Retropalooza convention is one of my favorite conventions to go to...full of all things Retro from video games, toys, movies, collectibles and more! Sadly, this years convention did not happen but luckily I still had all my footage from last year and decided what better time to make this video than the week it was supposed to happen! This past year was particularly special because I went as a vendor. I had a booth set up and sold a ton of games that were either doubles or just not needed for my personal collection. I also got to meet up with a ton of amazing youtubers as well! Thank you so much for the Game Chasers for putting on this incredible event.

I can't believe this is where we are at. Seriously thought there was no way this was going to get cancelled. Would definitely have been the highlight of the year.
I know dude, such a bummer! Glad we got to meet though and become best friends
Man I need to go to a video game convention that looks like so much fun
I've always wanted to go to these conventions. I have 12,100 games, 331 consoles, and 39 complete libraries. I've been around since 1997. Maybe one day.
Thanks for sharing this video. I can’t wait for conventions to start again too! So much fun!
I’ve always wanted to hit up a big convention. I just have never been able to get out of town whenever one is close. Sounds like you had a blast!!!
Rick your getting us all use to these 2 videos a week! Killing it with the videos lately! We all appreciate all the work you put in!
Yea
Inspector Gadget Woo-hoo Theme Song is stuck in my head now lol
Watching this takes me back. Lol the last time I did a show I was 18. 21 yrs ago dang I'm old. I remember them being fun and spending all the money I made on figures and merch I wanted. Good time and great memories. One of these days I'd like to go back to it. Really enjoying your content. Keep it up and hopefully when this thing finally settles they can safely start up these events again.
Super excited for retropalooza this weekend!
Man the year without CONS! Hopefully everything can get back on track next year... I'm dying to hang with all my Friends I've made on the platform again and just have some fun. Thanks for sharing dude.
When you said you wanted a 'Full-size Pee-wee Herman' I became a little scared, then I got what you meant later. Haha!
Watching this again after keeping up to date with the last released episode, I'm glad you changed, haha!!
Nice Rick! Mystery Quest is my jam!
I remember looking through your booth at the show! I look forward to meeting you next year when Retropalooza returns.
I was surprised to learn how much boxes were worth from youtubers like yourself and collectors luck. Was able to score a silver game cube box for a 1 dollar at a garage sale early this year because of it !
You got some amazing things from the event. My favorite is definitely that pee wee. In the box, outstanding. The ahh real monsters and the nes games were awesome to see as well. Great job with the vid! 👍🎃
Thanks for tuning in Jason! Yes the pee wee was the highlight for me too!
Awesome video Rick! Thanks for sharing
Glad you finally made this video. It was great meeting you. Can't wait till the next time.
Yeah it was man..next year hopefully!
Rick you are not a terrible RUclipsr, you are my FAVORITE RUclipsr :)
Great stuff Rick. Dude you're growing like crazy!! Another 700 subs in the last couple days!
Hey I found that 8 bit song you've put in this video and I loved it and my favorite product you have got is the game cube!
Wow game genie in the box? 1st time seeing that anywhere!!
I think I would love to attend that event! Looks so cool.
Retropalooza...sounds like my kinda place!
It’s amazing!!
I've never been to a game convention looks like fun
Awesome! I just moved to the DFW area, hopefully I can make it to the next Retropalooza.
Great take back from last year! We gotta hook up soon!
I’m in!
yay
Love your channel!!!! Thank you so much for posting I love the Nintendo 64 I just caint get enough my all time favorite system
I'm from houston texas. Ive bin to all the houston retro paloozas since day 1. Sad this year didn't happen 😢.
How I miss last year when we were able to actually do things I’m already ready for lock down 2
Man!! That’s a really cool convention!! Too bad I live in Canada!! Hopefully I can go to one sometime in my lifetime!!
But another person told me conventions are a waste of time, glad to see someone else goes to them!!! Jay asked us to come down there but PA to TX is a loooooong drive.
Nice man! Dude they are such a blast!
I'm from houston and ive bin told the the Arlington palooza is bigger and better and has more toys.
The one time i was able to go to Retropalooza, i had bought my plane tickets, booked a hotel, and then a week later i was notified that i was getting deployed to Afghanistan... worst timing ever...
He throwed me😂. Awesome video bro!!
Nice - I bought a Zelda Gamecube box just recently. Came with a very smoke dingy Gamecube which I have put in a GCLoader in. I plan on spray painting it to my channel colors. I'm currently going through my stuff and just clearing out my collection. Hopefully we'll meet up at a retro convention someday!
Great idea! That would be rad man!
Man I am with you on the bummer of conventions being shut down. The Cartridge Club was going to invade PRGE but it got coviderized. We did Too Many Games the year prior and it was a top notch turnout ... best part was meeting all the super rad youtubers out there that I had never seen in person before and chilling with friends at the hotel after.
Very nice arcade hall!
Man, I missed last years Retropalooza, so I was gonna make sure to be there this year. Then everything went to hell. lol Hopefully it’s back next year, and I’ll definitely hit up your booth!
Good stuff man looking for the next one
I like that inspector Gadget shirt you have on 👌
I’ve been looking for a portable system that plays snes games! Thank you for showing that off Rick!
Love the channel keep up the good work, look forward to every time you upload video
Dude i want this on my country ...omg so amazing , cool man !!!
Ayyyy I go to this convention every year
I've got the Pepsi PlayStation Kiosk, either the same or very similar to the one in your video. It's my most prized piece! Got it from an estate sale in KS and drove 3 hours out to get it.
Dude I love your intro remind me of better days
Go-go gadget helicopter. Wowzers.
You like all the same things I do! Awesome Zords
Great video man!
