When most people try to do this spooky psychedelic style, I can always feel what they’re going for but there’s always something missing. But this... I can’t quite put into words what it is that makes it so chilling and crazy and mesmerizing all at the same time, but it just ticks every box for me. Absolutely wonderful, I love every part of it
I think you need a combination of the perfect song and the perfect color palette to pull something like this off

coming back to this because i just found out that those frames of the plant growing (at 1:11, 2:09, and 2:40) are wormwood, an ingredient in absinthe! very cool, and beautifully drawn!!
I have a few theories about the symbolism in this video, but my most confident one is definitely about the little fireflies/bugs that can be seen throughout the video. I believe that they symbolize the brewing tension/dislike surrounding Brokenstar’s leadership. For one, they appear whenever cats would be critical of Brokenstar, for example when kits get hurt/killed and scenes when pre-exile Yellowfang is present. They also seem to shine brighter or change color depending on how critical cats would be in that scene, but that could just be me. Overall, I think that the fireflies in the video symbolize cats becoming critical of Brokenstar’s leadership.
Shame how underrated this character and RUclipsr is.
I'm probably the only person on the planet who's favorite character is Brokenstar. ITS TWISTED, BUT IM FINE WITH IT.

I usually stray away from Warrior Cats PMVs but yours have always been stunning to the eye that I can't ignore any of them!! I recently came across this one (despite the original release being 3 years ago) and I have just fallen IN LOVE with the music choice, and the graphics, I am just in awe by all your work! I'm not sure how open to constructive criticism you are so feel free to ignore me.
I really like your work, and I think this video is amazing!! The only reason I mention any criticism is because I know it's helped me with my art.
Anyway, I think it may be easier to understand what's happening in the video if the line work were slightly thinner (I mean very slightly, as the thick lines suit your work). I feel like it would make it easier to make out expressions, markings, and movement.
Other than that I'm obsessed with your colour scheme, how the video is always in motion, and how your style fits the song and the feeling you were going for. It's absolutely amazing.
Again, I don't mean to insult you in any way. I just wanted to give constructive feedback.
Keep up with the awesome work!

Honestly, I genuinely don't believe in this criticism. For me, the bolder lines add this odd stylistic scheme you'd see in Cartoon Network animated shows. Although, with the faces I do think the lines shouldn't be the same thickness. Maybe alternate between thicknesses to add more depth? Just don't change the overall large pen thickness for all, just subtle differences that will keep the style true but make expressions come to life. Or add little lines here and there to present movement, or tussled fur. I believe they used that idea throughout a few scenes, but maybe adapt on it.
But genuinely, I think using this level of thickness may be due to getting more art out faster then having to deal with odd lines, or lines accidentally overlapping/breaking while still keeping the art pleasant to look at.
@@esterbun9356 I agree! I think that the thickness of lines give off the correct atmosphere to the scene, something thinner lines may not be able to do

I had to rewatch this since it's been years since I've reread the whole warriors series and side stories, just got done with the 3rd book of the first arc and my heart truly goes out for Yellowfang,, I hope and would definitely admire a remake of this legend of a PMV!!! YESSSSS IDK HOW WARRIOR CATS ANIMATION SUPURIORITY
Ok, I haven't read anything with Brokenstar in it (pls no shame on me for not reading the first series we couldn't find it anywhere-) but I understand the story from watching lots of these animations, same thing with Ashfur
So what I see from this is that Brokenstar was training kits to be warriors at less than 6 moons (I've watched some things with the story so I knew that) and killing them, and blames it on Yellowfang at one point
So exiles her for nothing, and tells all four clans she's a kit murderer,
So the whole thing with Thunderclan getting the kits back happens,
I'm not sure about the middle bit here, but I know about Brokenstar's death now-
Yellowfang, I think, scratched both his eyes out, blinding him, and probably tells the clan a fox got him
And then she goes to treat him, but gives him deathberries instead of whatever was needed
So yAh
This is epic animation as always also UwU
Most of that was correct! But brokenstar leads an attack on thunderclan and thats when yellowfang blinds him. They keep him prisoner at camp. Then broken(tail)star plots secretly with tigerstar to murder bluestar. After that, yellowfang realizes her son (brokenstar) is too dangerous to be kept alive and feeds him the berries.
