its like black sabbath and queen had a child..love it.
Haha. I always said queen and zeppelin had an Illegitimate child and named it the darkness.😊❤
That has to be one of the best riffs ever! Great tune.
+Steven A. Mckay Damn right!
+Steven A. Mckay Great Song, like the whole album, but this riff has been already used "Accept - London Leatherboys"
I had a listen and the Accept riff sounds kinda similar-ish, but with about half the notes, half the swagger and none of the "WTF?! That riff is AWESOME!" Sorry, my first Accept album was "I'm A Rebel" and it was my last too! ;-)
Also similar to Rocket Queen by Guns N' Roses. Great riff though
the timing changes in that fast riff part is just excellent....
and unbelievably fun to play on drums !!!!
GOOD LORD!!!!!!!! What a MONSTER riff!!!!!!!!! I'm SOLD!
Seriously The Darkness has the best riffs and most of the world doesn't even know
@@drkennethnoisewater7999 bruh this song has 400.000 views rn
The darkness eats sick riffs for breakfast. Lol
Killer track!! Guitar tone riff heaven!!
The Darkness: Truly an effective guitar solo delivery system.
Yeah, those guys are wizards
Can't stop listening to this album! Great record! And Roaring Waters is one of the best songs!
By far their best album. Lot of different-sounding unique tunes.
By far one of the sexiest riffs I've ever had the honor of hearing.
Not only are the songs fantastic on this album, the production is amazing, credit to the engineer and producer.
That guitar riff tho.....
Tented trousers.
Oh man the bpm jump in the breaks, genius! The banjo for fill! Wow......
This song is genius. It sounds completely different from anything else The Darkness has done.
These guys never fail to come up with some kick ass riffs!
This song is about a little village on the south of Ireland that was ransacked by pirates, most of the population taken as slaves 1200 years ago.
Awesome to hear the darkness sing about it because I live right next to the village :D
It was less than 400 years ago that the sacking of Baltimore happened.
Oh damn drama in the Irish darkness fans
2nd dude is right tho
Bran Tse Mallory 1636 around that period .and yes was an eye opener when if found out about this song done by the darkness no less 😊
Great hard rock song
might be my favourite track on the album
The last part with the drums timing change is so good. High quality from The Darkness!
Just now hearing this one. Really like it.
We all are here for tha riff, and you know it
+mbustamante77 Yes sir - you are most right. And they fuckn deliver!
definitely!!! so in love with it!
+mrwhitford1966 Deliver, they do. I fucking love these guys.
+mbustamante77 That riff is so epicly in the off-beat in the most perfect way.
mbustamante77 that's the song you put on to blast you out of bed
killer album. bought it !
Just F^^@^G awesome. Heard these guys years ago. Saw a movie recently and heard them again. I'm a reborn fan and this time I'm going to buy all of their albums. I'm Sold.
This song is amazing just like every other song by The Darkness. I love it. Thank you.
The riff oh my God👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Damn, that riff at 2:44 is sick!
God these guys are so incredibly talented! I fucking love them!
This track just does it for me! Great new sound for the band, great new album!
The Darkness what a great band! 👍👍👍👊✌️.
what a great song on a wonderful record!
I concure
the best band in the world
Jebus cripes, that's a helluva riff.
Coolest riff ever
Might be one of the best songs ever written, let alone on this album. Newcastle, December 14th! Here we fuckin go!!!!
Justin's melody on this one is the best thing I've ever known
This album is so damn good.
going to see them in two hours ... fuck yeah
adoro esta cancion!
This particular song reminds me of Rush more than anything lyrically. Definitely an Aerosmith influence.
Now in 2017 The Darkness has an new album out called "Pinewood Smile". There is already three singles.. "All The Pretty Girls", "Solid Gold" and "Southern Trains". Don't miss it!
5 years late to this album but fuck me its good. This song has grown on me totally.
Awesome
Bloody hell... this is amazing! :)
This song fkn ROCKS🤘🏼👍🤟🏼💥
Great !!!!
Great band!
Love you guys 😀💘 the slow and faster guitar drum section is bliss!!!!
The Darkness Kick Ass!!!!!!
Here is the reason why Dan Hawkins is the best modern rhythm guitar player: His perfect tone sounds like Malcolm Young's without being a replica of the latter. It is because he is blessed with brilliant ears and big hands. That is it.
