There is another race on youtube Craven Filter handicap at Albion Park on 13/06/81, I was at that meeting and remember the race because Koala King started from a 20 metre handicap like a shot of a cannon and led. Paleface raced in that race. Got an ovation when Pike brought him out, and also the crowd went nuts when Pike pushed him up to sit outside the leader. Those were the days, big crowds and great atmosphere. No more sadly.
Colin Pike R.I.P, a true legend of the sport along with Paleface Adios being an absolute champion.
Remember these great races & pacers like yesterday. A magical time at Harold Park, Sydney
what a champion he was
A wonderful pacer.🐎
