LOL, with the look on your face at 4:51 (and again at 6:00), I could imagine you, after you finished the video, calling your hand lettering friends and telling them how your mind was blown. It's such a delight to see someone discover something new and have pure joy on her face. We need more videos like this, and more channels like yours. :)
So, after watching this I got out my Clorox cleaner spray, put some in a little bottle, dipped in a paint brush and tried everything you did to my Tombow coloring and it worked the same! I think I’ll fill my aquabrush with some Clorox spray! Very cool 😎
I’ve used bleach full strength as a design on artist grade watercolour paper and it done graded the paper quality. It also continued to fade and “eat” the paper fibres when I came back to it a few days later. It also stunk like bleach in a laundry room lol. Just a tip to experiment before ruining your nice artwork.
Yep flying blindly with all the German. But if you did it I can too!! Hopefully I ordered the pens correctly and didn’t inadvertently agree to take part in an international exchange. LOL 😅
I've never been sold on something so quickly! And only 10euro for shipping to the US?? Game over. Thank you, Becca and thank you to the initial follower that introduced you to this magic!!
Ok. I'm just about as amazed by that as you are - even just by the notion of, essentially, a brush pen that erases brush pen marks! I need that in my life, not just because of how cool it is, but because I could really use something that erases my brush pen mistakes! I love your reactions to it, btw!
Hi Becca, the German word for "fine" is "fein", spelled differently, pronounced the same (although your package uses the English word). The white strip on the brush pen packaging says "erase and write over it again". It reminds me very much of the "Tintenkiller" (ink killer, literal translation) I used to use in school.
Had a marker set as a kid , around 30 yrs ago 🙂, that had 5 markers one of which was like a bleach marker and wiped out the other markers . Were called “ Magic pens” .
Thank you Becca, so much for sharing this. When I saw your video yesterday I shared it with my Mom, she is a paint artist. She has beginning Alzheimer. She was so happy. I am ordering it for my Mom, so that she can use it before she forgets to paint and my granddaughters that are starting to paint. Thanks again. Blessings.❤❤❤
OMG Becca! You just made me die laughing! I am glad there are other ink/lettering/art supply geeks out there just like me! Thanks so much for a much needed giggle. I will be buying this product as well.
Very cool! This is the big girl product of something I purchased for my kids many, many years ago 😂. I guess about 30 years ago I purchased a set of markers, and yes it was a German product. The markers were big, like the crayola markers for kids. But in the pack of markers was a marker with a white tip that did the exact same thing. It took out the color. It was very cool then too! 😊
Well, that video could be called "Becca - Raw and Uncut"!🤣 Great reaction - made me smile!💕 As for the German website, I know Google Chrome has a translate option that the browser usually presents upon opening the site. That worked for me when I checked it out. What I would really love to see is an option in RUclips for translated captions on foreign language videos....👍
If you watch RUclips in a Chrome browser on a computer, there is a translate link on most non-English descriptions. Haven’t checked to see if it’s there with other browsers, and sadly not available in the IOS apps. I don’t know of any apps that can translate the video track, but wouldn’t that be grear? I’m sure Google Labs is working on it!
This is the most amazing thing to watch live, but better to know it’s available. And of course, you have the best followers to help with the translation❣️
Here's one for you to try. Full disclosure: this idea is inspired by this video so I have no idea if this will work. Using a refillable brush pen, mix up a little Oxy Clean and try that in the brush. The color change looks exactly like Oxy Clean works.
That is really cool! And on the package is written in German : erase and paint over it... so maybe it has to dry first, but you could try writing over the erased part...
I had a teacher that forbid us to use those. She said she'd rather have us cross out our mistakes 😅. But yeah this eraser is no surprise to Germans for sure
Hi Becca - I am pretty sure that when I lived in Germany back in the 70's and 80's that I was using this stuff...this was such a flashback for me. I am definitely going to order some. Thank you for this
Hi, this video was recomended by RUclips. This is the first time ever I hered of this pen. I need this. Oh, by the way I'm from Germany. Great reaction video😂
Oh my gosh 🥰 your reaction is priceless and put a smile on my face. You are so lovely. The pen reminds me so much of my childhood, always had to erase my writing mistakes 😂. Love it!!!
There is a tab to see in German or English. After reading, I believe this is a mix of water and bleach in a regular water brush. This is a stamping technique I have used.
Wow Becca 😍 How can I have missed your videos all this time when you really shine like the stare you are?? In less than a couple of minutes you went from unknown to me to one of the most inspiring people in my life! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, tips & trix and foremost your super delightful energi and spirit! I'm right now battling a sewer depression and discovered recently that using Art as an alternative to the stronger medicines I've been prescribed by the doctors is a way better solution for me, of course it doesn't work 24/7 but the more I write, paint or just look for videos for help and inspiration the easier it gets to stop, for an example my panic attacks! Well, enough about me now, I just had to let you know that you make a big difference in a struggling mom of 4's life!! Keep up the good work, you are so so good at it all!! Lot's of love from Marie, in Sweden
This is the best most hilarious vid I've seen you do. Your live reaction is priceless. Kid in a candy store funny! Looks like a fab product and glad I saw this before "splashing out" on masking fluid. Thanks for sharing (shut the front door 🤣)
That was so great to see your reaction to this product......loved it. I'm already thinking of ways to use it. Will be checking it out. Thanks for showing us and sharing the link.
W.O.W. Loving your enthusiasm Becca --- AND I DON'T BLAME YOU --- my jaw was dropping in the same manner here at home when watching your vid!!! Looking at the examples on their website, I just L.O.V.E. the spray effect!!! Wowzer!!! Now... let's see how much postage is :o
Okay, mind officially blown! I wonder if there are any circumstances under which the ink will reappear, like a drastic change in temperature? Frixion markers and pens are erasable, but if you put your paper in the freezer, or if it’s exposed to cold weather, that which you erased will reappear. How about putting your Brush Ex sample in the fridge or toaster oven (obviously not on a high temp) for a bit and see if anything changes? I’d be really interested in seeing more about this magic tool!
There used to be 'magic pens/markers' that did that in the 90's...they also had one that changed the color of written marker. I can't remember what they were called but there were infomercials about them.

Did you try hand sanitizer & paper towels? Sounds bizarre but try it on a small area 1st. If Tombows are waterbased this should work. I use this to remove marks on quite a few things. I use 70% alcohol IF the paint/surface can take it.
Magic Erasers are probably the best bet. Next up, use harsher chemicals, such as Goof-Off, 409, straight bleach, etc. This is likely just a watered down bleach pen, btw.
@@m.elainebates7931 Sanitizer is like diluted rubbing alcohol mixed with things to make it softer on the hands/skin. Better off using +90% rubbing alcohol. Its cheaper, and stronger.

Hi Becca, you should do part 2 with magic pen : will it erase on black paper, metallic too..? What about other brands of brush pens?

Great hack
was the color of the ink not affected when you wrote over the area where you used the clorox on?
What was the ratio you used? I know that Brush Ex does say Clorox is an ingredient in the brush liquid.

i've used the same at school only for ink fountain pens...worked like a charm.
Who's going to take one for the team and compare this to a regular old Tintenkiller? I'm kind of convinced it's the same product.
I would love to see a video using a Tintenkiller. Never heard of this either. Thank you for posting.

I had the same thought. It seems there is a chemical composition out there that dissolves colour pigment and makes it unregognizable to the human eye
That is really cool!
