Most bogged I've been is in a 1980 two wheel drive hilux with a tonne of firewood on the back. I got caught in a thunderstorm and after maybe 50mm of rain in half an hour, the steep logging trail turned to sludge. It was only me, my little brother and sister, and luckily my sister brought the quad. I rode it home maybe 10km shirtless in the rain and got mums rodeo out and it pulled the hilux up and out of the bog at idle and my little 7 yr old brother drove the hilux home. Gave the utes a clean and mum and dad never found out 😂
Hi mate, what kind of trailer hitch you got on the maverick? look like a standard tow bol on the ranger! And a flexible conversion on the trailer 🤔 Pretty keen to know Cheers mate 🍻
Top effort from Jocko, he gets in there and works hard on the recoveries! He drives that D Max so well too, When it comes to driving Graham is a good photographer.
My landcruiser and I have been bogged in Sydney for the last 4 months. If digging got me out of Covid lockdown I'd keep digging. Your channel keeps us all going. Thanks for everything you do!
I finally took my Nissan patrol out and put her through her paces, I cant thank rocket rod and his team for the heavy extreme trans, its bloody mental 💪💪💪 definitely does not disappoint
Another great watch thanks guys. I cant decide what my best bogging ever was, Hydrauliced a 47 in a hole in Wanangatta, Bogged a 4" 80 with 35's and twin lockers in the high country solo for 3 days, stuck in WA sand dunes resulting in 9hrs of winching. Bogged at Litchfeild NT that 7 other vehicles got bogged getting me out, or getting the Mighty AU falcon stuck on a tree across a track whilst using it well out side what fords design team had in mind. Regardless they are all character building and when you have good mates with you its where memories are made.
It doesn't matter what sort of shit you get stuck in , its the good people with you on the trip all in it together that memories are made of. Nobody remembers the easy trips where nothing goes wrong.....
In Montana so I can’t win but, while stationed in Washington my buddy drove off the track and his 76 Chevy sand down so deep we couldn’t open the doors. We hooked 9 trucks to it and yanked off the bumper but it lifted it high enough to hook to the frame. A couple of guys showed up with winches and 6 hours of digging and two winches and two trucks keeping constant pressure on it we finally pulled it out!!!
Better than any Netflix Show hands down . Nice Hearing Jocko doing some narration .And I've got to say you guys have balls running around in those wetlands bare foot with all those Joe Blakes
I remember when I was a teen, a bunch of us went out to what a few Adelaidians will know as Pelican Point, which is right on the edge of the Port River. Mate decided to send his Ford TX5 into the river, while practicing his rally driving. All we had between us was a 1979 corolla with the 1.2L engine and a TG Gemini to pull it out. Tide came in and put his car under water as our 2 little cars couldn't break the suction of the wet sand. One of our uncles came down with his VK Commodore with the 308 and a snatch strap. Ripped it out like it was a piece of paper. We all learnt a valuable lesson that day. One of us needed to get into 4 wheel driving which 2 of us did in the end.
Thank you for making so many great show's for us. I have been watching You, Roothy, Rocket, Chris from 4x4 Supacenta, Shawn, and a raft of other keen off roaders since shorty was almost water proof, The evolution of your 4x4 show has been fun to watch so, Thank you again for the cracking show's to watch while I give my 94 troopy a few up graded mods and a much needed full rewiring, (using a custom made loom from a mate who's knows the black art of 12 volt system's).
BOYS! I only just found your channel & I'm in LOVE! 😁 I LOVE watching the old Farm truck just ripping through it all! Keeping a close eye I that too, watching what gears you're using in each conditions. As a tough little Canadian chic that grew up with big Old F250s & lifted Chevrolets, I just bought my first 4wd here in Aus & can't wait to go get my Navara NP300 DIRTY! Love seeing all the awesome camp gear & the tips and tricks too! Big fan!
mate i’m in sydney and i just wanna get out of this lockdown and go off-roading. i don’t even care if i get bogged and try to get out for hrs at least i got to get out
One of the things I like best about this channel is the sharing of knowledge. I have been offroading for a long time and never saw the tire under the winch rope trick. Of course, I immediately shared it on Facebook with my local Jeep club. Much appreciated and cheers.
