Hey Mike this is a great idea. you would easily be able to find pilots around a airport. just have to find ones that are willing to talk on camera. but when you tell them that they get to feature their aircraft and a short bio it should be fun for most of them and it wouldn't cost you as much money locating things to cover. Just an idea..
Just got checked out in this. It's a really nice airplane. But it's a little tricky to fly in windy conditions. Especially because the rudder is really small so crosswinds in this airplane can be a challenge. Other than that it's awesome
Did you fly it back to Ca from Fl yourself or have it ferried ? Thanks for the insight. I am just a little behind you in my flying journey at an older age. Thanks
I love tecnam products but I think I will be waiting on the new bristell highwing aircraft that will debut in germany in April 2020 and hopefully oshkosh 2020. Finishing my certificate for light sport in april.
The high wing config is a little retro but if entry is very handy and the plane isn't allowed to go fast anyway then high wing might be ok. And the plane looks reasonably modern. Not a terrible price. Certainly much more sophisticated plane than a carbon cub at similar price. Sidenote, commercial pilots could relatively quickly become a thing of the past as planes fly themselves. Might not happen as things move slowly in aviation.
@@flexairz hehe ye of little faith. Much of our society moves very slowly, desperately so in GA but change is coming. Two clowns with headsets looking at steam gauges with dreadful audio quality and a colonial propeller, that will go away. Aircraft of the future will be odd stoic birds of capable service. Almost alive. And not so long from now they will have no engines and go to space like a humming bird goes to the next branch.
Hmm I counted 4 videos out of the last 20 that are Sling related. Somebody's not watching all the videos 😊 Oh and Sling Pilot Academy is a proud sponsor of Mojogrip.
Mike has been wanting to interview Mario for a while now. Ever since he found out Mario owned a tecnam. Mario lives near Torrance airport which is why he chose to learn with sling. This particular interview is purely coincidental. But again like everyone else said, what do you expect? They sponsor him, give him tons of connections and content ideas and honestly, his channel is starting to evolve from top ten lists to more build stuff anyways and when the plane is done it will be more travel oriented.
Love his story. When working on my pilots licensee been slow with family and kids. Found this encouraging to continue on.
Keep up the great work @Mojogrip we enjoy the content!
Enjoyed hearing this man's story, just so real, authentic. Can totally relate --except the part about being semi-retired, and cash-flow to buy/fly
great content...... you should make this a mini-series...... called ‘everyday pilots’

Man that Tecnam is a sweet ride! Owning your own plane is definitely where it's at. Done right, it can totally be cheaper then renting or clubbing.
The guy needs info on Diamond da40 ng. He'll love the performance and efficiency.
4:40- casually sitting behind a F18 and a F14. Whew, what a place. Great video Mike!
Yea some old war birds sitting behind the field there lol
to each his own story, beautiful story too ❤😊
good onya Mario....cool story bro......onwards & upwards, blue skies
Ohhh... fantastic... god job Mike..

Love your story!
Those discovery flights will grab a lot of people .
Go do a review on the Shark - I want to see it...will pry be test flying it in April
I may have missed it, did he stop at Sport Pilot or did he continue to Private?
How are the landing characteristics and cruise speed compared to the sling 2 lsa? Also how is the noise level and build quality comparing the two?

What's better in the Bristell or rather why do you prefer the Bristell?
Maurice Evans A 915 iS high wing Bristell would be awesome, but it’s hard to beat the P2008’s handling.
Maurice Evans I do love my Tecnam, but I wouldn’t complain if I had a 915 and a few extra seats. 😁
"Sling Pilot Academy Promo"
Too bad Mario and the rest of us have to cancel any ideas of going to Oshkosh this year
Stud, fly on.

Thats a pipe dream. There will always be a pilot on board an aircraft.

say no more 'flying doodles'
This channel has become the Sling Aircraft RUclips channel. Might as well rename it.
They are one of his sponsors.
Well duh they are a sponsor and he’s building one. Why wouldn’t it be in his rotation.
He probably just does these videos because he is building his sling in California
