Kevin I finally getting around to setting the DRO on my LMS Sieg X2D I ordered a Igaging 24'" DRO for the Z axis and you said you used a 12" do you get full use of your table with the 12" DRO? Thanks Bob
Hi Bob, they were advertised on ebay as 12". Here is a link to where I got them: www.ebay.com/itm/141056492922 I get the full range with no issues. 24 inches would be overkill. I just put a tape measure to it and the scale actually looks to measure closer 16. The advertised 12 inches must refer to the usable range.
The file for the X-axis scale bracket is only 7.5 x 2.3 x .2 mm. Are you sure you didn't mean cm (centimeters)? Likewise, X-axis side bracket is only 7.5 x 5 x 3.6 millimeters. My mini mill is small, but not THAT small : ) PS The Z-axis files are fine.
There is slight tapper on the side of the body. The bench mount was a simple 90 degree angle. I dont plan on moving the mill, so the bench mount was simpler and more convenient for me.
@@kevinfundarek5294 Thanks for the reply, I only asked as I'm doing the fit now, or 2 days ago, I fitted to the side on the taper, I just had to bend the bracket that fixes to the slider.
Great job! do you have the STL file for the transmitter for the X scale.
Thanks Bob. That file can be downloaded here:

The files use SAE/imperial units. Please check your import settings and import them as inches.
Why didn't you fit the y-axis to the body instead of to the bench?
