Did anyone notice on the intermediate layout the word IN was omitted on the final layout? Love the video. It's always interesting to see how much goes into something that appears to be so simply.

I went back to see the point where it was omitted and can see myself doing the same thing and not feeling the need to draw attention to it. Just wild to imagine a human does human things like the rest of us imperfect humans.

I am a middle school art teacher and our last project of the semester is to pick a quote from a favorite cartoon character and then to write it out in calligraphy lettering. I have watched many of your videos and other youtuber's videos, and I have to say that YOU by FAR are the BEST at explaining and teaching!! Thank you! :)

My biggest take away from this is correcting your sloppy copy with a red pen. Something so simple but so effective! I've been toying around with hand lettering for about a year now but am not confident enough to call myself anything other than "beginner". Your videos are helping me gain a lot of confidence in my work. Thank you for your hard work Becca! P.S. I absolutely LOVE the Dad Jokes in your emails! Haha!

I'm looking forward to your videos. I was always task writing detail while serving in the Air Force almost 30 years ago. So, I have pretty good writing skills with plain writing . You videos are easy to follow and your work is awesome. Just by chance my wife bought me a tombow writing set a few months back. I figured while we are staying home to fight Covid 19 I can learn a new craft. I'm really looking forward to leaning this new talent while I relax in my Colorado mountain paradise.

It requires quite a few steps to figure it all out but it's worth to put in a bit more effort into planning and in that way avoid the frustration of having to rework, not knowing where your mistake is, if tat makes sense. Seriously beautiful penmanship!
Question: What percentage if penmanship can be acheived by practice and time, and what is natural born gift for lack of better term. Hopefully that question makes sense, I just feel some have a more natural ability for artistic writings. Thanks.