Most i've been bogged wasnt that bad, i managed to get out myself just going back and forward in the mud for about 10 minutes up at glasshouse, when i got home i realised i forgot to lock my hubs and i did everything in 2wd.
I’m in North Carolina. USA. The most stuck I’ve ever been was back in 2001. Got the bright idea to go wheeling by myself and found a nasty hole. After walking nearly 3 miles out of the woods to a strangers house to use the phone it too 2 full size trucks to pull out a jeep. Lesson of the day? Never go alone lol. Love the show guys
Most bogged Ive been is with my dad, we had just come home from an overseas holiday early in the morning so we decided to go pick up our pet dog from the kernels that day, since we live in the country there are dirt roads everywhere, well we are driving our old 2wd single cab tub triton to pick our dog up and didn't take any notice of the news or take a look at the previous weather forecast, this all came apparent when we entered a dry weather road only road. At first the mud bogs where certainly making us think about what gear to shift into, but about half way down the road we came to an absolute car swallower and decided we better reverse back, before our car was even in reverse we started sliding towards the bank on the dirt road and the second we hit that bank we were long gone and stuck with no chance of getting out on our own steam. we called a mate to help pull us out but his 4x4 could budge us, so we picked up our dog in his car and went home and left it for the night. the next day we had a landcruiser and a winch try pulling us out be that was no use, so we had to leave it yet another few days, the mud didn't dry like we thought it would so we went back to look at the conditions so dad could gage when we could get his car back. As he was calling a nearby farmer for his tractor, a small Suzuki Vitara was traveling past and offered a hand, dad almost laughed at this small stock Vitara, but the bloke was certain he could help, well sure enough, with only one large run up the snatch strap and the Vitara catapulted us out the bog almost pulling off the tow bar. definitely the most bogged I've seen considering the car was out on a public dirt road for a few days.
Every video you guys put out is truly classic. I look forward to the next one each time. As I have said before I envy you guys so much. Australia is so beautiful.
Hello 4WD 24-7 crew all the way from Moncton, New Brunswick Canada. I discovered you videos when everything was locked down last year and have been hooked since. Keep up the good work!
I ABSOLUTELY love you guys, I wish I could be there with you all, well done keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing videos as usual, you are all awesome. From a Pommy living in the USA wishing I was there with you all
I reckon you guys planned the get the MITS 79 stuck in that mud just to show how good the canopy is. Well your plan worked, now I am saving up to get one. :)
My 06 100 series td is sitting in my garage in Melbourne. I’m in Poland with my wife and family. I have every DVD and magazine you guys have ever made in oz, the only thing getting me through living here is you guys, Thank you, keep them coming and hopefully we can wheel when I get home in a year. Merry Christmas boys
muddy trip?, at time out 46:50 when the trailer digs into the mud, next tine you do have those orange pads, place one under the trailer stand using your tie downs in a 4 pattern or square pattern to slide over the mud instead of digging in?? i did this once on the front of my truck, and got out in 2wd, instead of roughing it out in 4wd, place them on the front tires, and slide out.
I’m very sure I just saw Grahams’ old maroon D-Max camping in Cobbold Gorge, north west QLD. The same dents, tyres, suspension, canopy, bash plate, and raptor coated bull bar.
I've been so bogged but i have never driven a track. How you ask, well it's quite simple. Bought a 2nd hand 4b for the first time, the following week victoria went into lockdown. Could you be any more bogged?
Most bogged at Teewah Beach in Pathfinder towing a Jayco camper. Went down off the entry way and found there was no hard sand, should have walked down first. A group of Park Rangers were there and hooked up to the camper with their Cruiser and got me out with the surf lapping not to far away. Taught me a lot about keeping the hitch high out of the sand and using low range. Spent our first night in a motel but got up there in the end. Cheers guys very entertaining vids.
