Thanks Lynden. Ive been trying to get my minor scales down but have struggled to learn how to put them to use over the changes. This helps a great deal.
Great video , understood the difference between harmonic and melodic . Major scale and flatten the third ! Doh l how long has it taken me to realise that . Just got to work it in all 12 patterns 450,000 times . Thanks for your hard work
Hi Terry and thank you 🤩 I’m going through a mixer that has reverb. There’s a video here of my set up: ruclips.net/video/AkPBN7FUP3g/видео.htmlfeature=shared
On the part that you say melodic minor, you wrote belong your playing the note F instead of F#. It confuses me, what to understand. Thank you very much for your YT chanel contribution for sax player :D
Yes you’re absolutely right, I did play an F instead of an F# and I’m sorry if this confused you. I had reverted back to the melodic minor instead. I should have said so on the video. Sorry again and does this make sense now?
Hi David, I'm not sure that I completely understand your question. Are you are asking if you can play a blues scale over a 251? In which case, yes you could make it work. If you're asking can you make a 251 out of a blues scale then the answer is no, you can't. Does this help?

Thank you so much. If in the grid there is a A-7 instead of the A-6, is this still a « standard « 251 , or not ? Thank you
Yes, if it’s preceded by a -7b5 and a 7b9 or 7b13 then it’s still a minor 251 🤝🤝

@@lyndenblades Yes. Thanks so much
@@davidhyatt7550 you’re welcome 🎷🎷🤝🤝
15:00 The F should be F#
You’re absolutely right although both will fit. I played the harmonic minor and should have played the melodic minor.
