lightyear on the Toy Story the wings are spread out pretty far so I guess they would have to make a slightly bigger pack of his back to put larger wings that they're so that they would be larger Wingspread other than that it was it was pretty good pretty good
hello! i have the signature buzz collection and when i press the red-wing button it doesnt make that flying noise while the wings are poped out...... why?
The only thing I can think of is to make sure it's switched to the on position and not "Try Me" mode. Besides that I'm not sure... :\
it is switched to 'on' position! it's maybe a difference between tha new and the old version of buzz.. the level sensor is working...

It's a shame he doesn't have the Karate-Chop Action, and that his helmet doesn't go all the way back... also that it can't retract with the push of one of those buttons by his head, like in the movie. But no matter, still a great toy!
i buyed the buzz lightyear with the utility belt five years ago but now the helmet is a little bit broken and the head cant move :(

When yu 1st showed the box, me 1st thought: ''*Gasp* MY SHIP! *Looks at box* Blast! This'll take weeks to repair!"
you don't even really have to press the button to get the flying noises. just move him around in the air!
You could think of the damaged box as extra authenticity, because in the first movie the box probably got damaged while Andy was opening it.

I remember this i wanted it really badly for chirstmas when i was 3. My mom told me it was literally IMPOSSIBLE to find one because everyone wanted one. She new someone in the industry who could hook her up and i got a limited edition one that was black instead of green :D
Look at the advances made between this figure and the first one. They might be able to add those features sometime in the future.

I just received mine.. Got it at eBay. Have not opened it up yet.. Looks really good though!! And the packaging is huge! My packaging is actually in a pretty good condition too. No parts crumpled etc..