The most stuck I have been was when I took the Grand Vitara (completely stock) up 'Big Sandy' at Byfeild National Park. Took about 3 hrs with 6psi to get to the top and we had to fill the wheel ruts in most of the way.
Mates, @ approx 49mins, I feel that it would be beneficial for the convoy to have @ least a set of block&tackle, better yet Everyone should have a set... the ratio with multiple sets....you blokes could theoretically pull it out by sheer bloke power! I know from experience having pulled a a full-sized Dodge van out of a Mire with a mere 10 Boy Scouts!
Dam it boys!! It’s 12:00 AM in the Pacific Northwest!! A girl has got to get her beauty sleep! Now I’m definitely gonna be up the next hour watching my favorite 4 wheelers! I’m gonna send you pictures of my little weapon on Instagram! ❤️🐞
Bogged to the door seals in my 80. I needed all 5 other rigs in the convoy to act at a massive anchor coz we were in a big salt flat. Took hours of recovery and DAYS of cleaning. Loved every second of it. Haha
Watching that 200 series really makes you think about track maintenance. Big V8 power, 35's and a heavy right foot. Very, very cool and awesome to watch! But even more impressive is that everytime the right foot got exercised every truck behind it got bogged to the chassis. Every. Single. Time.
Most bogged I've been was similar to the bog holes here. I got a stock Suzuki caught up on the frame rails on the last bog hole before the main road. Slipped off the track and into some ruts. I broke the cardinal rule and was 4x4ing by myself and had to call into town for a wrecker to winch me out, I was that close to the exit road. Tore up a tire on a sunken stump while trying to get free. I learned a couple lessons that day!
Hi Guys, This was a great trip (adventure) Having done lots of Off Road, Remote trips over the years. I always take some 2mm rubber to cover tyre splits on the inside and then fit a Tube and this has been used to get us through many trips. Maybe you have to try some of the older fixes. Yes I use many plugs but as well but always have a tube etc for remote places !!!
Hey Lads, the wheel helping you break the suction was great. If you get stuck like that again, use two wheels on the double line pull instead of one. This will improve the upward component of the pull even more than what you were doing. Great stuff, really enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up lads!
hahaha i love that quote from Graham after having the idea with the trailer. "Its actually quite Brilliant" iv heard that a few times just before doing something stupid with the boys
The most stuck I have been is glued to the Tv and couch in the shed watching 4wd 24/7 with a few beers cannot get out even with help. Keep up the great videos cannot wait to see the y62 💪🏽
another awesome trip / mission !!! LOL ...and that Saratoga that shauno court bloody awesome and its on camera LOL ...... BIG THUMBS UP GUYS :) those outtakes omg LOL 1:00:08
So many times ive watched this vid you cant help but say the old school cruiser she does everything all others do but with old school style budget or high end she gets job done solid 👊🏻🍻
Hey guys. This mud looks remarkably like the stuff we have here in the river bottoms in deep East Texas. Ive seen bulldozers and tractors sink nearly out of sight. Glad yall made it. Hope to see yall when i get to AU someday.
Getting flash backs from a few years ago. Just brought a 92 SR5 Hilux and decided to take it on some stuff tracks in Tassie. Long story short we broke a few snatch straps and a PDO winch on a shorty 40. Left it over night came back with 3 serious 4wds. Took all 3 to finally get my lux out. I was a very amateur off roader but not now I learnt my lesson and have learnt so much from you legends
We sunk a service truck for oil pipeline equipment while trying to get to a few tracked excavators. Over a 13 hour day of trying to give every piece of equipment a try at pulling it out, we gave that day. The next day we pulled 6 tracked excavators beside the truck to dig it out. When that did not work and we buried the equipment to. The only thing left was to use a long boom crane to lift the truck out. After 44 long grueling hours we recovered it. And then another 18 hours we recovered the tracked excavators too. That texas sand and mud is no joke.
