I eat 120 g of cooked soya beans several times a week, which I puree and season to make a sauce or dip. Eating plantbased lowfat and 1 tbsp of ground linseed works well, no more hot flushes

I’m 65, slim, fit, vegan and I follow Dr Greger’s recommendations for extra supplements yet I have all the unpleasant symptoms of older women. I was on HRT for a few years but off now and hot flushes have come back. I was hoping to hear some natural remedies that work for hot flushes and vag dryness. Growing old is grim

Dr. Greger, I want to know the theoretical long term risks with a women in their 20’s taking high dose of Pueraria Mirfica (1500mg) combined with Movisse birth control.

You need to learn about menopause from Dr. Barbie Taylor, Dr. Louise Newson, Dr. Mary Claire Haver. They are a wealth of reliable information on women's menopause health. I am a big fan of Dr. Greger, but he is not providing the best information to peri and menopause women.

Is there something he said here that is incorrect? And please, please share what you know that does help for these symptoms. This is great information but seems like an intro on the subject. I’m afraid I need more than that at the moment.

I completely agree. I don’t see how anyone can argue with the decreased rate of Alzheimer’s, hip fractures, and cardiovascular disease associated with the use of bioidentical estradiol in peri/menopausal women. Not that he’s arguing this point-I appreciate what Dr. G does but will never stop HRT. I actually feel like myself again.

Dr. Louise Newson is now under investigation for pushing high estrogen regimens. Many women have had health issues from this. YOU need to stop spreading misinformation. Estrogen absolutely comes with risk.

@@FortheHealthofit. we don’t eat that much. If i have to guess, it’s the amount of veggies to meat that we eat. Growing up meat was condiment to enhance soup & veggies. We eat more rice than anything else.

@@ima7333 thank you for that insight. I adopted an Asian baby boy from Kazakhstan years ago, and when I spent eight weeks in that country, I was amazed at the natural beauty of the people, their skin, their weights… I noticed the same thing in China I actually looked for fat people and couldn’t find any I came back and got on a diet 😁

@@ima7333 "meat was a condiment". Methinks that's the big difference. Americans only want meat and are scared of rice and live on convenience foods. There could also be some genetic factors, but most of the time it's the food.

Cancer risk in SAD Americans is from their diet and lifestyle, no matter what age or estrogen levels. When I get back in the SADAL again (Standard American Diet And Lifestyle), during the holidays, I feel terrible. "It's the food. It was always the food." -Famous Plant Based Doctor in Portland, Oregon, my town. Funny, I can't remember his name, only his slogan! I don't follow his protocol, I'm on an anticancer longevity diet portfolio, and bioidentical HRT for 10 years at age 66. I have never needed lubricant. My new, younger boyfriend showed up with some for our first time and I told him that if I needed that, he wasn't doing his job right. He needs to take care of himself better too, his last physical showed a BP of 187 - "over what?" I asked. He didn't even know. "That nice erection we both enjoy is not going to be around much longer," I said. He's researching beet root supplements and I'm shaking my head saying, "It's the food, sweetheart. It was always the food."

It’s the GMOs, pesticides and additives such as HFC, that most other countries have outlawed but the U.S. still allows, that makes the huge difference.