A great song from a great album
I love this badass guitar tuning DGDGBE. Basic drop D has met its match .☺☺☺
Mucho grande
I love The Darkness!!!! Muito foda!!!!
this song its a cross from two song ... rythm from "over now " (coverdale page ) and riff from aerosmith's song legendary child and someone sounds like Brian May (Queen's guitarist )..... great song
The riff at 1:40 sounds like GnR "Rocket Queen"
Christian That is a pretty fair assessment. I can hear these suggestions in this kickin' song.
Add STP's "Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart" to the sound while your at it
The riff sounds like something Dean Deleo would have come up. Great riff!
Awesome as ever! Love it!
Out of all of The Darkness songs, my favorite is “Roaring Waters.”
Which one is that?
holy shit amazing song!!!!
Love em'
Snappy drumming
Another master class in crafting a kick ass rock and roll song.
Song's about 'The Sack of Baltimore'; took place on June 20, 1631, when the village of Baltimore, West Cork, Ireland, was attacked by the Ottoman Algeria and Republic of Salé slavers from the Barbary Coast of North Africa. [100-200 Irish villagers kidnapped into slavery by Africans.]
Luckily enough it was a plantation town..majority were English settlers. Thank fuck
These guys are (Great)! You never know what they are going to do next!? Stick with your roots and stay right here in this (Go Zone) of Rock :) Justin Hawkins is a Great Singer, Guitarist, Lead Guitarist, Keyboardist, and he is also entertaining as f*** too. I like the way the brothers (Dan Hawkins - Guitarist) and (Justin Hawkins) get along like Malcolm and Angus Young of AC/DC. Both Dan and Justin songwriting abilities with Frankie is great! The (Bass player Frankie Poullain) is their Best Bassist and knows how to write, drive, or finesse a song! The drummer works lockstep with Bassist - Frankie. The (Drummer - Rufus "Tiger" Taylor) - Rock Royalty has had a great teacher but, has made it on his own drumming merits! I like all of it!
that funckin' riff
New album from The Darkness in late 2017 !!
What a riff! Its if acdc and freddie mercury collaberated together and done this song. u can def hear acdc in some of their tunes.
Maybe Led Zeppelin... Definitely not hearing any AC/DC.
+Brett Arnold Not in this song anyway
+Bobaganush26 Yeah. I listened to more, and a lot of the riffs sounded like they were straight out of Angus' noggin.
+Shane Shelley I think you mean Brian May. I fuckin' love Freddie Mercury, but don't think he contributed much to Queen's guitar work. As I recall, he only learned like 3 cords on the guitar.
+CasualLoLAddict All the guys in Queen were accomplished musicians with their own ideas all that about music. Seriously mad band, they were. The Darkness, is like a tribute to all that massively awesome classic rock, and I fucking love it.
Great song remember me Van Halen
Have you heard The Darkness first live-album "Live At Hammersmith" from 2018?
Did you know The Darkness has a live album out called "Live At Hammersmith" ?
This is cool song. Woo!
This is a modern version of the immigrant song , and i love it !
I thought that was the opening track on this album.
Riff is similar to "Wanton Song" too.
Eargasim
omg yes!!!
Crackin !
Jebus Cripes is right man! Rifftastic
Those lyrics are grim
Megafayce was inspired by the sacking of Baltimore in Ireland
I'm so pissed I just found out about this riff today arrrghhhhhh
It's nice to catch up with what you guy's have been up to over the last few years. I guess I stopped listening to your tracks after I saw you live in Birmingham. It was awesome and so loud it didn't fun to listen to tracks anymore. Plus I didn't even know you were still at it.
The drum kit sounds like simon wrights drum set in the fly on the wall album. The drum playing even sounds like simon's playing.acdc meets queen.very interesting.hmm.
So much better than the wimpy title track! Great song. Fantastic riff!
For sex, you know.
Just in case you were unaware of their intentions.
Liumuzin Fires?Wow!
Ready for Rock?come on baby
This song is amazing. I hear it "Roger Waters".

The Rubberbandits brought me here.

guns n roses?anyone?maybe aerosmith?
what?
The riff sounds a little bit like "Rocket Queen - Guns 'n Roses"
modern version of The immigrant song :)
Yep it is somewhat Reminescent
This would be better with a better singer. Not powerful enough.
no
This is great. Thank you!
