FRIENDSHIP - DRAINED YOU OR ENERGIZED YOU?

People say: "friendship is a life's treasure"
So why do mine feel like a social work I never volunteered for?
A liability for life that drained my energy rather than energized me?
So how do we nurture our friendship?
How do we know when we need to fight for it or when to let go?
Friendship is a reliable gift indeed, if we pick the right person to be in our lives.
