What if Steph Curry was Traded to the Bucks in 2012?

  • In March of the 2011-12 season, Monta Ellis was sent to Milwaukee in exchange for Andrew Bogut. Since GSW was in such a desperate position to add defense, size & physicality, Warriors owner Joe Lacob soon after admitted that GSW would have traded either Monta OR STEPH in order to shore up the frontline & bring a greater balance to the team. It was a risky move.. & not one that would be without consequence.. as the second Monta was sent for an (injured) Bogut, Lacob heard it from the crowd. Incessant booing at the next home game. Monta was the clear-cut fan favorite w his electric play & scoring ability. Some couldn't see the vision.. Though to be fair nobody knew it would go down as it has.. What if it had never happened at all? What would Stephen Curry's legacy have become as a Milwaukee Buck?
Every move made in this scenario was based off their original timing & trade package. The asking price for a player was analyzed & replaced with a similar package that another team coulda sent (if it made sense for em - either based on their management philosophies or simply a good basketball fit). Sure, some moves were made to intentionally spice things up & heat up the competition since, in the end.. none of us know what REALLY would've happened anyways (especially not 2k 🤣). So I hope y'all enjoy a fun scenario with loose regulations to hold somewhat a level of realism.
    Couple Notes:
    - Brooklyn never traded their picks to Boston for PP/KG in the worst move in recent franchise history. Gave em a break they had a enough problems throughout this era 🤣
    - Players like Harden, Lowry and others had much lower value than they do today. Don't believe me, go back & check the original asking price.
