98 Honda Civic EX (automatic) P0505 code - IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE

98 Honda Civic EX 1.6L VTEC Automatic. Check Engine Light came on with the code P0505-IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE(IACV). After cleaning the IACV of the carbon deposits and putting it back on the problem still existed. So I decided to replace the IACV itself.
There are a FEW other possibilities why this code will come up:
- Faulty IAC Valve
- IAC valve harness is open or shorted/poor electrical connection
-Intake Manifold gasket air leak
- Catalyst Converter (usually a combined Check Engine Light code will be combined with P0505 code)
