well........ actually, it does. in thailand, as well as other asian countries that run these propulsion systems, the water is salt or brackish, very rarely fresh and pure. a mild steel pipe (basically what the kkk or sps prop shaft tube is) will corrode rapidly in those conditions, so in those countries they do pump the housings and the shaft housing full of grease until it escapes from the shaft bearing, to prevent any salt water from getting inside the tube. the grease is not a lubricant, just a water displacer. the cheapest grease would be used, probably rancid yak fat... the grease cups would get rotated on a schedule and refilled when empty. the system would constantly leak grease into the environment, hopefully just the rancid yak fat and vegetable oil... and families would depend on these things for their existence. they had to be cheap, reliable, economical to run and long lasting. but in 'murica, people get tired of their new toys quickly and throw them away, so that part wasn't shared with you. they also tend to run in fresh water and don't leave their motors in the water all of the time. on my old kkk i've never run it filled with grease and i only use it in fresh water. i take it apart to inspect it yearly and it's still corrosion-free. bought it in the 90's
The model i have is a gx200 tqx2. I didn’t know they sold a low rpm model because I would have got it ,but I will tell you this with the after market muffler, jet, springs and air filter this thing looks and performs awesome
@@801Outdoors actually happened to me one time because i didnt put the lagbolts in (was a normal outboard though ), engine hung on the steeringrod so i got it back on the boat but gotten dunked running at wide open trottle anyway , that was a costly mistake to fix (push pull steeringrod was bend prop taken a chuck of fiberglass out of the boat ) , engine never was the same after that and a lot of the moving components seized up a few times over the period i owned it (ignition retard trottle etc)
You ought to extend the transom bracket to take advantage of the 4 holes as supplied on the boat transom
It’s gonna be sweet. A nice job well done. One these day I will build one myself. Thanks, for the nice video it’s give me some ideas.

The grease in the housing is the only fitting to insert grease ? Is that same grease suppose to ride down into the entire shaft ?
no the shaft does not require grease