Shoalwater Bay Feb 68 ex Grass Parrot. We had pack howitzers and they are towed by Landrovers. Choppered the guns out and pushed the rovers for days on end through the swamp where you could hear the crocs. I ended up walking out about 30 Ks..Rovers were sunk to the chassis and we had had Turfurs (spelling). We would cordoroy the tracks and maybe gain 20 metres at a time. Excercise just before Viet Nam at Mt.Spec. Too wet for the trucks so had to use M113s, APCs, as gun tractors.
Had a doozy up at Hill River just south of Jurien Bay WA. 38" tyres 8" lift in a GU Patrol. Stuck in the river for 9 hours with water almost touching the steering wheel. 2 broken snatch straps, a destroyed towbar on a 75 series. A legendary 80 series saved the day with 3 mooring anchors, 5 snatch blocks and about 150m of 30mm rope! What a time to be alive!
Great vid fellas 👌 had a similar night bogged to the chassis in a dual cab 79 in the middle of a paddock fox hunting. No other vehicles and not a tree in sight. Had to run the entire way home 5kms at 3 o’clock in the morning to get another vehicle to pull it out. After another 6 hours of digging and breaking winch ropes we finally had the big rig out.
I got a 1997 chevy T6500 24 ft moving truck stuck in mud where a friend said to park and it took 12 hours of digging to get that big truck out. Love your videos.
me and the misses went to a small 4x4 track to stretch the suspension a bit, I walked a mud hole which was completely dry, or so it seemed. I went in and only made about 3 meters as only the surface was dry. We went alone as we have done thousands of times but this one was the worst. We were stuck with the mud to the chassis and the wheels completely sunk in, with my winch at home cause Im building a new bumper for it, no recovery gear and not even a shovel. We were there for almost 24 hours, digging the Jeep out with rocks and branches. Needless to say, I will never take a mud hole on alone again, even if it seems dry. But this is how you make memories
Shauno my husband has been bogged in the lounge chair ever since he discovered your show 4WD 24/7. He has watched every episode, some twice 😂
Best reality tv show by far

Bogged to the door seals in my 80. I needed all 5 other rigs in the convoy to act at a massive anchor coz we were in a big salt flat. Took hours of recovery and DAYS of cleaning. Loved every second of it. Haha
just watching 4WD 24/7 makes my day and Is THE BeST time of the day when i watch a new episode
Yes I use many plugs but as well but always have a tube etc for remote places !!!
sam smashing through the mud! one of the best things ive ever seen! so sick!
I love the passion they all have for this.
So good to watch, keeps the lockdown depression away! Can't wait for this lockdown to end so we can enjoy the bush and mud again!
Timbo for australian of the year.. fkn legend
One of the Maxtraks ratchet strapped between the hitch and jockey wheel on the camper trailer (like a ski) might’ve helped when you had to drag it
I thought the same 👌🏼
So many times ive watched this vid you cant help but say the old school cruiser she does everything all others do but with old school style budget or high end she gets job done solid 👊🏻🍻
Fantastic adventure. We all dream about. But boys were was the cord on bleau. Segment. 😜🤪
Great for this coming out it’s given me something to take off my mind what happened today I had a house fire and it was not very great
We sunk a service truck for oil pipeline equipment while trying to get to a few tracked excavators.
This is awesome. Would love a episode with shaun and jocko in the farmtruck.
Always a great watch legends and with the trailer recovery I would of used the Max tracks at the front for a skid
40:00 man so cool how those big fish are hanging out in those almost vernal (seasonally dry) ponds!
23:10 U-Joint Trailer Hitch - - Excellent !!
Shaun and his stocking, I use that same method to keep my new radiators clean.. Works great!!
me and the misses went to a small 4x4 track to stretch the suspension a bit, I walked a mud hole which was completely dry, or so it seemed.
43:50 how is the water splashing in?!
Oh he didnt close it all the way
Had My Winch Cable Running through the window lip and didn’t seal perfectly and still getting the smell out 😅 - Bailey
