Achei a JBL mais forte nos graves; a LG mais equilibrada. Dependendo da música e do seu perfil de uso, uma vai agradar mais que a outra. Mas, com certeza, a JBL oferece uma construção mais robusta.

the lg sounds hollower compared to the jbl.

That's because the JBL one puts all the emphasis on the low frequencies, to the point that it loses definition in the other frequencies. The LG one has a much better balance overall between all frequencies. JBL knows that most people usually care too much about the low end only.
