Nawrocki reminds me of Ajer in the way he steps out with the ball. The first thing he thinks about is driving into the space.

agree with most of whats been said , but there is cause for concern,
the good news first,
celtic 66% accuracy re shots on target. to put that in perspective, the best angeball could do was 50%. Celtic moving the ball at mid speed rather than high speed ala angeball in the final third for more accuracy. hope this continues,
the not so good news
only 53 passes into the final third , compared to anywhere between 70 to 90 under angeball. average field position of the mids at or below the half way line. celtic mids sitting deeper , and slower build up play. celtics heat map no red zone anywhere near ross counties 18 yard box, compared to angeball red zone in and around the 18 yard box .
celtic on the weekend reminds me off slow slow fast tactics ala shaktar style.
rodgers celtic looks more stable in transition relative to angeball , but if the price is sacrificing final thirds, its asking for trouble .
ross county were relatively open , and celtic manage only 53, which is a figure they normally get with rangers , not good , it would have been interesting to see the narrative of the game, had ross county decided to sit about 10 miters deeper.
a wins a win , but if celtic doesnt get the average field position of the mids up , and passes into the final third metric up , there will be more dropped points this season,
re kyogo dropping into midfield, it caught RC by surprise , but stay tuned for tactical adjustments by the rest of the league . against a lower blocking pattern it wont work , because the opposition just concedes the space as a matter of policy.
rodgers needs to make some tactical tweeks, or this could be leicester last season all over again,
mind you , having watched rangers on the weekend , this season could already be over . they were dreadful, celtic look a level above them despite my concerns , but its early doors

I think Nawricki was great on the deck, but a bit weak in the air, tho he won’t be up against 6ft 6 strikers every week. Great analysis on the team shape 👍

for two years now i have been saying , based on the data , he is celtics best and only euro level mid , hopefull brendon rodgers agrees in the long run
Taylor has problems with throw ins as he can’t throw the ball very far. This slows up the game while he looks to find someone to throw to.

Nawrocki "commanding in the air"??? You surely aren't serous with that comment? He played well on the ball I would agree, but looks VERY weak in the air. Can hardly win a header. His stats back this up. Once again we can expect teams to attack that left hand side with diagonals, as both he and Taylor look undersized and aerially weak.