This was fun to watch. I miss the cons so much 😫😫😫
Me too, they are so fun
Awesome video man
That's dutch on the home alone. Funny to see
Two retro rick episodes in one week... score!
Haha thanks for tuning in Tim!
Looks like a pretty epic time.
It was! So bummed about this year ☹️
Your inspiring me to start my own collection by the way
I like the NBA Jam t-shirt yeah. Yeah I didn't even know they had a Home Alone 2 PlayStation 2 game that is so cool
3:20
that nick box in the trunk doooe!!
I hope I can go to Retropalooza Convention 2021 next year and meet all of you guys!
I miss the games conventions, they were cancelled in my area NYC.
I need to go to Retropalooza!! (Also I logged onto my computer just to post this comment from sketchy hotel wifi.)
Ha ha ha my mom has the exact same Pee wee Herman doll and box except totally minty fresh......one of her prize items that sits in the living-room to this day. Who could hate Pee Wee?
I had a commodore 128 but when we turned it on we had to hold down some buttons so it would go into 64 mode. Favorite game was gauntlet
Retro Rick is 100% gonna make it big on RUclips one day
Not before you do
@@retrorick I’ve been trying since 2017 but I’ve gotten nowhere
Man, I've wanted to go to this convention for so long. It always seems like a bunch of fun. But you should check out Southeast Game Exchange. It's a bundle of fun, and there are some crazy good deals.
I’m surprised sometimes of the things you collect like Pee Wee Power Glove as you were born in 87 and missed the original hype that went with it. I’m glad I was born in 80 where I could really experience all the 1980 kid stuff.
Game.com.... that brings back memories. I asked and got it for Christmas when I was in 3rd grade. Batman and Jurassic Park games.
Horrible handheld but a great piece of gaming history.
Looks like you had a blast and met some of your favorite youtubers. I would love to attend to one of those conventions one day.Rick where did you find that Inspector Gadget shirt you had on ?. I use to watch that show growing up.
Holy crap I had one of those Handy Gear monstrosities way back when lol
I totally had a talking Steve Urkle doll like that PeeWee Hermon when I was a kid! It came in a box almost identical to that one only with Family Matters branding on it.
I miss attending conventions so much ;_;
If you have a Nes to Sega adapter you can play Sega games too on that retro duo portable.
Dangggg for some reason I didnt get the noti earlier but at least I get some content 👍🏼
I found your channel through watching Eds Reteo Geek Out Retropalooza video
Ha that is wild! Thanks for watching my friend
You should get a Family Matters Steve Urkel doll next if you don't already have one. I remember seeing one along with a stuffed Alf plush at this eccentric thrift store in NYC and thought they looked so cool. That store even had a giant life sized Ronald McDonald statue and a Osama Bin Laden toy for sale which was really weird lol. I remember thinking where the heck did they get this? Store is called Search and Destroy NYC.
Pulls the string on Pee Wee Herman : "THE STARS AT NIGHT ARE BIG AND BRIGHT"...........
👏👏👏👏 down in the heart of Texas.
11th lol dam I feel like we are being spoiled lmao extra videos.
u lucky u got so many exposé :)
we got 0 in Denmark :(
i have to go to Norway or Germany for one lol
.
Another awesome video. Retro what do we have to do to make this your full time gig?! (Already subbed to the Patreon)
this is really cool! do you color correct your footage, colors lookin real good 👌
I think you will hit 30k subs this year
Retro rick am all ways looking up to you
Nice video so far! Keep up the good work I love your vids! Also wondering, what do you use to edit? I’m trying to start out on a RUclips channel.
My buddy Retro leaving me torn...which shirt is more badass ; Inspector Gadget or NBA Jam......awesome stuff as always Rick!
Hello!
That was one of the coolest weekends ever. 🤩 sucks that we don’t get to do it again this year, it was so cool to meet you and the other channels I watch in real life for a european its like meeting celebrities 🤠 that’s a lotta nes games!
Yeah it was! Can’t wait to hang again soon!
Awesome video when does this convention usually happen? And how much does the booths to sell usually cost if you remember?
Makes me want to go to one of these, looked like a ton of fun!
Come with me next time
I found that pee wee doll at a thrift store a few weeks ago (not boxed). It was a couple bucks but I passed because I’m not into pee wee stuff. Plus it looks creepy.
I expect that you probably regretted thanking Ed, once you got to play the atrocity that is "Home Alone" on the PS2? The US definitely dodged a bullet with that one! 😂
I thought at 1st that was Ron Jeremy in the Game.com commercial.
Ya that was a blockbuster branded controller. I had a few for different systems. I miss blockbuster...
Say man, wanna sell that Ernest back there? :P
Hey Rick. Big fan of the channel! I've reached out to you on here and on Messenger. I have a really cool retro collection I've been collecting for years.. If your ever in Indy hit me up.. would love to show you what I got.. I have an attic full of retro stuff.. varying from McDonalds merch, power rangers, tmnt, glassware, goosebumps merch, beanie babies, He-Man, etc.. all types of stuff
I was hoping for more clips from the convention, but most of it was him standing in front of the camera talking
Sup love ❤️ the vids
Game Chasers were far from one of the first, but they were the first to do it with style.
I don't know if you noticed or not but... when you were going through the $4 NES games at 12:42 you said and I quote "$4 each on deez nuts". I know it was out of context but I found it funny.
Hahaha def didn’t notice that
Frigggggggggggen rona! *shakes fist to the sky!*
That SEGA hat is awesome. Where did you get it?
How much was a booth at retropoolza? I set up at 2 many games in Philadelphia pa and it was 700$ for both and electric.
It’s was $150 for a booth, $250 for one with power...very reasonable!
