Bulldog had to slow down at the quarter when another horse pulled out. Then he used cover for a rest for 1/2 a mile… pulls out 3-wide and like a rocket shoots past the leaders like they’re standing still. He coasted for half a mile and still hit a 1:50 on a 5/8 track (equivalent roughly to 1:48 and change at Woodbine and 1:46 and change at Meadowlands)
Everyone talks about him being parked every step in this one, I used to do this a lot when I drove years ago, I had a couple horse that rarely seen the pilons. As long as you are not using them than it’s actually easier on the horse I believe. You are not taking the horse back or pushing them to get in a hole then starting them up again. Dexter did not use this horse at all until he went 3 wide and then he just cruised by them. Awesome drive Dexter and Bulldog.
This animal was a beast like no other fastest pacer in the world ever hung to 1/4 s in 25 and blowing by everyone not even breathing hard the began the fun watching the best harness horses in the world being embarrassed by this greatest of all pacers end of story
Thoroughbreds are in a gait from a standing start ! The fastest Thoroughbred mile is 1:31 2/5 from a standing start . The fastest Standardbred mile is 1:45 4/5 , that's about 70 lengths behind . From a starting gate that's doing 25 M.P.H. . Your dreaming !
This is one of my favorite wins. Took the long way home every step of the mile, blowing their mane's off in the stretch ❣️❣️❣️

Bulldog was just loafing through that one!🤣
Under a hand drive parked almost the entire mile.
Bulldog Hanover is an incredible horse wish they would bring him to northville in michigan before it closes in 2024

The goat 🐐
Won for a joke what a horse
This race impressed me because it was a monster mile and he didn’t even need the cover to win
145.4 says it all.

We'll see what he can do at Lexington.
That was the most insane mile, I ever seen on a half mile track.
It's a 5/8 track
Brutal trip and still won easy
The track is concrete
Allywag Hanover would be a legend any other year.
Track announcer: Barry Vicroy
Ken Middleton.
Hahaha, That Was Great 😃👍‼️
Some thoroughbreds are only a couple of seconds faster than he is which is pretty cool…it would be great to see him beat a thoroughbred

Good thing he had cover or Bulldog Hanover might not have won.
